[LFP] [Offline] [One-Shot] [West London] Cairn TTRPG - The Singing Stones - 25 August & 1 September

Hi everyone! 🙂

I'll be running The Singing Stones, a beginner-friendly Cairn TTRPG one-shot for up to 5 players, in person, in Hounslow (West London). We currently have a couple of seats available for both dates.

Cairn is a d20, rules-light fantasy RPG about exploring a dark and mysterious Wood filled with strange folk, hidden treasure and things that probably shouldn't be disturbed. No previous Cairn experience is required. Characters, dice, pencils and everything else you need to play will be provided. 🙂

Please note that both sessions are the same standalone adventure, so you'd only need to sign up for whichever date fits your schedule best!

📅 Tuesday 25 August / Tuesday 1 September

🕡 Arrive: from around 6:45pm

🎲 Game starts: around 7:00pm

🏁 Finish: around 10:15pm

📍 Local pub in Hounslow (TW3)

The pub is around a 5–10 minute walk from Hounslow Central and Hounslow railway station, with buses nearby.

This is part of a new, beginner-friendly tabletop RPG group that started a few weeks ago (we've already had some cool Lasers & Feelings one-shots!), so if you can't make either of these sessions but are interested in future games like Alien or Call of Cthulhu, feel free to get in touch as well.

The club is completely free to join, and the games themselves are free to play - we just meet at the pub, where people can grab a drink or some food if they want. We're aiming to make it easy for people to come along, meet other local TTRPG players, and try different games without needing to commit to a long campaign. 🙂

Comment below or send me a DM if you'd like to sign up or find out more. Happy to answer any questions about Cairn, the adventure or the club!

D&D 5e 2014/2024 Offline in London, England

So I moved back to London a short time back and I haven’t yet found myself a solid party to adventure with! I’m a professional writer and I’ve got 12 years of playing and DMing experience and whilst most of this is 5e 2014, I can turn my hand to 2024 too.

I am hoping for this to become a regular game and a campaign that spans levels 1 to 20, as well as becoming the basis of a solid friendship group.

I like to be led by my players so such things as scheduling, edition, play style, and homebrew etc will all be decided by the party of players, not just me alone.

Here’s to hoping we can have a real adventure!

PLAYERS WANTED — DOLMENWOOD CAMPAIGN, SOUTH CROYDON

I'm putting together a small group for a regular (fortnightly), in-person Dolmenwood campaign at The Story Sanctuary in South Croydon.

Dolmenwood is a weird, folkloric fantasy RPG of ancient woods, strange fairies, forgotten ruins, dangerous creatures and slightly odd people. Think British folklore and dark fairy tales rather than traditional high fantasy.

We'll begin by playing through some of the excellent published Dolmenwood adventures, exploring the Wood and getting to know the characters and setting. From there, I'd love to let the campaign develop naturally around the stories, rivalries, mysteries and terrible decisions that emerge through play.

I'm looking for players who enjoy exploration, roleplaying, problem-solving and discovering a world together. You don't need to know Dolmenwood—or even be an experienced RPG player. Curiosity and a willingness to get involved are far more important.

WHAT: Dolmenwood campaign
WHERE: The Story Sanctuary, South Croydon
WHEN: Saturday afternoons or Sundays — schedule agreed by the group.
This is an in-person event• New and experienced players welcome
VENUE COST: £8–£10 per session, including unlimited tea & coffee.
The session fee goes to The Story Sanctuary to help cover the cost of opening and running the community space (and includes unlimited tea and coffee). My time as GM, including all campaign preparation is free.

WHY: RPG's are fun! Meet some new like-minded people! Plus The Story Sanctuary is a relaxed, neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ affirming community space (in the old Sanderstead Library building) that needs local support to keep it going.

For now, I'm simply looking to find the right group of people and work out a regular schedule that suits us.

If wandering around a strange old forest tinged with twisted fey magic sounds like your kind of thing, drop me a DM and say hello.

Best Jo

Looking for players ready to DRAW STEEL! (By MCDM) - offline - central or west London

EDIT: thnks for all the responses. Was a bit overwhelmed as there was way more interests than I expected, coming in way faster thank I expected. Will be trying to get back to everyone over this weekend.

Hello all. I'm Jack (25) and I'm looking for 3-5 people to join me for a partially homebrew, partially adapted, open-worldish campaign using the Draw Steel! system from MCDM.

You will begin as low level members of a mercenary company on the day of its fall. A result of meddling with the wrong people. We'll play through the events that follow, as your characters flee the destruction of the city that harboured you (this would be a couple of sessions). After this, assuming we fit well as a group, we'll transitions to the more open world adventure

Location/ time/ day yet to be confirmed (based on the availability of those who respond), but I am leaning towards Tuesday/ Friday in central London (Arcadia games, a DND club near Temple station with a bunch of rooms for rent) from around 18:30.

I'm looking forward to hearing from people. Any experience level more than welcome (I myself am a newbie with this system).

About me

I've been playing tabletop RPGs for the last 10ish years. Mostly as a player, with a year GMing a pathfinder 2e campaign.

I think I've kind of burnt out on being a player in games and, during that brief stint, Ive found that I enjoy running a game more than playing in one.

GM style wise (if there even is such a thing), I'm drawn to running more open world style games, where I present a series of potential plot threads to my players and it's up to them which ones they follow or ignore with the world responding accordingly. In this, I like to include a good mix of role-play and combat as well as the more classic dungeon crawls/ exploration.

Looking for DM's for organised play events in Enfield, North London

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking to connect with enthusiastic Dungeon Masters in or around Enfield / North London who might be interested in helping run some organised D&D events.

The idea is to build a welcoming local space for regular games, including:

  • Weekly one-shot adventures
  • Learn to Play sessions for complete beginners
  • Short mission-style games
  • Special encounter events

I’m looking for DMs who enjoy running games for different types of players, especially people who are friendly, reliable, and comfortable helping newer players feel welcome at the table.

You don’t need to be a professional DM. The main thing is that you enjoy running D&D, can keep a session moving, and want to be part of building a positive local tabletop community.

If this sounds interesting, please send me a message and I’ll share more details.

Thanks!

Anyone know of any D&D groups in east London that I could join?

Much appreciated ❤️ I’ve been looking for a while and don’t mind travelling to central but it’d be cool to be closer
