I remember reading a fanfic where Elizabeth is very close to a family of nobility. they have been gone abroad (possibly in Spain or Portugal?) to visit the (Duke?'s) wife's family. They have several children one of them is the heir and he also really likes Lizzy a lot. the family would be happy with the match but Lizzy thinks of him more like a brother. I remember him sneaking into her sitting room the day she arrives and talking with her before she goes down to meet the family. She does not have any romantic aspirations for him even if his family would be happy to have her as part of their family. I feel like she spent summers with them? I can't remember exactly how she got to be connected to the family but I seem to remember she saved someone from an accident or drowning? maybe I'm mixing this up with another fic. Please help if anything rings a bell or you have any leads!

I thought it was Confounding Caroline by Leenie B. but I'm wrong. Now I tentatively think C. Earle but it's just an idea.

Caro wants Pemberley desperately and knows something about Ramsgate but not much, so invents some suggestive details. She tells her friends or gets Darcy.

So there's a plan, they tell her many details about guys with similar names, for example Wickham, so Williams, Willbourne, Wicky, and for Ramsgate - Margate, Harrowgate. And so on and on. Also some very veird stories. So Caro no longer remembers when, where, who did what. It all happens in Netherfield but the Colonel is there? There was a confrontation where she behaves like a mad person.

The main plan was proposed by E. And there were letters?

I think this one was published on Kindle. Early in the book, Miss Bingley tries to trick Darcy into proposing at Netherfield; Darcy evades by claiming he had become engaged to Elizabeth the night prior. He tries to convince Elizabeth to continue the ruse for a while; she agrees because she’s avoiding Mr. Collin’s proposal.

Anyone remember the title or author? Thanks a bunch!

I’m looking for a (probably) published book. In it, Jane and Lizzy had attended a girls’ school from which they had rescued several students from a fire. Lizzy and Darcy meet in town. Darcy has an original character cousin who was
* spoiler also involved in the school fire

Thanks!

I believe her books are created using AI. Of the ones I’ve read, they are well done, unlike others AI generated P&P stories.
This one is currently free if you want to check it out.
