AoF Quest Horde mode

My playgroup who normally plays AoF Quest with bricks minifigures tested our the horde variant for he first time.

Using my own Build-A-Army faction

Bat Lords enemy list which is basically vampiric undead.

Was great fun! It was definitely a new flow compared to normal quest and that was cool. And we were confused about how to get gold outside looting. I guess you are not ment to 🤔(no worries, we made house rules for some gold after each wave😅)

But all of us hade some issues with the army forge sadly, leading it to get stuck on loading and having us redo/simulate previous waves several times 😬
It seems to be an issue that the session isn’t really saved outside it, in normal quest you can always redo the session easily as the hero progress themselves are saved in the account.

You've been hired by the LEGO group to make a prototype lego-based board game to expand their customer base. No theme or setting is off-limits. You have to deliver your prototype in 3 months. What is your idea?

Hawk Fly Figure

Inspired by reading through the latest Brassbound update, but honestly not very in theme for that game. I also built a plane, but again not particularly in theme.

First playtest of Project Warbirds

Project Warbirds is an air combat game set during the cold war and afterwards that uses the stress a pilot and aircraft airframe suffers during high octane dog fights to determine the turn order and dynamically changing it during the course of a game.

It was found under playtesting to be simple to get into despite one player's inexperience with miniature wargames and completely new ruleset. We were able to get two games done within an hour. There were however some kinks that need to ironed out, but thankfully nothing major.

The two matches comprised of two F-4J Phantom IIs on one side, each armed with 4x AIM-7E-2 Sparrows and 4x AIM-9G Sidewinders, as well as a Mk 4 Mk 11 Mod.5 gunpod, facing off against two MiG-23MLDs, both carrying 4x R-60M, 1x R-24R and 1x R-24T. In the end, both sides went home with a win and a loss.

War hammer minis

been messing around with some war hammer minis I made a while ago. Been really struggling to make a game that doesn’t already exist, if anyone has any tips that would be great.

Making custom terrain tiles for micro DnD

I’m designing custom terrain tiles based on miniatures inspired by u/kala_brick. I put tiles between the 2x2 jumpers to make a grid pattern while also adding some space so miniatures can fit next to each other. The design is kind of complex, but it all holds together really well. Let me know what you think!

My custom TTRPG ship, The Midnight Kiss (Imperial Flagship mod inspired by the Black Pearl)

So, I wanted to build this ship from my campaign called the Midnight Kiss. I started by using the Imperial Flagship instructions and made modifications along the way.

The ship in the campaign was inspired by the Black Pearl (if that isn't obvious), so I had to make several changes to the deck and the interior to make it fully playable. I also moved the galley/kitchen to the front (historically correct location), added the double stairs on the back, and used just one door for the captain's cabin. Speaking of the captain's cabin, I made several changes like adding a bed and a personal wash station, though it came at the cost of removing the organ that the original Flagship had.

Other minor changes include the figurehead and the tail lights (both inspired by the Black Pearl), moving the kitchen table to the side, and adding an anti-magic sigil to the prison.

I will probably never build this in real life since it's going to be very expensive, but if I ever run a full nautical campaign, this is what I would want my players to have. It leaves plenty of space for great boarding battles and works as a good, big battlemap to play on.

The last picture shows what I had in mind for a battlemap at the docks, where I will be running a one-shot soon (without the ship). I hope you like it!
