Not even good looking either. You can clearly see the barrier at which it cuts off from the original & decays into random patterns, whereas the original has a structure.

Genuinely I can't possibly see myself finding a dead artist's unfinished piece, going "oh thats sad" then having a robot "finish" it for them, and at the end of the day think "yeah, I'm a good person". Unbelievable.

The "No U" thing again

I am very certain this specific invidiual is delusional and might not be in their right mind. I see that this person is not fan of artistic freedom.

Furthermore, it's not the people against AI who encourage other people to carry guns in case of AI bros, but the reverse is very much true.

They've also been inventing scenarios about "threatening violence" or people against AI beating up other people.

The two images are an example of this happening, however keep in mind they are older receipts. I've seen people defending AI say "Antis are violent" "Antis threaten violence", but I haven't seen any recent statements about carrying guns in case of "antis".

The "death threats" being talked about here are most likely just artists blowing off some steam and depicting AI bros of getting their teeth kicked in or whatever.

Man, these people must really hate punk culture then, because on top of punk culture being very DIY, it's also very anti-establishment.

As I've said time and again. These are the people who attend comedy shows and laugh it up when someone's getting roasted for their choice of clothes or choice of politics or whatever, but when it's their turn to get their share, they start saying how they're being bullied by the comedian.

Finally:

They take words said by people and then make the problem seem bigger than it actually is. No, I don't condone wishing anyone "die" or killing anyone, because they use AI. Nor do I condone that terrible "meme" with the text "We need to kill AI artist."

Reasoning behind resistance towards technological advancements

Foreword:

I've seen people say "well people who resisted this and that eventually lost", from printing press to electricity, I'm going to be explaining the why, because not a single person sharing these examples from the past have bothered to explain the reasonings behind the resistance. Just basically "haha people resisted this and lost this is what 'antis' are."

Throughout these examples you'll find that it's not necessarily just for cultural or religious reasons, but also genuine concerns of things like safety, loss of income and lack of standards.

The printing press:

This is an interesting one. I've done a little bit of reading about the printing press and the controversies behind it and the reasoning for why people were so resistant to it wasn't just because people who wrote things manually would be out of jobs.

Turns out that thanks to the speed written works could now be published, there were bound to be mistakes here and there. So if you bought a first edition of something made by a printing company, the chances were that it would have had errors.

The only way for that error to be rectified would be to buy the newer edition. Not only that, because copyright was not a thing, printing companies were also selling pirated works of other people and companies. There was nothing there to prevent them from just yoinking someone else's work and printing that out.

So, while it was revolutionary technology at the time, it was also being abused maliciously to make quick profits.

Electricity:

Why would anyone be resistant to something as marvelous as electricity? It powers everything from households to factories and makes the life of an average citizen easier.

Well, when electricity was invented, no safety standards whatsoever. Wire being exposed made electricity very dangerous.

There were a lot of deaths in New York and people were seriously concerned for their own safety. Electricity was much more dangerous back in the day, so it was completely understandable why some people were resistant to electricity.

Luddite movement:

a nickname for people who are against AI. The thing is, luddites being barbaric, machine destroying purists was pure propaganda, written by the rich after luddites were hanged.

Luddites tried to in fact negotiate with big corporations and were accepting of the machinery as long as it was not used to replace people completely. Many luddites knew how to operate the machinery, even.

However, corporations had other plans. Cram as many machines in the factories as they could and replace people with them.

Luddites, now angry that they were being replaced, started sabotaging the machinery as a way to protest, defending rights of workers.

You could say Luddites were the first people to unionize and started a movement towards workers rights.

So yeah. People living in these times had very valid concerns over these new things and so do people who are against AI.

In fact I'd say it's a compliment when people against AI are called luddites or are told that they are the people who were against printing press or electricity.

Because that means that people against AI are basically the same as those who advocated for some standards and rules.

The one thing I hate about AI bros is how they try to downplay your hobbies (be it drawing, conlanging, photography, etc.) as if they don't have anything going on in their lives

I swear these AI bros don't realize that their own "hobby" consists of typing a sentence or two into chatgpt and then claiming that they did something

But nonetheless, AI bros will just say "ah that's just fucking niche", "oh my ai can do better!!" Like no it can't😭

What the heck is this about?
Is this another thing on the whole there goes your talent thing?

Why animals?
I am genuinely confused, what are they depicting themselves taking parts off of animals, that most of them need those parts to survive.
Like a tiger needs their stripes to help hide them in their environment.
A pangolin needs their armour, cause it’s the main way they protect themselves from predators.

Honestly, if this is about that stupid meme, this person is taking it too far.
Animal cruelty real or fake isn’t cool.

What are your thoughts?

Edit: I forgot to mention that this were taken from multiple posts all by OOP, I just thought it be better to combine that into one post rather than multiple.

saw a post on r/antiai featuring this post on r/hatethissmug (some hate r genuine hate, some r straight up take so hot that r ragebait, some r unreasonable as hell, some r immature ass rants etc.), and I screenshotted the post just to post here bc i think it’s worth to be posted here.

btw, I also saw a btp ragebaiter in r/favoritecharacter, idc about the repost bot problem cuz it’s not the main point, but like posting break a pencil gif in a post about fav character that saves the environment and Epstein(in tiktok ragebaits, he’s depicted as a tuff savior) fav white haired character etc.
