[Theory🚨] Blackbeard's secret plan has been in front of us for months now

Blackbeard's ship is called The Saber of Xebec.

If you're caught up to the manga then you'll know Rocks is Teach's dad, and that he wields a badass saber blade. We dont know if its a supreme blade or anything but we can assume it's probably as special as shanks or Roger's blades.

Crucially, we *do* know that this large saber has a name: *Eclipse*. If you dont remember that I dont blame you SINCE IT WAS REVEALED IN AN SBS (volume 114).

THIS is what Blackbeard's waiting for. An eclipse. Why? Because when the moon covers the sky and blots out the sun, then ALL of the earth is temporarily covered in darkness. And in the bleakness of this abyss blackbeard will become GOD.

Now idk what he plans to do during that eclipse. But if he could steal whitebeards DF under a blanket I'm terrified of the implications.

Now this is me stretching but I also think this is what Roger meant when he said he was too early. He was too sick to live long enough to see the next cycle.

Also, something tells me an eclipse used to be *permanent* in the sky. Like that's how you got sun world / surface world (the moon) / dark and cold underworld of slaves (the earth). When people say the lunarians ruled "above" the red line, they literally ruled from the moon above like the death star. Imu ruled the moon and Davy Jones ruled the earth. Rocks wanted to regain his title as King of The (Under)World and send Imu back to his fairy vearth. That's why his attack is called pandemonium of the *abyss*. The sun/Nika is an enemy of both Imu and Jonesian dynasties.

He disrespect imu in this scene

Attacking imu and then turn his back on him to scold Luffy is pure disrespect.

IMU vs Gaban breakdown

I think people missed a lot of major things in the fight.

  1. Gaban starts things off attacking Imu and acting having him on the defensive for a little. Thought you can argue Imu was just trying to talk to Gaban due to his earlier comments.

  2. When Gaban mentions Joyboy IMU pulls out bone breaker and immediately goes on the offensive. At this point he actually cuts Gaban almost immediately. You can see the effect Gaban wincing and where the damage was done on gabans rights shoulder

  3. Imu turns his attention to Luffy and tries to take him out using stigma but Gaban gets ready to attack Imu. Imu still tries to go through with the attack on Luffy but gets cut short mid attack name because he needed to put omen up in order to block divine gate.

  4. We see that attack still did damage through omen because Imu is seen bleeding directly after from the head as well as the mouth.

  5. At the same time when Gaban lets off yachi takeru imu uses the bone breaker sword to slice off Gabans arm. A lot of people missed this part. We see the omen from bone breaker on gabans left arm as well as the slicing sound.

  6. Imu still manages to block yachi takeru even though he gets sent down to the underwire by the ground he’s standing on being removed from under him.

  7. I think Gaban actually lands still in the sun world. We see he lands on a piece of tree. It’s possible it’s a chunk that he cut down but Luffy can still see him clearly and presumably can’t see Imu. Ussop also says the person who did the attack ( given context I’m assuming he’s talking about Gaban and not Imu) is someone else “up” there which makes me feel like it’s not in the underworld.

What if Imu ends up taking over Blackbeard's body?

There is no way Blackbeard is strong enough to face Imu head-on but it would be a wild twist if his endless greed ends up walking him straight into a massive trap..

Imu definitely knows Teach is the biological son of Rocks D. Xebec. Carrying that hated "D" initial means Imu will want to eliminate him immediately, which will probably lead to a brutal fight where Teach gets completely outclassed by Imu's insane power. But Imu also knows how corrupt Teach is and how badly he wants to rule the world. What if Imu freezes the fight and offers him something he can't resist, like a seat on the empty throne..? Teach is so arrogant and blinded by ambition that he’d take the deal on the spot, thinking he somehow won.

But that power will come with a price., letting Imu completely corrupt his weird multi-fruit body and take control from the inside. It would combine the two biggest villains into one final boss for Luffy and it makes perfect sense out of what Whitebeard said at Marineford; that Teach isn't the guy Roger was waiting for. Instead of becoming the pirate king, his greed just causes him to get played by a much bigger fish and completely lose his identity. Who knows what Oda will do but it feels like a wild way for things to collide.

What does Gyaban mean by this?

Very interesting choice of words 🤔. At 1st I thought he was referring to Imu being old, but then I started thinking...

Is he referring to Imu being a member of Joyboy's crew?

Am I just being a headcanon glazer?
