CLOUDFORGE - idle/mmo rpg

www.playcloudforge.com

This is a self promotion post, but i wanna also raise a discussion about the topic.

This game is entirely vibecoded with ClaudeAI and images are generated with ChatGPT and Gemini.

I'm working on this project on a daily basis, it's been 50 days and i didn't skip a single day.

It's basically Ogame with events, guild activities, weekly guild war and rpg mechanics.

Mainly thought for mobile use then adjusted to desktop as well. Can be played on browser or downloaded as WebApp. (launched on july 3, 55 daily players and active discord server)

I've posted a video overview so you can explore it without having to register or do anything.

How "AI slop" is this?

Because i thought i had a great idea, and honestly the game feels nice and alive, and all the active players think the same.

But here on reddit i came across a lot of AI generated game, most of which were really low quality.

So im wondering if im actually doing something good or im wasting my time.

I have a lot of respect for the real developers, and i don't wanna take the same credits but i believe AI can be a great tool, but like every tool you need to have the knowledge and the ability to run it otherwise you're gonna chase the ai correcting and balancing whatever it codes without even understanding it.

The metaphor i use is that even if you're given a crane (ai tool), you won't be able to build a skyscraper without knowledge.

I'm not a professional dev, but i work in IT and marketing and have done -before AI- countless websites, basic apps, crm's and so on. So even though im not an expert on databases for example i understnd pretty much how they work and how a project should be structured, what are the components etc.

------------------------------------------------

The baseline of ai coded apps posted on here is pretty low.

Honestly, do you think that vibecoding is a viable way of creating these kinds of apps if thought through? And is it viable if you have the knowledge and a clear idea of your final product?

A really idle game

Hey guys, I'm developing Aeons Odyssey.

It's a idle game. And by idle, I really mean it, as you can see above on the video: you do not need to do anything, your ship scans planets for resources and explore the galaxy to find other planets, all by itself. No limitation. Let it run for 10h, and you'll get all benefits, no stupid limitation like inventory size that blocks your progress or anything similar.

Then when you are available, you can jump on it and manage your stuff:

  • buy new ships,
  • craft items,
  • create colonies,
  • equip your ship or your colonies with your crafts,
  • switch to another planet according to resource market prices, or because your friends moved somewhere else (yes, there is async coop if you craft items for that),
  • learn new skills in Eve Online style,

The game also features a companion mode to focus on other things, and offline progression to keep gathering money when you can't use your PC. And asynchronous PvP is in the plans for the full release with 1-1 duels against friends or people in the Leaderboard.

If that sounds interesting to you, head to the Steam page; there's a free Playtest opening tomorrow if you want a first taste!

Finally letting people try the sci-fi idle game I've been building

I've been building an idle-ish sci-fi game for quite a while, mostly because I wanted something where progress feels like you're actually building and exploring something rather than just watching numbers go up.

It's called Ascion. You send agents out into a large galaxy, explore, mine resources, upgrade your capabilities and gradually push further out.

I've kept it mostly to myself while building it, and I'm finally at the point where I want to let a small number of actual players try it.

Which is honestly slightly terrifying 😅

I'm looking for maybe 20–30 people who genuinely enjoy idle/progression games and don't mind that things might still be rough or occasionally broken.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, DM me and I'll get you into the closed beta.

Idle game for mobile that doesn´t have an offline reward limit

Like the title says, I am looking for an Idle Mobile Game that doesn´t have an offline reward limit. So, I could just go on vacation for 2 weeks without touching my phone and come back to all the offline rewards.

Do you know of Idle Games who have this?

Idle games like Melvor, Idle Clans etc but new??

Hello I’m not sure what they fall under but does anyone know any new or any upcoming games that are similar to Idle Clans, Melvor idle and other games like that which have the idle skilling (RuneScape like) vibes?

Just looking for one that’s only recently released or due to be released soon. Thank you
