Hi, I’m considering a Mazda 6e and would like to know how much AC, heating, heated seats, etc. affect battery consumption and real-world range.
What kind of difference do you see in kWh/100 km and range, especially between summer and winter?
Would be great to hear some real-world experiences.

Got my 6e on order and getting set for my first EV. I want to keep it nice, especially with two small kids, and so wanted to get some covers for the rear seats. Does anyone have measurements for the seats, or even recommendations for covers?

Hi everyone, I recently had my windshield replaced for the Mazde 6e, but now I feel like the HUD is somewhat harder to focus on and less clear. I went to the dealer for this. They put a new car up beside it, but it looked exactly the same. My car was one of the first sold in Europe.
Is it possible Mazda changed the windows during the production run? Maybe to a somewhat cheaper and worse version?
As title says. Anyone else experiencing their 6e drifting to the right on roads? I cant quite seem to make the car go 100% straight without the steering wheel slightly turned left... and even then its almost impossible to make it stay straight. It seems to change in intensity based on the road. I constantly have to correct it. Mainly to the left. I live in Denmark and I know road crown can have an effect, paired with the stiff suspension of the 6e and all season michellin tires it probably doesn't help much, but still... anyone else have this experience?
Took it to Mazda mechanic who says it drives fine and doesn't drift, but I'm feeling something is off. Could just be the way the car drives of course, which is why im seeking input from other 6e owners.
I have the NCM battery and today after a long trip I have noticed the battery health indicactor has dropped to 99%.
I have driven 21k km. Maths are not terrible, if it drops to 90% after 200k I would be OK with it, but I would love to hear other NCM owners experience with battery degradation.
In the UK should the traffic feature of navigation work without WiFi? I was under the impression it should but not sure before I go back to the dealership.

When using cruise control with lane assist the car tends to stick to the line on the right side of the road. I'm on highways a lot on the left lane and this is a game breaker for me. I can't use it because it sticks so close to the right line that it feels unsafe, why doesn't it just drive in the centre of the lane??
Is there something that can be done?

For those of you who already received your Mazda6e:
● Did you get a portable charger / granny charger for a regular household socket?
● Or did you only get a Type 2 charging cable?
● Was this included as standard equipment, or did you have to buy it separately?
● Please also mention your country/market, because I assume this may differ between countries.

Apparently this has been a Mazda thing for years and across multiple models:
When playing MP3s from USB, the infotainment system sorts tracks alphabetically by the ID3 title instead of using the actual track order.
Which is... an interesting design decision.
So even an album with perfectly correct metadata and filenames like:
01 - In the Air Tonight.mp3TRACK=1/12TITLE=In the Air Tonight
will still be played according to the alphabetical order of the title.
The track number in the ID3 metadata is ignored. The track number in the filename is ignored as well.
I recently ran into this with the Mazda 6e, googled it and found people complaining about basically the same problem for years (not only Mazda).
So I got annoyed enough by it that I used Codex to build a small Linux command line tool:

mp3trackprefix recursively scans your music folders and prefixes the ID3 TITLE with the existing track number:
In the Air Tonight → 01 In the Air Tonight
The actual TRACK tag stays untouched. Filenames, artist, album, disc number, cover art and all other metadata are left alone.
I deliberately made it fairly paranoid before it touches anything. Each folder is treated as an album and the complete folder is validated first. If track numbers are missing, duplicated or conflicting between tags and filenames, the whole folder is skipped instead of trying to be clever and potentially messing up the files.
There's also:
mp3trackprefix --dry-run /path/to/music
which shows exactly what it would change without writing anything.
It uses ffmpeg/ffprobe and remuxes the MP3 without re-encoding the audio.
I made this specifically because of the Mazda 6e, but since this apparently affects a lot of different models and brands, maybe it's useful for someone else as well.
As always: use it at your own risk. It modifies your MP3 files, so keep a backup. I take no responsibility if it eats your music collection, kills your USB stick or somehow sets your Mazda on fire. You know the drill
I’ve noticed one interesting thing - maybe a locked feature of the ambient lights.
My current setting is “dynamic” (dimmed when driving) and the ambient lights set to light purple. One evening, when I stopped at a petrol station to buy water, car on standby (just parked), semi truck pulled in the petrol station, triggering the vehicle in blind spot warning indicator in driver’s mirror and the ambient light bar on driver’s side turned orange at the same time. This is something I saw in Teslas and maybe other cars, but I was not aware Mazda 6e can do it to (even though we all know it can do more than what we are actually allowed to have in EU). I would be really happy to have this feature working all the time, as it’s not the case when driving. The icon in the mirror, HUD and dashboard is okay but not as good compared to Mazda3 for example. Did you notice this too, is it working for you all the time?
I forgot my phone today and went to try the navigation on the 6e. I realised that there was no internet and that the navigation wouldn't load because it needed me to login and accept terms and conditions.
Reading online, it looks like there should've been an embedded SIM to provide internet access and that it might not have been activated by the dealer.
Am I right to think that this is the case and should go back to the dealer so they can activate it?
