Am I not seeing something or am I just super negative? 😂

I see so so so much love for the new people in the new videos seeing really upvoted comments saying how each addition so far is perfect and that people have new favourite cast dynamics.

I’m 15 year + subscriber and really don’t see anything that suggests the new potential cast members being so iconic? I mean help me if I’m wrong, I’m all for new members but it just feels like a group of people I don’t know not doing anything ‘iconic’ playing board games ?

How to introduce new cast members vs. how NOT to introduce new cast members

Was watching the new Uno Teams video on Smosh Games where they introduced some potentially new cast members, and it reminded me of how it felt like the opposite of Full Squad Gaming announcing their new cast. Smosh is basically incorporating the new people into their content slowly, wheras Full Squad fired the old members and brought new people in as their replacements.

That First Reddit Story

Was the most AI sounding thing I've ever heard. It was absolute nonsense. Like, usually we can turn our brains off a little bit even with the definitely fake stories, but that whole story was incoherent. It was practically an AI ad for the AI band.

Crazy fans ruin it for everyone

Granted, you can say this about literally fanbase but I feel like just the sensitive nature of this fanbase really hurts everything as a whole. It feels like so many fans will sit through every video just waiting for something they deem “problematic” so they can rush to “call it out” to make themselves feel like good people. And then they wonder why reddit stories and TNTL are so “safe” and don’t make them laugh anymore. I genuinely think the cast is scared to give any real opinion on anything these days.

"Older" fans of Smosh: how did integrations of new cast members felt like?

So I'm a more recent fan of Smosh (I got introduced to it after some cast members cameo-ed on Dropout), so to me, Angela, Arasha, Chanse, Trevor, etc. feel like "staples" of Smosh. I know they arrived fairly recently all things considered compared to Shayne, Courtney, and ofc Ian and Anthony ; but what I'm saying is that I don't really know how their introduction to the team felt like, from the audience's point of view that is.

With all that chit-chat about Smosh adding new cast members (with the Uno tournament, the Assumptions and Reddit stories appearances, etc.), I'm curious: from a viewer standpoint, how did it "felt" like when the newer but current cast members started appearing in more and more videos?

"Felt" may be the wrong word it, but what I mean about that is: as a member of the audience, was the introduction "smooth"? Were there complaints of older fans? Etc.

Because, from getting hyperfixated on Smosh, I've been getting the sense the fandom can be "possessive" of the cast members sometimes, and that there's that anxiety of newer cast members "replacing" old cast members. Was that already the case before, or it is a more recent / prevalent feeling nowadays?

I can speak for myself and say I'm very excited / intrigued by the new potential cast members. I loved Jared in the Pride episode of Reddit stories, and Eli on that one games video was really fun (though I'm not sure if I fully get Eli's "humor" just yet, but I digress). But reading on the main smosh subreddit and on this sub, it feels like there's a focus on the new members meshing well or not with the current cast members, which makes sense, though it was not something I looked for. Also (and idk if this was intentional), but the way the Uno video was framed (at least, in the teaser, haven't watched the video yet) felt like it was a sort of "competition" to enter smosh, and it does feel quite unlike smosh, so idk.

Any answers is appreciated :))

thoughts on what new smosh friends could mean

just wanna preface to say i'm super excited to see more of these new smosh members (especially guchi and the eli/angela dynamic omg)

i have this feeling that these new introductions are a precursor to potential near future departures? i definitely don't see keith, liv, noah, and damien as much as i used to. i have this feeling that there are going to be some departures from older smosh era members (not like full leave but like from cast members to just guests/production) and once the new members are fully integrated and the audience adjusts to them.

would love to hear other people's thoughts !

Resident Evil 9 Smosh games

Does anyone know if we’re gonna get the resident evil nine play through with Angela, Amanda and Spencer?
I got introduced to the games through their play through and I’ve been trying to be spoiler free for resident evil nine because I remember them saying they were gonna play it but I’m wondering if that is ever gonna happen, have they already played it? Have I miss something?

Alternatives to Smosh?

Does anyone have recommendations for other channels to watch that are fairly similar to Smosh?

They've been pretty much the only YouTube channel I've consistently watched for a long time, so now that I'm looking for something to watch instead of them I find I don't actually know what's out there.

Hidden in Plain Sight

this apparently wasn’t allowed in the main sub.

I love the hide and seek videos but I’ve noticed they are really starting to mimic the Vat19 “Hidden in Plain Sight” series. More so the older original videos in the series and not so much the crazier less believable ones they are currently producing. This latest Smosh Hide and seek REALLY felt like it.

Amanda has been glowing since meternitly leave

I've been thinking about this for weeks, and I need to know if anyone else agrees because I haven't seen anyone talk about it.

Can we talk about how EXTREMELY GORGEOUS Amanda has looked since she came back from leave? I've always thought she was beautiful, but IDK if it's because I missed seeing her so much or if it's the new haircut, but every time she's in the newer videos I can't stop staring. She seriously looks like she's GLOWING lately! need to see if people are thinking the same since Ive been thinking this for WEEKS!!
