I uninstalled Overwatch because of the LW changes

I know no one will really care, but I'm making this post anyway.

Lifeweaver was my main, literally one of the few heroes that I played and I thought was fun.

He was finally in a good place for about a month, but I guess Lifeweaver is not allowed to have above a 50% win rate.

The double nerfs with no compensation buffs just feels so bad, especially because they haven't even changed the cancel button from Jump, which is beyond stupid.

And then Blizzard thinks that JPC of all heroes needed buffs.

I'm done. They took the one hero I enjoyed playing and took away the one thing he was good at.

I have a backlog of games I need to finish anyway, so now is a good excuse to play them.

It's been fun while it lasted y'all.

Every new season, I go to the Mythic Shop, pick Weaver, close my eyes, open them, and cry.

It's impossible to put into words just how long and how eagerly I've been waiting for his Mythic skin.

So many fan-made concept arts. So many fantasies. So many hopes.

A hero with enormous potential for a Mythic skin.

October 14, 2025. Season 19. The arrival of the Mythic skin. Disappointment. Denial of reality. Pain.

For two hours, I rotated this mythic skin in different directions, tried out different color schemes, and tested the skin on the training ground.

In the end, I spent all Mythic Prisms I had saved up on skins for Sigma, Reaper, and Ana's Mythic weapon.

Every new season, I go to the Mythic Shop, look at his Mythic skin, and just buy a different one.

Forgive them, Lifeweaver 🥀

(Starting with the seventh image, this is just some shit I made on in my spare time for about 15/20 min. Just for fun. And guys, this owl from WoW is definitely not superfluous. THEY ADDED THOSE 2 DAMN LEVITATING CARP FOR GENJI)

Lifegrip cancel on crouch?

Do you think that moving the lifegrip cancel button from jump to crouch would make this slightly less annoying with people accidentally cancelling? This would fix things overall, but I think it would at least be a little better.

Lost a ranked match because of one life grip

Was playing LW defending Circuit Royal and just have to vent about this. My Zarya was in absolute critical health where I had no time to charge another petal, so by instinct I pulled her in but at the same time she decided to grav. She just stared at me and said “good job” and proceeded to throw the rest of the game. She refused to even leave spawn after dying and said we lost the match because of me. Mind you, this is AFTER the weird update where they can jump out of grip so she literally could have done that and things would have been fine. I truly wish they made the change where we can cancel grip ourselves just to get the utility out of the bubble cleanse because it’s so annoying to deal with salty players who think you did a bad grip just because you stopped them in their tracks. Just wanted to vent about this here because I’m hoping the devs are reading the subreddits to get a clue of how games are going lol.

Crosshairs

Less a serious question and more a curiosity question- but I LOVE customizing my game, and when I saw you can do different crosshairs for healing and damage, I got curious if anyone had customized them and if you'd be willing to share the difference?

I use legacy controls, so having different crosshairs really helps me tell what I'm holding when I get lost in the moment, using the circle and crosshair for thorns, and those 3 rectangles going down in green for heals. Just another visual que to add to the board, you know?

Do You Guys Really Think Cancelling Grip is a nerf/detriment?

Weaver almost singlehandedly lost a fight by yanking away his Nano-Annihilation Ram, but he cancelled out of it and ran the enemy team down.

I would like to point out that Grip still has value here. If the enemy Ana had slept and antid Ram then grip would’ve cleansed, Ram would’ve woken up and cancelled grip, then proceeded to run down the enemy team.

Outside of situations like these, your tank DOES NOT always want to be yanked 20+ meters away behind his dps and support. Being cleansed, healed, and being pulled 5 meters back from a bad situation while being invulnerable is much better than being express delivered to a petal 30 meters away. The players need to learn to utilize, adapt, and adjust.

By blizzards own logic Mercy resurrection should be cancelable

I came to this realization, but with the new Lifeweaver patch and their logic around giving players more control and preventing griefing, mercy rez should be cancelable. I‘ve heard so many people bitch about trying to change characters and just getting revived, plus mercy mains (as someone who plays with a mercy main consistently) make a point to hit objectively bad revives, reviving you into the middle of the enemy team, when your entire team is dead, etc, just because they can. Mercy revive should be fucking cancelable but blizzard realized they made a comic on a character that isn’t part of their main 10 characters so they had to nerf him into irrelevancy so they would never have to touch him again.

Life grip cancel will never work, even if they change the keybind

I don't think the main issue with life grip cancel is that people do it accidentally. The biggest issue by far is that the player you are gripping may not have as much knowledge of the fight as weaver does. For example weaver could be getting dove and naturally they grip a dps to them to save them, but the dps may not know this and cancel, letting weaver die and ultimately losing the fight. This change is a huge nerf that ultimately limits Lifeweaver's potential.

🪷People hating on lifeweaver when he's just:

I found this on X (Twitter); Lifeweaver looks so beautiful in his deer version 🥹🫶🏻✨. And, I loved it, so decided to post it here and also include a screenshot of the original author :3♡

Tips for Lifeweaver?

I want to get better at him but I’m still so bad! Here’s my most recent match. I just don’t know what to do when a flanker comes!!!!

Just give Lifegrip a four second cooldown refund if Lifegrip is canceled

That’s all I’m asking for, not even trying to be greedy. Reward teamwork, give grace for accidents.

Well, I'm done for now.

I have played this game sooo much. Over 1200 hours total, most of which on LW since he came out.

This is unplayable for me right now. Until they fix this LW change, I'm done. Whoever though these Lifegrip changes would be good should be fired.

Edit: The firing is a joke. If everyone got fired every time they made a bad life choice at work... none of us would have jobs.

Dragging Genji players where they belong

Courtesy of the latest map and grip changes. I dragged Genji straight to hell and I can't help but laugh at how he hopelessly looks up to the sky lol

At least we all laughed about it and even got to take Moira with him
