I like the charge mechanic

I know this is a hot take but the charge mechanic is what sets the pace of his game and I think thats why I like him so much. You have to move look click and decide much faster than other supports. I know there is probably no way to make it work in modern OW but I will say if they don't add something to keep his gameplay tempo up I will miss it. Thoughts?

Help for a new lifeweaver player

Hi! I'm a juno main who's recently decided to try and learn lifeweaver as a 3rd character for my pool in comp. But I'm totally lost on how to play him, range, effectiveness, when to use abilities etc.

I had a LW dream

I stayed up until 5am last night, fully taking advantage of my days off and was killing it in Ranked as my boy LW. finally decided to call it quits around 5-6am and i wake up today around 1pm and slowly came to the realization I had a dream I was dating Lifeweaver 😭 my husband thought it was hilarious and I’m too ashamed to share with anyone else irl but I think it’s so funny too LOL

okay bye, I’ll go on about my day thinking about my sweet sweet OW boyfriend 🥰

Where’s our Dance emote devs?

I propose a lifeweaver revolution, he will have a dance emote within the next two season OR ELSE!

Catch me if you can!

People usually say that LW is just a healbot, but I love him to play like this...I felt like an escape artist lol.

Petal platform should have rose petals the curl upward so you can have real cover.

I hate getting lifted up to a great spot. Only to realize that what actually makes it a good spot, is the fact that I can see/shoot all of them... welp that means they can all shoot me too.

So as an Ashe Player. I dont really use the petal for agreasive plays. Its scary, im just going to explode and get head shot.

Please add cover to the petal, so it succeeds in one of its many uses.

Lifeweaver still has subpar damage and HP.

Most of you will disagree but Lifeweaver still has weak damage and too little HP for his size. Let's compare him to Kiriko. Her damage is way sharper and deadlier and her projectiles have a truck sized hitbox similar to Hanzos arrows. Her own hitbox on the other hand is mosquito sized and it's pretty much impossible to consistently hit her when she does her stupid strafe. Moreover, she deletes you with the same speed or faster than a super bloom Lifeweaver, which we have to wait for our major perk for. She also has two superior ways of getting out and not dying and a better ult.

Lifeweaver is still a pretty big hero even with the size reduction and HP loss, which I was totally against because it removed his niche of being the support tank and made him less unique.

I want them to bring Tankweaver back and give him super bloom in his base kit to bring his damage to the support standard.

Was this a bad life grip?

I was yelled at and called very heinous things for this, aita for this one? I think I did alright. I pulled the mei when i thought they were going to die because the soldier just ulted, but when i pulled them they YELLED at me and said they were going to kill them when i didnt know that the soldier was low.

Rework?

I need to know what Lifeweaver mains actually want a rework, because after the recent buffs this season, he's been so much better to play. And no shade, but a lot of the rework ideas I've seen pitched on this sub ruin everything I like about Weaver and sound like they come from people who don't actually like this character.

I love charging and releasing Blossoms, it feels super satisfying and I love that you can throw it over/under/around barriers like Sigma/Rammatra/Mauga's ult.

I love that Petal has so many uses and is one of the highest skill ceiling abilities in the game. Blocking Tracer/Freyja ults, locking out certain doors and staircases, the double/infinite petal locations, there is so much to this ability.

I love how much control Lifegrip gives me and how I can use it both defensively and offensively to reposition someone.

I love that Tree is something I can just throw down without constantly having to wait for something like a Zen ult. Whether it be to gain an advantage or to use as a wall, it charges fast enough that it's not something you need to constantly save for the right moment.

The only things I think Weaver needs is QoL to his weapon switch and MAYBE small adjustments to his existing kit. Superbloom to base and Thorns charging Blossoms on hit are some ideas I've seen floating around that I think are fine. One of my ideas is for Lifegrip to be "press to shield, hold to pull" so that repositioning an ally becomes optional but that's about it and isn't a massive change in how Weaver currently plays.

Personally, I don't think every hero has to be super strong and pro play viable (even though we've already seen him succeed on Circuit Royal) and it's fine for him to have weaknesses and counters. Cos otherwise you just end up with Kiriko and everyone hates that.

Does Lifeweaver not gasp for breath as often anymore?

I've mained him since release (I know), yet it only clocked to me the other day that I don't hear that comical *BWOOAHHHH* as often now when he's low on health.

I just remember it being incessant in his early days to the point of players making fun of it. Have they tuned it down, or am I just taking less damage?
