A Small Telegram Group No Selling. Just Sharing day to day LEARNING

After my last post quite a few people reached out and said:
“Why don’t you create a group? It would be great to keep the conversations going.”
So, I did.

It’s a small Telegram group where I’ll share things I genuinely find useful—notes, PDFs, articles, ideas, and random thoughts that make me think. Nothing fancy, just things worth learning from.

One request, though:
If someone shares something personally in the group, please don’t forward it or share it outside without my permission. Let’s keep it a space where people can speak openly.

Also, this isn’t a sales funnel. I’m not selling a course, promoting a product, or building a community for business.

I simply enjoy learning with people who are curious.
I’ve always believed in one thing:
Sharing is caring. Education should be free.

If that resonates with you, you’re welcome to join.

RBI Grade B 2027 My First Attempt Starts Today . Anyone Else Taking It Seriously?

Today (4th July), I officially started my RBI Grade B 2027 journey.

I’m an engineering graduate, currently working and this will be my first attempt as a General category candidate.

Why RBI?

A few weeks ago I read a book by Alpana Kilawala ma’am. After finishing it something clicked. The work, the responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to the country financial system genuinely inspired me. That’s when I decided that I wanted to give RBI Grade B my best shot.

I recently purchased the EduTap course. This isn’t a promotion I’m not affiliated with them in any way. I simply chose it because I felt the course is structured well and covers everything in one place. Yes sometimes it feels like they include more than what’s strictly required, but I don’t mind. I’d rather know a little extra than miss something important especially for Phase 2 and the interview.

One piece of advice I received from a few successful RBI Grade B officers really stayed with me.

Most aspirants focus only on clearing Phase 1 and Phase 2. But many underestimate the interview. The interview isn’t something you prepare for in a few weeks. It reflects how deeply you understand the Phase 2 subjects and whether you can think clearly and explain your ideas. That completely changed how I’m planning my preparation.

My goal is to finish the entire syllabus by December, followed by multiple rounds of revision, answer writing, mock tests, and interview preparation.
I’m treating this as if it’s my last attempt, even though it’s my first. I think that mindset brings the seriousness needed for such a competitive exam.

I’m also looking to connect with a few genuine and disciplined RBI Grade B 2027 aspirants. we can discuss concepts, stay accountable, share resources and push each other consistently.

If you’re seriously preparing for RBI Grade B 2027 and have a similar mindset, feel free to reach out ( DM ME ) . It would be great to build this journey together.
Let’s see where this journey takes us.🙌🙌🙌

SEBI GRADE A Guide

This post is for future SEBI Grade A aspirants.

I know most of you have questions regarding sources, mock tests, and preparation strategy, so I thought I'd share what worked for me.

A little about my background

- I had previously prepared for RBI, so around 70% of Finance & Management was already covered.

- Economics for SEBI is quite different, so I had only about 10% overlap there.

- I'm from a non-commerce background and had zero knowledge of the other subjects.

I started preparing on 20 November 2025, and Phase 1 was on 10 January 2026. I cleared the exam in my first attempt.

Sources I used

- EduTap Silver Course

- PM Mock Tests

What I think is required to clear this exam

  1. There is no perfect course.

No single coaching course will help you solve every Phase 2 question. Pick one course, trust it, and complete it thoroughly. Strong conceptual understanding is much more important than collecting multiple resources.

  1. Don't ignore SEBI circulars.

Questions can directly or indirectly come from them, so make them a part of your preparation.

  1. Mock tests are where real learning happens.

Once you finish the syllabus, start giving mocks. After every mock, note down every new concept or fact you learn in a crisp notebook. SEBI has a very wide syllabus, and questions can come from almost anywhere.

  1. Use PYQs smartly.

Whenever you come across a new topic in a previous year question, don't just read that answer. Explore the surrounding topics as well. For example, if a question asks about one subtype of a concept, spend a few minutes reading the other subtypes too.

  1. Watch revision marathons near the exam.

Once your syllabus is complete, marathon sessions help revise quickly, improve recall, and expand your coverage.

  1. Don't try to mug up everything at the last moment.

You'll only exhaust yourself. Focus on revision and consistency instead.

Finally, two lines that helped me stay balanced during preparation:

Whenever you feel "Nahi hoga yaar", remember:

SEBI bahut kuch hai, par sab kuch nahi hai

Whenever you feel "Selection ho bhi gaya toh kya hi ho jayega?", remember:

SEBI sab kuch nahi hai, par bahut kuch hai.

All the best to everyone preparing. Hope this helps, and feel free to ask questions in the comments. I'll answer whenever I can.

Need guidance for RBI Grade B 2027 preparation (Working professional)

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to prepare for RBI Grade B 2027. I'm a working professional, so I can study only after office hours and on weekends. I want to prepare seriously but I'm a bit confused about where to start.

I need some genuine guidance from those who have cleared the exam or are preparing for it.

Could you please help me with the following?

Which is the best online course for RBI Grade B (Phase 1 + Phase 2)?

Which coaching would you recommend: EduTap, Anuj Jindal, Oliveboard, Adda247, or any other?

Which books should I follow for each subject (Reasoning, Quant, English, ESI, FM, and Current Affairs)?

Since I'm working full-time, what strategy worked for you? Is it possible to crack RBI Grade B while doing a job?

Please share your honest experience, including what worked and what you would avoid. Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Need career advice: Cancelled my UPSC plan and decided to prepare for RBI Grade B.

I'm 21F (turning 22 this August) and recently graduated with a B.Tech in CSE (AI & ML).

For years, my plan was to prepare for UPSC. I had even convinced my parents that I'd take a gap year after graduation solely for UPSC preparation. They've always supported that dream because it's what I wanted for a long time.

However, after seeing this year's UPSC paper and the increasing unpredictability and complexity of the exam, I took a step back and seriously reconsidered my career options. After a lot of research, RBI Grade B seems like a much better fit for me in terms of the work profile, work-life balance, and my interests.

The problem is that my parents are extremely disappointed. Since I had been talking about UPSC for years, they find it hard to accept this sudden change and are still trying to convince me to prepare for UPSC instead.

I'm determined to prepare for RBI Grade B, but another concern is the uncertainty around the exam itself. The notification isn't regular, vacancies are limited, and there's always the fear that the recruitment may get delayed or not happen in a particular year.

So I started looking at backup options like SEBI Grade A, NABARD Grade A, IFSCA Grade A, etc. But then I realized that even these recruitments are irregular.

The only relatively stable backups I can think of are SBI PO and IBPS PO. My thought process is that if I don't get RBI immediately but manage to get into SBI/IBPS, I can continue preparing for RBI Grade B while working.

Another reason I'm overthinking this is that I don't really have the luxury of spending years on trial and error. My parents have made it clear that they expect me to be financially settled by the time I'm around 25–26. Otherwise, they'll start pushing seriously for marriage. I don't know how serious they are about that, but it's something that's constantly at the back of my mind. Because of that, I feel like I have to make the right career decision now instead of taking unnecessary risks.

I'm feeling quite confused about whether this is the right approach.

If you were in my position, what would you do?

  • Is RBI Grade B worth taking a gap year for?
  • Are SBI PO/IBPS PO good backup options if RBI is the end goal?
  • Are there any other career paths or exams I should seriously consider?
  • If you've switched from UPSC to regulatory body exams (or vice versa), how did you make that decision?

I'd really appreciate advice from people who have gone through a similar situation or are preparing for these exams. I'm looking for practical suggestions rather than reassurance. Thanks in advance!

I'm MBA final yr student. Should I prepare for RBI grade b exam ?

Hii. I'm a final year student.

I'm confused about whether I should prepare for RBI grade b or not.

Previously I've given CMAT as an entrance and I got 90 percentile...so my basics for phase 1 is clear...

What should I do now?

My father is labour and earning 20k per month.. so every time he suggests me to get a govt. Job ...

I'm confused between private sector and govt. Sector...

I'm doing MBA from tier 2 clg so expacted package would be 6 lpa.

Help me to solve some queries about RBI grade B

I am 25 right now working in IT company with around 10lakh but AI is growing rapidly which might cause difficulties in future in private jobs.. SO i decided to start preparing for government exams like SBI PO, RBI grade B or SSC CGL. i really need your guys help to figure out.
should i only focus on SBI PO or RBI grade B or SSC CGL. i heard that SBI PO is way easier than RBI grade B and SSC CGL. so should i prepare for RBI grade B which will definitely help me in clearing SBI PO too or should i prepare for SSC CGL.
let me tell you one thing, i am bad with GK so i thought RBI grade B might be better option because DEPR (Department of Economic Policy and Research) and DSIM(Department of Statistics and Information Management) posts don't have GK or general awareness. And also tell me how much time it required to prepare economic and finance syallabus as its not my background. I am just confused so anyone who is free, please help me to sort out my thoughts.
