Just recently moved to Rosemont. I wanted to try and make friends more local to the area. Would prefer to make friends closer to my age but hey if we vibe I don’t see why not. Also looking to build community with other LGBTQIA+ Latinos in the area.

A bit about me ima bit of an ATLA nerd. I love picking up too many crafty hobbies. I have a dog so maybe we can go on a dog walk (she’s not a fan of big dogs unfortunately). A bit of an artist but wouldnt call myself a great artist lol. I love working on diy projects or building things. Not a gamer but I do like playing among us, cod on mobile, and Mario games (also not the best but I try- if you also enjoy playing Mario 64 you’re great c:). Love nature so appreciate being able to get outside. I am trying to get fit so appreciate a buddy to keep each other accountable.

I had been doing my research on the area to see events or possible community things to do in the area to make friends but it’s seems many go into other parts of Sac to attend events or make friends. Wondering if anyone would be interested in a possible lotería night/afternoon at local park possibly? Or if anyone knows of any spaces that may let us host anything like that please let me know.

Hey y’all! Being an introvert is great and all, but the lack of human interaction kind of gets depressing. I would say I’m an old soul, but I also love trying new activities. I love to read (just finished reading Zodiac Academy and it was fabulous 👌🏽) , I listen to all most music genres, I’m a big kid at heart (I love my Disney movies, musicals and Harry Potter!), I enjoy volunteer activities, I enjoy trying new recipes and being out in nature, I love animals, I like playing video games like the Sims, Skyrim and Assassin’s Creed (I love any game with a storyline; yes I know Sims doesn’t have one, but old habits die hard🤣); I like action movies or basically any movie with a badass, but I also love comedy and the ones based on true stories. But, on a personal level, I have terrible social anxiety and ADHD, so sorry for being all over the place 🤪

Hi all, I'm 34, male. I moved to Sac about 13 months ago and I'm down to meet some new people as I settle in to life here. I work in the civil engineering world and work a pretty regular 9-5.

I live on the American River Bike Trail and would be up to meet for a bike ride. Doing 15mph on a solo ride for about 20 miles is pretty doable for me but happy to do longer or shorter.

I also like photography, and incorporate that into exploring, hiking, checking out new parks, nerding out about photography books/art or gear. I'm into birdwatching too, which goes well with the photography/hiking/exploring thing.

I'm also looking to get back into videogames and would be willing to pick something up or play with someone over Steam, I have a mildly capable PC and a mic and would be down to socialize that way. Aaaaand it's been about six years but I'd be down to do some DnD or roleplaying too.

Hey All, 40m no kids and I WFH, and at some point all my friends got married and had kids so now they dont have time to hang out unless its with other kid parents.

I’m a happily partnered 41-year-old gay Asian guy who operates right at the intersection of daily manual labor, geopolitical investing, and a slew of 'geeky old married dude' hobbies. Looking to build some reliable, platonic friendships with people in the area who share similar interests (and calendar).

The DIY: I'm building out a couple of acres out here in Elk Grove on the daily—tending to sheep and chickens, maintaining orchards, raising tropical aroids, and currently mortaring several tons of 8-inch cinderblocks for a root cellar foundation, followed by framing and electrical (I do it all myself). It’s boring work solo, so if anyone's interested I’m looking for a solid friend to hang out with while working on some of these once in a while. It's a fun way to stay active, learn some hands-on skills, and save money on a gym membership. I’m always down for a 1-for-1 labor trade if you want to jump in, but honestly, just hanging out and chatting while I work is cool if you want to learn something.

The Downtime: When the boots come off, my bandwidth shifts. I’m into keeping up with current events, macro investing, reading up on evolutionary neurobiology and human behavior (basically how to optimize the brain and hack stress/anxiety), gardening and plants, opening the Merlin Bird ID and just chill outside with a Rose, travel, food, dogs, anime, Netflix binging, and gaming (PC, Switch2, also contemplating about getting back into pen and paper but need a solid crew). We are a bit of homebodies, but on the weekends we do like to check out new restaurants, spend hours at garden stores and nurseries, wine tasting, and just being out in nature.

The Bottom Line: I’m looking for a warm, respectful, and low-drama connection built on mutual interests, support, and trust. Especially fellow DIYers/homesteaders/gardeners, we work hard, but I host well. Hanging out usually involves smoking artisanal pizzas from scratch, opening some decent Napa reds (or a magnesium/kava drink if you're on an alcohol cleanse), and decompressing by the pool or in the spa after wrecking our shoulders. So if you’re grounded, and looking to burn off the stress/boredom of the daily grind, build some tangible things and a real alliance, let’s connect and see if we click.
