Remembering Major Jojy Joseph on His Balidan Diwas: A Life of Courage, Duty and Sacrifice

On the Balidan Diwas of Major Jojy Joseph, we remember a courageous officer of the Indian Army whose life was defined by dedication to duty, leadership and selfless service to the nation. Born on 21 February 1976 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Major Jojy Joseph grew up with a strong sense of discipline and patriotism. From an early age, he dreamed of serving in the Armed Forces and worked tirelessly to turn that dream into reality. After completing his education, he was commissioned into the Indian Army and joined the Maratha Light Infantry, one of the Army's most distinguished infantry regiments. Throughout his military career, he earned the respect of his fellow soldiers and superiors through his professionalism, commitment and willingness to lead from the front. As an officer, he served in challenging operational environments where courage and quick decision-making were essential. During his deployment in counter-insurgency operations, Major Jojy Joseph consistently displayed the qualities expected of a leader entrusted with the lives of his men. On 8 June 2005, while engaged in operations against militants, he made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. Though his life was cut short at the age of just 29, his actions reflected the highest traditions of the Indian Army and the values for which it stands. Those who knew him remembered him as a dedicated officer, a caring leader and a man of unwavering integrity who always placed duty before self. His sacrifice serves as a reminder of the immense challenges faced by soldiers serving in difficult and dangerous conditions far from their homes and families. More importantly, his life demonstrates that true heroism is often found not in grand moments of recognition but in the daily commitment to serving a cause greater than oneself. Today, as we remember Major Jojy Joseph on his birth anniversary, we honour not only the soldier he became but also the ideals he represented—courage in adversity, devotion to comrades and an unshakeable commitment to the nation. His story continues to inspire countless young Indians who aspire to serve their country with the same sense of purpose and dedication. Though years have passed since his sacrifice, the memory of Major Jojy Joseph remains alive in the hearts of those who value service, honour and the enduring spirit of the Indian soldier

Started a Biblical Greek Series in Hindi on YouTube.

Hello everyone,

I have recently started a Biblical Greek course in Hindi for Indian Christians, Bible students, and anyone interested in studying the New Testament in its original language.

This is my first video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQBK4NuoQy4

My goal is to make Greek learning simple and accessible for Hindi speakers, since most available resources are in English.

I would genuinely appreciate your feedback on:

Teaching style, Explanations or What topics you'd like covered in future lessons

I'm still learning and improving, so honest criticism is welcome. Thank you for taking the time to watch and help me make the course better for the Indian Christian community.

God bless you! 🙏

Is anyone attending the Jaipur Brethren Church on Sundays?

Location near Gurjar ki Thadi

I previously used to attend Bible Chapel and the RC Church. Since the last Sunday, I'll be going to the Brethren church.

The pastor here is really friendly, wise and theologically sound. Many Rajasthanis and South Indians here. Very good family.

What are you supposed to do with Holy Water the church gives you?

I was given a small bottle of holy water from my church and I am not sure what the proper use is outside of the church setting.

Do people keep it at home for blessings, use it during prayer, or is there a specific way it should be used or stored? I have seen some people sprinkle it around the house or make the sign of the cross with it, but I do not know what is considered appropriate or meaningful.

I would like to understand how others use it in daily life and if there are any traditions or guidelines I should follow.

Thank you and Peace of Christ be with you all always 🙏🏻

I need to speak to a catholic regarding Confirmation (The Third Sacrament).

Hello, I am 23 year old, Medical Intern from Mumbai and I am not confirmed yet. My church had closed down and the next year we had shifted to a new place. I didn't get confirmation because it was a new place and I didn't feel comfortable.

I then went to a medical college where i'm an Intern today. My dad is after me to get confirmation, I still don't feel interested and feel i'm past that age.

How important is confirmation? Is it necessary if I plan to get married in a catholic church?
