Has anyone's celebrity voices reappeared or are we all still living with three to choose from?

Judi Dench, John Cena et Al disappeared a few weeks ago then returned only to disappear again. Are they gone for good or will they come back? I do hope they're not being moved behind a paywall as part of the Meta subscription plans

I have my meta fury about a month ago and i love the color, the look, quality of the pictures and videos.

However, 10 minutes later than I start using them, my nose starts to bother and when I remove them I already have marks, I have tried to adjust them but I still have discomfort.

Any thoughts?

The backlash is too strong and it looks like certain countries are going to ban them.

I had a pair of glasses that were still under warranty break almost two months ago now, completely unusable now. I contacted support the same day it happened and was told they would get replaced, I just had to pay the $50 fee. Ever since, I've been waiting to hear that they're ready for me, to ask for payment information, anything that tells me I'm close to getting my new glasses. Nothing but useless "we take this matter very seriously and are working hard to resolve the issue" type emails since then.

Yeah? Well, I'm not really taking it seriously anymore. Here's the solution, I give you $50, you give me new glasses. There, problem solved, took me 5 seconds to figure out what's taking them months.

Yeah, I'm obviously frustrated. Is this normal? Should I be doing something to move this ridiculous wait along?

I've had my glasses for a while but they've been sitting at the corner of my desk collecting dust. So, I fixed it by building an app that automagically tracks your calories & water intake, without a single input from you. All you have to do is wear the glasses and every time you eat, it automatically logs your calories. DM if you want to try out the app

I currently have Gen 1 wayfarer. I really like this glasses, but the only problem is that the part near the nose piece is broken less than a year and the computer functioning. Everything is also broken so I’m not sure what to get right now. I have a rokid eyeglasses. I love those glasses, but don’t that is that it doesn’t fit my face like the rayban. So what do you think is better the Oakley or rayban gen 3? Which one has the loud sound on the music I can hear a lot better.

I am a lash tech where I have to use both hands constantly. Sometimes, I put my tools down to send or receive a text that is important. I only do this with my friend clients bc I also don’t mind reading their watch or phone for them. Anyway, I like to take before and after photos of my work as well. Would this be a good reason to purchase these glasses? I keep hearing people say that these glasses are for creeps only lol. Are these glasses becoming more normal to wear without being judged? I would love to be able to receive a phone call and not have to put my tools down. I would use these glasses for trips and capture special moments without looking like a creep 🤣😭😭 REALLY DIGGING the new Capri glasses.

I am 62 so not using these for content creation. But I truly enjoy them.

I use them on the golf course with the Arccos app. Works really well.

But I found the best use was during a two week trip in Italy. They were invaluable. Whether we had a guide or not, I had one in my ear the entire time! Took the hands free queries to the next level

"Whats this building and give me the history"

"What am I looking at and what's the significance "

"Read this plaque in English" (Often Italian or Latin)

"Who created this painting"

"Read this placcard in English" Then I could proceed to walk around as Meta read me the info, instead of standing at the entrance trying to read it all first then walk thru.

"Give me directions to..."

"Text wife..where are you"....those cathedrals are massive 😀 (Got her a pair before we left)

I took significantly more photos and videos than I would have by pulling out my phone (which I find cumbersome) all with simple voice commands or a tap. The picture quality is very good. I did crop or adjust some during the trip. There is a few minute lag for the photos to hit your phone

Also used the live translation.

I would never travel to another country without them.

Personally think Meta is missing a marketing opportunity to an older crowd.

Thinking of getting the Meta Adventurer but I’m stuck between the transition and normal colored lenses.

For anyone who’s used the transitions. How dark do they actually get when fully transitioned? I prefer darker lenses, but I love the idea of them clearing indoors.

Do they get dark enough outdoors, or are they noticeably lighter?

Yesterday I was at a mall trying to compare products at a stand using my Meta glasses, and the whole interaction was frustrating.

I had to say “Hey Meta,” ask it to look at what was in front of me, wait for its answer, and then say “Hey Meta” again just to ask a follow-up question. Repeating the wake word every time you want to continue the same conversation gets tedious fast, especially in public.

By comparison, I started a call with Dots in Codex from my phone, and everything felt much more fluid. I could just talk, ask follow-up questions, and keep the conversation going naturally. The downside is that it can’t directly access the camera on the Meta glasses. But that conversational continuity is exactly what I wish Meta AI offered.

I think Meta has an option to keep the conversation going for a few minutes or leave the mic active, but the battery drain makes it hard to justify—it feels like the battery is gone in about 20 minutes. My call with Dots didn’t drain it nearly as much.

The glasses are such a good format for an assistant, but constantly having to reactivate it makes the experience feel awkward.

Am I missing a setting or a better way to use them? Are there any options that make conversations more fluid? Also, why haven’t they integrated Muse into the glasses?

How are you all using Meta AI day to day? Is it actually useful for back-and-forth conversations, or do you mostly stick to quick, one-off questions?

A few thoughts…

I am torn between Clubmaster and Burbank. I wear Clubmaster Classics today, and they feel ever so slightly small for my face, so I will need to consider that. I am disappointed they do not offer the Shiny Black Clubmaster Classic with transition lenses. I enjoy transition lenses, but perhaps third-party options are better. Should I choose those and wait for third-party lenses? Are they identical to the current Clubmaster? The Burbank provides clear to Amethyst, which looked impressive.

• Is recording available on day one or “coming later”?  
• Any insight on Muse’s release?

 

Finally, I also have Gen 2. I reviewed it and watched some event clips. Is there an ETA for Muse on Gen 2, or will it require Gen 3?

Hey guys I'm stuck in a rut. I'm having issues with my Blayzer Gen 2s and I don't know who to reach out to. My wife and I bought 2 pairs of the Blayzers with prescription lenses and spent nearly $1800 on the glasses and extended warranties etc..

America's Best didn't tell me they supposedly don't warranty the frames. I found out when I called their customer support line, so they told me to contact Luxxotica. Well I call Luxxotica and their automated phone system sent me a text of how to submit a claim with a link. Well, going through the steps in it, it tells me I need to contact the retailer I got them from.

Well what is it?! 😩 I'm getting the run around and it's really starting to bother me.

I'm confused on how the Meta gallery works.

Say all photos are imported to my phone, but I want to free up storage on my meta glasses ..it says if I delete photos on the app, they'll be deleted on my phone.

How can I delete photos on the glasses after importing them to free up space??

Hey, just wondering if there’s any sort of way I can make the glassses have some sort of permanent tint, maybe some stickers or something that goes over the lenses? I just got the gen 3’s and I just wish there was a way I could have them as actual sunglasses all the time
