How do we help small business competition?

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. They create jobs, support local communities, and keep opportunity close to home. Yet too often, government policies make it easier for large corporations to thrive while small businesses face rising costs, limited resources, and an uneven playing field. Instead of investing in local businesses, we have prioritized short term gains that leave many entrepreneurs struggling to grow.

We can level the playing field by expanding access to loans and capital, restoring support for the Small Business Administration, and investing in infrastructure like high speed broadband and reliable transportation. Small businesses need the tools to compete and succeed. I will fight for policies that strengthen local businesses because they create jobs, drive innovation, and are vital to our communities.

House Inspectors

Hello!

I’m pleased to announce my wife and I are in the process of buying our first home 🥳

That being said, we need to get an inspection done, and I was curious if anybody had any recommendations? My realtor gave me a couple of companies, but I’m curious on who you guys went with and why! Thank you!

Influence/ De influence Apartment List

I made a post a few days ago about looking for apartment recommendations in the New Albany/Jeff area. Thank you to those who responded! Below I have a list of me and my husband‘s favorites after looking online for a while. We want a 2 bedroom for under 1300 and pet friendly. We would also prefer to have in unit laundry.

Klerner Lane Apartments

The Reserve at the Riverbend

Spring Street Commons

Lochwood Apartments

Boulder Creek Apartments

Hidden Creek Apartments

Armstrong Farm

Rivers Edge Residences

Flats on 10th

Silver Creek Commons

The Commons and Common Hill Apartments

Please let me know if any of these have red flags! Or if you have good things to say about any of them, that is helpful too. We’re hoping to move in by November so there’s still time, but reviews are also very important. TYIA!

Two flat tires

Morning everyone. I'm in a terrible bind; my car is up for repossession and I've been hiding in different places by my apartment. Saturday I discovered I had a leak in one tire. Got the spare on. Yesterday I discovered another tire also leaked out. If anyone can help me it would restore hope and belief in the world and others. Thanks.

Blue Boar Cafeteria

Does anyone remember when the Blue Boar in Southern Indiana closed? On Wikipedia it says the last few in Louisville closed in 1995, 1999 and 2003 but I think it was prior to this.

I used to go there with my grandma when I was a young child. Pre-1995.

Thanks!

Does Adrienne's still do 9¢ spaghetti?

I haven't been there since before Covid and I'd love to start going again if they still do it. If so, is it still on Thursdays from 5-8? With inflation, is it now like 14¢ spaghetti? 😆
