What did you guys name your journal?

I decided to go for Alcan Alminac because I adore her and have become sort of a fae fanatic lately.

I liked seeing it actually change in the menu, and it was nice to see a decision that reminded me of the choices i love in warframe like the kuva, sirius or orion, and >!Natah/Lotus/Margulis!< even though this one didn’t hold as much weight.

I’m wondering which name you all chose and why?

Soulframe Needs More Features Like This

Spectral Wildlife for the Nightfold

One thing I absolutely love about Soulframe is how peaceful, spiritual, and personal the world feels.

And I honestly think the Nightfold could become even more magical with living spectral creatures that turn the space into a true emotional sanctuary.

Spectral Fish

Instead of normal aquariums, players could release ethereal fish directly into the reflective waters of the Nightfold itself.

The fish could:

glow softly beneath our feet like spirits under a mirror

swim together in coordinated schools

occasionally leap from the magical water and dive back down

react to music and instruments played by the Envoy

gather near Ancestors, decorations, or players resting nearby

make every Nightfold feel alive and deeply personal

But the most special part could be social interaction:

Gift Fish & Whispered Messages

Players could gift rare spectral fish to one another.

Each fish could carry:

a blessing

a comforting message

a memory

a cute note

words of encouragement

And from time to time…

the fish could softly whisper or display the message while swimming through the Nightfold

Examples:

“Found this little one during the rain and thought of you.”

“May your waters stay calm, Envoy.”

“I hope this fish keeps you company.”

Instead of feeling like collectibles, they would become:

friendship keepsakes

spiritual memories

tiny living gifts

emotional companions from other players

Soulframe vs Destiny - Player question

With the new that Destiny 2 is ending development, I wanted to ask the question about Soulframe.

I mainly want to play with my 3 player team, what is the coop experience like?
If there is anyone out there that also plays/played Destiny, do we have anything like destiny dungeons / lowman raids to look forward to with Soulframe?

Thanks!

Duelo Builds?

Hey all, I’m stress testing various Duelo builds for an upcoming series I’m planning for my channel.

I’m looking to feature a community build for the Duelo pact as part of it.

Anyone have a killer Duelo build they wanna share?

I would need a list of the following:
-virtue distribution
-gear
-runes and totems totems
-where you invest pact/weapon arts points
-what the playstyle is (for example melee attack with Gathannan vs all in on throwing it)

Any submissions are appreciated and I’ll be sure to credit you for the build if it ends up in the final video.

HellenTK on YouTube if you wanna research me before committing 🫡

Is it explained how the Ode wiped the memories of the people of Midrath?

I'm making a Dnd campaign where the party has to basically fight against the an Ode-adjacent threat, but I remember hearing the Ode wiping out all memories of the past, and can't remember where I heard that. Is it ever explained how they did that so quickly?

How is Soulframe NOT a Souls-like?

I have neither played nor truly felt the desire to play a "Souls-like" game. I have considered Elden Ring, but have been putting it off. What I have seen of it, and indeed other games like it, looks kinda like how Soulframe plays, which I have adored playing these past two weeks.

So what makes it not a Souls-like that I have not grasped? Is it not hard enough? SF was pretty hard when I ventured into the higher levels in my first week... Is it not gloomy enough? Is SF just too... Beautiful?

Please help me understand, thanks.

I think Ode'n Mines are a bit OP.

Absolutely not biased because I died to one(Lol), but I seriously think they shouldn't do 2k damage and should have a damage falloff and/or can be mitigated by Armour/Totems.

I understand their purpose as an environmental hazard, but I think it's a bad game design when the only real counter for it is to be more aware of our surroundings.

Performance issues after last hotfix

Hi there, am I the only one that suffered HEAVY performance issues after the most recent hotfix? (Between yesterday and today 21-05-2026)

By frames dropped from 144 to under 60.

Why is the loot pick up radius so insanely small?

I shouldn't have to walk over every single piece of loot in a looter game. That is incredibly poor design.

Another question post about armor (confusion on my part)

I tried to look it up, but the main results I found were outdated, or were other threads. This will be a long read, I appreciate you in advance, and i'll try to TL;DR it at the end :)

Here is what I am aware of:

Armor has attunement pips; this means that you get more of a specific armor type (physical, magical, or stagger) for each point of a virtue that it's attuned to. E.g., if one piece of armor has 2 pips of courage, and another has 2 pips of grace, then the courage armor will be higher if you have a high courage, and the grace armor will be higher if you have a high grace.

So far, this is simple to understand. Don't wear grace armor if your stats are full-courage, and vice-versa (and the same for spirit-attuned armor.)

Here's my problem: I cannot seem to find a stat allocation where the Pensive's Armor is not the best.

Originally, my stats were in the middle, relatively equal spread, because I change weapons a lot as I level them up and figured I didn't want to think too hard. pensive's makes sense here, because they are hybrid: All three armor types scale off of all three stats (2 pips spirit, 1 courage, 1 grace). Leans slightly more towards spirit scaling, but overall, very good.

I recently made several heavy courage weapons and I need to level them up, so I figured for once, I would specialize: I set my virtue prism to be heavy courage (28 courage, 8 spirit, 7 grace, not completely in the red corner, but mostly there.)

Pensives armor is still higher armor almost across the board than anything else.

27/27/24 for a total of 78 armor. (not amazing by late-gate standards i'm sure). My 'balanced' virtue stats gave me a total of 87, so the amount went down as expected, but not by a lot.

Now maybe I just don't have the right armor, but i figure if I can find an armor that scales off of courage by 2 or more pips, it should be better overall... but i'm struggling to find that.

Fire King's armor is 2 courage, 2 grace physical, only 1pt magical, and 1c 2b stability. When I equip it, I only go up by 2 points of physical armor, and I lost a LOT of magic.

I have Circade's armor , which doesn't give ANY magical protection at all, but it has 3 courage pips which translates into... 5 higher armor.

--

Here's my questions:

  1. How good is one "point" of armor? Is 5 points a significant increase? Because it doesn't seem to translate into a noticeable practical survivability improvement. (especially if you have to tank 100% or nearly of magical protection)

  2. Is Pensieve too good? A better question might be: Is every other armor just that bad? Pensieve scales off of four pips of stats, even if they are mixed, and that really seems to make up every advantage that a single-scaling armor gives.

TL;DR: I really want to equip any other set of armor because I feel like I should tailor my gear towards my build, but I can't find anything that's better than pensieve's, even if I completely change my stats to be opposite of what I would have expected it to be. Is this correct, or am I missing something? (and I really want to be missing something)

Thanks all,

The logic in this quest design though...

I had to look up where Salzbrim was because you can't tell what's called Salzbrim unless you've already gathered motes there. Not letting you have access to all motes at once and requiring you to relog to see the next batch is another piece of design genius I could live without.

What content creators do you like

Been really enjoying Soulframe and was wondering what content creators you guys would suggest watching. I've watched Brozime/Soulframe Scholar a bit, but other than that I'm curious.

Thoughts on the new weapons system

I want to start by saying I appreciate DE trying to reduce the crafting burden, since it’s a major source of friction for new players. I still think crafting has a place as a core mid-to-late game system, focused on things like pacts, (Warframe's) Forma-like items, and Wyld pacts, weapons and armors.

This said, crafting is currently a big part of the game, if far less items need to be crafted. there could ba a resources inflation. Imo new craftable items or resources sinks needs to replace the place weapons currently hold (especially if they plan to do the same with armors).

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

The new system would require players to constantly scrap gear, which could quickly become tedious with the current inventory system. Even simple improvements like marking items as trash and bulk-destroying them would only partially solve the issue. It also creates friction for newer players, who won’t know what to keep or scrap. A solution I’d like is a separate "temporary" inventory with around 15–20 slots for weapons which can't be used as long as they stay there. This would reduce the pressure on personal inventory space and allow for a different handling system. Since most players would probably sell the majority of drops and keep only a few, it would make more sense to mark the items you want to keep, then sell everything else with a single button press.

HIGH BARRIER TO ENTRY

I strongly believe that core systems in live service games should be hard to master, yes, but easy to learn and approachable. My main concern with this system is that deciding what to keep, scrap, or invest resources into requires a lot of game knowledge. New players are being asked to make important decisions before they even understand the game well enough to make informed choices. That kind of friction can easily push people away, especially when the system makes players wfeel like it requires effort before they’ve decided whether they even enjoy the game.

A good comparison is Rivens in Warframe. They’re more complex, but optional. Even players with 1,000+ hours avoid engaging with them because of the barrier to entry. Many players constantly ask others whether a Riven is good, what it’s worth, and Riven trading is its own can of worms. But if weapons themselves now come with these kinds of modifiers, engaging with the system becomes mandatory rather than optional.

The high barrier to entry feels inherent to the system, and I don’t think that’s healthy for such a core part of the game. Something needs to be done to reduce that friction, even if I’m not sure what the best solution to do that and make these systems easier to understand and introducing them gradually.

WEAPON LEVEL

This is more of a QoL issue, but still worth addressing. If Weapon A is level 14 when I drop Weapon B, Weapon B will also start at level 14. However, if I later realize Weapon B is better after reaching level 30 with Weapon A, I still need to level Weapon B separately from 14 to 30 again.

This becomes less of an issue once you already have max-level weapons dropping, but it still creates unnecessary repetition. Weapon levels should ideally be shared across the same weapon type, as if the player is gaining experience with that weapon itself (i mean the weapon, e.g. The Paragon, not the weapon art, e.g. Greatswords), rather than with each individual item.

THIS SYSTEM PARADOX

One thing that worries me is the possibility of having to reinvest resources every time I find a better weapon, which may also lead to players holding resources until they find a “good enough” weapon. I really hope this won't be the case, as that would be a major issue for me, this said Steve mentioned that we’ll be able to upgrade these weapons, but the details matter a lot here. If upgrading only improves the Craftwork, that’s still a major issue for me. Finding a weapon with better tempers later would mean all the resources invested into the previous one were effectively wasted, forcing the player to start over again. That kind of progression loop would honestly be enough to make me quit if necessary to have decent gear. On the other hand, if players can freely upgrade craftwork and change tempers, then it risks undermining the entire purpose of the system, right?

I think something needs to change to preserve the idea behind the system while still giving players flexibility and preventing resource waste. Not an idea I'm proposing, but more of an example of what I mean would be: the first time you loot a new weapon you get the built weapon at the lowest possible craftwork, which is upgradable, and some random tempers. After that, everytime you loot that weapon you just get that weapon type's tempers, which have random value%. That way, when you drop tempers with higher with higher % you get a clear upgrade, and trading becomes more straightforward since players would mainly trade maxed rolls. (Easier than evaluating in in-game currency a set of tempers)
