Took me 23.5h to lord her (took me long enough)

It's finally over. my favorite character in all of marvel, and by far my favorite in rivals. so happy to finally have gotten her finished! now do i get legendary cyclops? 🤭

I was watching a video about the avengers' mode and found out that LoKi controlled minds, I was a little shocked and disappointed because they managed to do telepathy and it wasn't for Jean...after that I kept thinking that they would be using Loki as a guinea pig to then implant telepathy in Jean, and I'm deluding myself with this idea until now

In season 8.5, there are many characters in the “hitscan” role that I would personally put above Phoenix. Now, we all here don’t give a shit about who’s better and we play our goat anyways, but it’s undeniable that her range/sustain nerf weakened her in comparison to her mid/short range gun hero counterparts (Star, Psy, Bucky, Elsa, Scott).

Despite this, people in as far up as Celestial 1 and Eternity insist that Phoenix needs to stay a perma ban and let Elsa Bloodstone and Starlord through the ban phase, which is just insane to me.

Now considering the reasons why this is happening is an interesting study in group dynamics and how public chatter and echo chambers influences perception and opinions of certain characters. Parroting high level players, only looking at tierlists from streamers, engaging in ragebait posts are just a few reasons why this happens, but another ive noticed also has to do with short seasons.

Even at the highest level, it takes about two weeks for pro teams to figure out what the meta is for that patch. And the general playerbase is even further behind them. So in terms of balance, the populous is still thinking about Phoenix like she was in s7.5 and s8 with long range poke and high sustain. This is just not the case anymore, as we all know.

What takes on jean have yall seen recently that had you scratching your head? How has your experience been playing her this patch?

I wish the hair of the main skin was bigger and had some cool movements and didn't have so many aspects of melted stone and broken glass

we know marvel rivals like to have good brand synergy with their mainline IP releases (F4 first steps skin and the amount of mcu skins in the game for Tony and spider man) but if sadie sinks character is in fact Jean grey, will we still get a skin for her?

is netease even allowed to get insider info on if Sadie Sink is Jean Grey or not, and would they have to wait quite a bit of time before releasing the skin as to not avoid spoilers that she is jean grey?

I just left a discussion about who was currently stronger in the game and realized that the people who said Jean was better than Scott didn't know how their skills worked in practice. As some people said that Jean was stronger because of the self-heal and the trait that causes damage and escape, another person arrived and showed a video in a 1v1 between Jean and other characters, including Scott, who has 2 abilities that push enemies and cause slow and damage more instant shield and slow fall, against Jean's 5hp self-heal, and simply the people who said that Jean was stronger and had an advantage because of that deleted the comments or replied that they didn't know that Jean's self-heal was like that... people just They reproduce the things that streamers say without knowing how they really work, they spread as absolute truth

The hair is amazing, I need to save up free units for a couple seasons to hopefully get it. So much better than the Dark Phoenix BP skin, I think because of the hair.
