Found a 2016 macan s with 56k miles, car fax looks pretty clean with one owner no accidents. Dealership wants 23k for it. Just wanna know if it’d be good investment. Can send pics and car fax
Looking to buy my first Porsche and need help. This would be my first high line car and I was looking at a 21 Macan GTS with 37k miles. The carfax shows it was maintained very well. I have a supercharged mustang I was looking to sell because as much as I love it I’m a dad with 2 kids so it’s just not practical. I like the look of the Macan and from reviews I’ve seen the GTS is the one people like the most. How is the reliability on these and how bad is the maintenance costs? I make about $130k a year and I know maintenance isn’t cheap I just don’t want it to be a money pit. Anything I should look out for or things I should know? Thank you in advance!
Edit: This would be my daily driver, but I only drive about 7k miles a year.
Edit 2: Here’s the link for the carfax if there’s anything notable to point out

Extremely fortunate to be getting a Macan S as it is a car I love. I was wondering what were some subtle cosmetic upgrades I can do to it.
I don’t want to make the car look like ass, but I was wondering if there was any cosmetics that could slightly elevate it.
The car is in excellent condition as is, but just wondering
Is it 4 years or 40k mile service. My macan is 2022 with only 22k miles. Should I go ahead and do the 40k service or wait until I actually have 40k miles?
For context: I flashed an sd card and tried activating Carplay. I followed all the steps and connected my phone and saw the button which says connect device. I plugged my phone in and it charges but nothing happens. It still says connect device through usb cable. Note: my car doesnt have voice control either so is my only route the aftermarket option? Pls need some advice im a new porsche owner.
Hey Macan gang. This car never ceases to amaze me. My GT4 RS was getting a new suspension and I didn’t wanna miss out on a prepaid AutoX. So….. I brought my Macan GTS. I kid you not, I had some of the fastest times out there that day and was consistently faster than most of the true sports sedans.
The biggest annoyance is the Macan is obviously heavy and with the warm weather, I was chasing tire pressures the whole day. With that’s it, it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had driving. This thing is just such a hoot.
Here is a vid of one of my runs. It wasn’t a clean run and I missed a gate and hit a cone, but it gives you an idea of what this thing is capable of.
And for people deciding on which trim to get. This shows how truly capable and different the GTS is. With the air, suspension and torque factoring, there is no SUV out there that is even close to this. Well. At least in this price range. I’m sure an Urus or DBX would have a thing or two to say.

Macan 2.0l question here, haters can move on!
My 2021 car (UK, RHD) has a noticeable induction noise on medium to hard acceleration and a very noticeable whoosh when coming completely off the throttle while under decent boost that I would associate with a turbo wastegate.
When I was in a loan car, also base Macan, I couldn’t notice the same noises. Obviously the loan car is low miles and mine is 28k miles and is 5 years older but I thought this was odd. Dealership wasn’t giving any opinion.
So, anyone else in a 2.0l car, 2021 facelift, notice a wastegate whoosh in their car? Normal, or something going to let go soon?
Thanks!
Looked at a Macan S this morning. It’s not super specced, no 14/18 way seats, no sunroof, no lane assist etc.
My question is what would you say, from your everyday usage - not necessarily for better resale - are must have or desirable features?
Recently bought a 2026 base model (in US) and I can't lower the windows/roof with the remote. There's no option to set this in the Comfort Access menu either. Does the base not come with this feature?
Hi all
We are currently looking at a 2025 Macan S (used) and a new 2025 Audi SQ5. Both are close in our minds, except for one thing…
We tried the voice command in the S for Porsche navigation and it was terrible. It misheard both of us despite asking for the same location about 12-15 times. And it couldn’t find the car dealership we were at even though it has been there for 25 years.
The SQ got it right every time. For reference, our 2024 Q5 also makes mistakes with the Audi nav about 50% of the time, so obviously Audi made voice recognition better in their new version.
We really love the S but the voice controls would be a deal breaker.
Is this a common issue or do I need to practice speaking more clearly 😳
Hi all,
I have a 2017 gts and love the car. Bright it in for oil leak and the dealer did the two bolts replacement fix. Well, reality hits as that didn’t work and we are now looking at the timing belt seal fix.
No matter how you spin it the cost will be substantial like 10-15k. My question is whether 1. Consequences of not fixing it and just driving with occasional refill of the oil and cardboard underneath or 2. Selling the car not sure what I can realistically get - it is well maintained with spare set of winter tires, ceramic coat, 90k etc vs 3. Sell a body part and pay for the fix.
Ideas? Thoughts?
I have a 2024 Macan GTS and with gas prices being so high and I just got solar panels/batteries so I’m considering making the move to an EV. Can anyone comment on the major differences between the two upper end Macan EV models? Is the Turbo overkill?
I traded my 2017 GTS in on a 2023 GTS. Think the GTS is awesome. Paid over $100K for my 2023. It is loaded in Black Metallic with Black interior with 18-way seats, and has 14K miles. Now that I am retired, I am wondering if it is time to sell the Macan. If I decide to sell, where is the best place to list for people that truly appreciate a vehicle like this?
I have a new 2026 Macan S on order. It is in Milestone 03, the manufacturing process is starting soon. Milestone 04, the manufacturing process has started, is scheduled for July 6. Does the VIN show up aligned with the milestone change or sooner?
I’ve got a 2023 Macan GTS which I recently took to the dealership the day before my trip to have a roof rack and box installed. However, the dealership somehow didn’t have the right roof rack as mine doesn’t have the built in rails, which they should know, but I digress. Long story short, I wasn’t able to get it done for my trip which made things difficult and now I’m just looking to do it myself for our next trip in August. Does anyone have suggestions for best racks and boxes, or trays etc. I’m flexible on options as it’s primarily to fit 2 infaltable paddle boards and some smaller stuff. TIA!

After a few months of dabbling - test driving Porsche, BMW, Audi, Genesis, losing one 2023 Macan S CPO deal and almost picking up Lucid Air 2026 delivery - found and picked up a 2023 Macan S today.
You guys are the best - a lot of perspectives, advice, nudge and all that an aspirant can ask for.
When the service advisor said boggled my mind. Advisor offered the 40k miles service inspection only for $3000. Just an inspection. Of course it was declined. Anyone else heard of this scam?
I own a 2017 Macan S and am looking to change the exhaust to make it throatier along with adding a tuning chip. Does anyone have reviews or recommendations for either tuning chips or exhausts for the Macan S. Please and Thank You!
Speccing up a Macan 4S and getting to the point where we're trimming fat to get the price to an acceptable point. Our first Porsche, we're not used to the dealers playing such hardball on discounts!
One item I've trimmed off is the matrix LED headlights, but the dealer is cautioning against it. I don't think it's a cost thing, they're arguing to lose other stuff but keep that if the price is the same. I've never had them before, we don't do a tonne of night driving and I've been using full and dipped beams by hand in my over 20 years of driving.
Also what kind of list price discount should I be aiming for?
