Apartment Recommendations

Hi all! My boyfriend (26M) and I (23F) are looking for an apartment in the Jeff area. Our budget is around 1300 and we have cats. We want to move in by mid November of this year. I’ve heard good things about Holomans crossing and Wolf Run Park. We also have Silver Creek, Spring Street, and the Reserve at the Riverbend on our lists.

We plan on touring some of these places next month. Do you have any good or bad things to say about these places? Or are there any not listed you recommend?

Looking for special gift for boyfriend graduating X-Ray school.

Hi!

My boyfriend is about to graduate RAD tech school, and he has been working so hard meanwhile still making time for me and being an amazing partner. Of course I would love to surprise him with a job position lol, but I want to give him something really special. I can’t afford anything in the four digit and up area unfortunately, but I would love any gift ideas that you have!

For context, he and I are moving into an apartment together in a couple months after he lands a job so I was thinking maybe something for his video game set up in our place? He loves cooking, cars, gaming, and he is a great cat dad. Anything that has to do with any of that would probably be an excellent gift. I’ve scoured Etsy, but I’m not really finding anything that is special enough.

Middle School Play Recommendations

Hi all!

I'm planning for my first year as a middle school theatre teacher! I am needing some play reccomendations for each semester. From my experience, middle schoolers love comedies, so I am mainly looking for those!

I am not sure how many students to expect for auditions, but after looking at old cast pictures on the site, there were around 20 kids.

Influence/ De influence Apartment List

I made a post a few days ago about looking for apartment recommendations in the New Albany/Jeff area. Thank you to those who responded! Below I have a list of me and my husband‘s favorites after looking online for a while. We want a 2 bedroom for under 1300 and pet friendly. We would also prefer to have in unit laundry.

Klerner Lane Apartments

The Reserve at the Riverbend

Spring Street Commons

Lochwood Apartments

Boulder Creek Apartments

Hidden Creek Apartments

Armstrong Farm

Rivers Edge Residences

Flats on 10th

Silver Creek Commons

The Commons and Common Hill Apartments

Please let me know if any of these have red flags! Or if you have good things to say about any of them, that is helpful too. We’re hoping to move in by November so there’s still time, but reviews are also very important. TYIA!

Inherited Sewing Machine

Hi all!

I want to start sewing and my mom gave me my late great-grandmother's sewing machine. I believe it's from the 80s. It's a Singer 6244.

I know very little about sewing and where to start. I haven't been able to find any youtube tutorials about this machine either. I guess I just want to know.. where do I start and what are some good resources with leanring about this machine? I don't think it will be my long-term machine since it's older but I figured a free machine would be great as I learn!
