Revit Mep Exam

Hi everyone,

I recently made a career pivot into MEP consulting after spending about five years on the industrial combustion and sales side. I have my P.Eng in Ontario, but the HVAC design world is brand new to me.

My goal over the next six months is to get highly proficient in Revit MEP. I'm looking into taking a formal Revit MEP course at George Brown College to build a solid foundation, and eventually going for the Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) certification.

Do MEP firms actually value the formal course and the certification, or would my time be better spent doing self-study and learning through project work? Thanks in advance!

What are you guys using to clean up old pdf/tifs/jpg plans and scans?

Just like the title says, I work for an MEP firm that does wastewater management and we tend to have to deal with some real POS plans and drawings. Their workflow involves using them as backgrounds often. What are you guys using to clean them up and make them more legible/useable?

Raster Design tools in AutoCAD is helpful, but I'd love not to need to open AutoCAD to edit my backgrounds for Revit...

Welcome any suggestions!

Revit HVAC 2026

I need to learn HVAC in Revit, but all tutorials have a paywall and are from older versions. Can anyone recommend some good, free tutorials in Revit 2026? Thank you!

Can't rotate pipe or fittings how I used to.

I switched jobs and this must be a setting that I am missing that I just can't find. I have for years been able to rotate pipe, fittings, accessories, any piping system component freely by cutting sections and placing the center of rotation. Since I switched jobs and have a new computer, I cant do it how I used to. What am I missing here? It even happens with content that I built that I know worked previously.

Say I want to roll a 90 on a 45. I used to just cut a section and rotate it no problem, and then continue routing the pipe. Now I have to delete that fitting and re-model the pipe at the angle I want it. It makes complex pipe routing almost impossible.

I am at a loss, can anyone help me?
