just watched the movie for the second time and noticed she told spidey she switched majors from bio something to aerospace and made me wonder if that plays into the secret wars end credit scene. thoughts?

What if Disney and their legendary Animation team did a Spider-man story with Peter and MJ?

Just for a moment, let us forget the Sony control over Spider-man film animation and the Marvel Animation department for a minute. For a moment. let us not mention that Princess Spider world that we once saw... it is a simple question what if Marvel allowed Disney and their iconic animation department to do a Spider-man story with Peter and MJ and their children?

What if the story of Spider-man was told with Disney iconic 2-d animation style in full?

Would anyone be willing to see something like this happen?

Previews for ASM 1000, all featuring Peter and Mj front and centre

Marvel using Pete and Mj to promote issue 1000 is typical really but it’s great to see them still front and centre

Art on all look top but the first one art looks amazing, similar to larraz style who is a top artist

Not looking forward to the main book but can’t wait for these side stories from top writers and artists

Hot Take- Clone Saga was a worse Retcon than OMD

Alright, I can feel the downvotes. HEAR ME OUT- Both are NOT Great. Just the general consensus. That said, I’ll argue the Clone Saga was a little worse. How so?

  • It undermined the WHOLE POINT of Spidey- a real guy as a superhero. Peter goes through YEARS of development and change, like a real person and, when the company gets worried about youthful relatability, suddenly “oh, just kidding- this hip, single, edgier guy was the REAL Guy all along” until that did worse and they had to backtrack “just kidding again. Nah- Pete was real the WHOLE time. Seriously”.

-the comics went MUCH MORE Downhill quality wise. Everyone is ready to (somewhat rightfully) tear down Wells’s Run but I can’t get through half of the Clone Saga stuff. It’s the epitome of nineties cliches. Some were really good but a lot just felt…empty, honestly.

  • Marvel themselves were sick of it (see second picture)

-At least OMD actually accomplished its task of simplifying things. Did it do it well? No, but I’ll argue BND’s era of Spidey comics were better than during the nineties.

-I’ll give the Clone Saga Ben and Kaine but They’re kinda just squandered these days and, while I’m not their biggest fan, they deserve better

In conclusion, while I feel this’ll DEFINITELY be an unpopular take, I stand by it. Neither story is great but, life or death, I’ll take OMD. It ain’t great but it beats the Clone Saga, least imo. Alright, bring on the hate train😅

What do you think Peter and MJ’s beach day would like?

My take is:

• Peter and MJ go there for some couple time

• Peter wants to go to the arcade but MJ Wants him to stay and put sunscreen on her

• Peter is paranoid that Sandman of Hydro Man will attack and MJ thinks it’s cute and tries to call him down

• MJ reads her book and sunbathes while Peter gets her a drink, ice cream and rubs her feet

• some guys leer at MJ and Peter glares at them to scare them off

• MJ goes swimming and Peter tires to sneak off to the arcade but MJ has him guard their stuff

• MJ goes back to sunbathing and a crab punches her toe

• Peter pulls the crab off and throws it away and asks MJ if she’s ok. She’s a bit teary and says no so Peter gives her a hug

• Peter gets them both ice cream and they cuddle

• it gets dark and they prepare to go but MJ says they can go to the arcade now and they play Street Fighter together and Peter kicks MJ’s butt much to her chagrin
