Freakin beautiful. I dont know when it arrived as my tracking has been stuck but was pleasantly surprised to see my doorman grabbing this for me.

Just received this watch today. Here are my initial thoughts...

1. The packaging is nice and the supplied tool for bracelet adjustments is also stamped on the end with the Ixdao logo, a very nice touch.

2. I dig the retro bracelet, it stands out and is very comfortable with smaller polished links and brushed solid end links. I appreciate the screw in links as opposed to the cheaper Seiko push pins.

3. The dial is gorgeous, understated in normal inside lights (almost looking like a black enamel) but really glimmers & shines in direct light and outdoor sunlight. It sort of looks like the night sky on a dark night. Simply gorgeous.

4. The orange second hand gives the watch a sportier look and complements the dark blue ceramic bezel nicely. I'll definitely be trying this on an orange rubber strap at some point.

5. The clasp is very nice and engraved with the Ixdao logo. The on the fly adjustment makes for easy adjustments throughout the day.

The not so good.

1. It was supposed to come with a bracelet and 1x nylon nato style strap with signed buckle. I didn't receive the nato, I've already messaged them through the Reddit App, we'll see how they respond.

2. The bezel isn't the easiest to grip and turn. It's still way easier than my Omega Diver 300, but not as easy of some of my Seikos.

3. The size looks good on my 7 inch wrist, but these "turtle style" cases wear smaller than their diameter would suggest so it works for me, but I could see people wanting it in 41mm or 42mm.

TBD:

Accuracy: I've set it and I'll be tracking how well it keeps time, hopefully I got a good one.

That's it! If you're on the fence, I'd definitely recommend pulling the trigger.

I love the proportions of the 37mm case and 22mm lugs.

I'm at Silverstone for the British GP this weekend so there was only one watch i could wear.

While IXDAO is working on its version of a microadjust, I'll toss this out there to add to the speculation. This push-pull microadjust looks more refined than the one Christopher Ward rolled out in late 2024. This is the best setup I've seen so far for butterfly bracelets because it doesn't leave a gap as the bracelet is extended. Has anyone else found one that is cooler or more elegant?

I’d love to see IXDAO do a clean, understated limited edition inspired by Grand Seiko’s Snowflake - not as a homage, but by capturing the same feeling of light, texture, and refinement.

Crisp white textured dial inspired by freshly fallen snow.
Heat (thermally) blued hands, including the seconds hand, for a subtle pop of colour that changes with the light.
Applied, polished IXDAO logo instead of a printed logo to add depth and elevate the dial.

Polished applied indices to complement the clean aesthetic.
No date to preserve symmetry.

Keep the existing Warrior case and bracelet with its excellent brushing and polishing.

I think this would perfectly balance modern integrated-bracelet design with traditional watchmaking touches. The textured dial provides visual interest without being loud, while the thermally blued hands add just enough contrast and craftsmanship to make the watch feel special. It would be elegant, highly legible, and something that could be worn every day or dressed up.

This is the kind of design that doesn’t rely on bold colours or gimmicks - it lets the finishing do the talking.

- Maybe a the removal of the ring under the bezel.

- Inverted polishing on the bezel.

- Sw 200- movement instead of Miyota 9(raise premium of watch.)

- Instead of Enamel(which everyone has done), maybe a matte, BUT enamel is still awesome.

- New(temporary) amd exclusive logo for the limited(maybe an anniversary logo and to have the watch released on your anniversary)

- Hardened steel

Not the best rendition but it’s close! It’ll probably look even better in person.

The Midnight Warrior

Ignore my specs as the warrior can keep the same movement and case. Envision this, the dial is a sunburst dial similar to that of the nautilus, inspired not only by the color but the actual texture. What is different instead of horizontial grooves, is further insoiration of sand dunes in blowing wind.

If the Nautilus was a dial made of sand, blow your breath on it and see the pattern the sand makes.

Wavy embossed pattern inspired by Nautilus but chaoticized. This dial would be an original design, one characterized by its midnight tone brought to life even more in the light and in dimly lit rooms. Just like staring at the sea you have the different depths noted by its deeper tones and the lesser light being the moon still catching the waves with it subtle glimmer.

Id call it "THE MIDNIGHT WARRIOR"
