In The Batman, there's a line of dialogue that was used in The Dark Knight, did it stick out to anyone?

That line is the phrase, "things will get worse before they get better". In The Dark Knight, Alfred uses it towards Bruce I believe after Rachel's death. In The Batman, Bruce himself uses it in the ending narration when talking about the aftereffects of the flood.

It's not that it doesn't have it's place in both films, it's not that it's not a saying people use in real life, and it's not that the context is the exact same. But I remember on first viewing it took me out of the moment, solely because Alfred's use of that saying in The Dark Knight felt like one of the standout lines of that movie. And whilst I doubt that it was a deliberate reference, and I'm sure that other Batman media/comics have used that line, to anyone with good memory of the standalone Batman films it feels like a direct link.

What are your guys idea for a Batman show/or movie?

Like what would be your idea for a Batman movie/show? Personally, I would have a show where each season follows a different aspect of what makes Bruce Batman.

Heres my idea of a show

Season 1: it would be "Batman: Soul" and follow the morality, hope, heart, and vengeance of Batman and follow him facing Villans that challenge this aspect. Example being Mr. Freeze, Baby doll, etc.

Season 2: "Batman: Body". This would Follow Batman and his physical toll on him and physical apperence of what Batman represents. We would see villans like Killer Croc, Two-face, penguin, Ragdoll, etc. And a potential adaptation of Knightfall with Batman's physical recovery of getting his back broken by Bane.

Season 3: "Batman: Mind" would follow the mental toll of Batman, like Scarecrow, Joker, Manhatter, and Riddler to test his Mrntal stability.

\-in all each season would represent a different aspect of Batman with his Emotional, Physical, and Mental stability tested to the limits.

RUMOR: Matt Reeves is pushing back not just the use of Battinson in the DCU, but the character of Batman in DCU as he believes Gunn’s Batman will hurt his The Batman IP

Cosmicbook News claims that their insiders have repeatedly been telling that Matt Reeves is pushing back not just the use of Battinson in DCU but the use of Batman per se in the DCU. Reeves believes that Gunn’s DCU is all over the place without a plan or firm creative oversight, that any inclusion of the character of Batman in ‘Man of Tomorrow’ or other DCU project could hurt his own ‘The Batman’ franchise.

If this is true, it’s really bizarre and shocking.

A) How Matt Reeves has so much power that he can dictate the use or block the use of Batman which is a different version from his, in the DCU?

B) Is James Gunn as head of DC Studios really in control of DC‘s most valuable property?

What do you guys think, if this report is true?

Bruce Waynes growth in Part II

What kind of growth would you want to see in Bruce Wayne specifically in Part II? We have seen very little of him in the first movie, but the character was cemented well enough for us to know what kind of a person he is outside of the suit. Personally, other than seeing more of Bruce in general in Part II, I'd love to see exploration his approach to being a public figure, and a very rich one at that. Maybe he thinks about the comment Bella Real made at the funeral and decides to do something about it, even if it's on an initially small scale. That'd also show how he'd act on all of the corruption the Riddler exposed, with Reneval and so on. Simply, I'd love to see him grow and change into a more public person and philanthropist. He doesn't necessarily have to abandon all of his doom and gloom, as that makes him unique in comparison to other Batmen (Batmans?).

What kind of growth would you enjoy seeing?

Mattson Tomlin (Co-writer of the sequel) has posted more excerpts of the Batman Impostor comic in the past few months (around casting news gifs time) than he did in the past three years. Strongest hint so far on wider plot since Harvey Dent announcement.

I dont see any issue with having TWO Batmen at once Live Action

People often talk about how we wont have DCU batman until Pattinson is done because it wouldn't make sense. I just dont understand this. I understand not wanting to release two solo Batman movies in the same year, that makes sense, but I mean The Flash had 3 batman in it and that was after The Batman and no one seemed to care. The Batman did super well at the Box Office and never once did I hear GA confusion about Pattinson being in the role when Ben Affleck was batman. I dont understand this, what are your thoughts?

Again I agree with idea of not having two Batman solo movies in the same year, that is a bad idea, but I think we could easily have a Batman in Man Of Tomorrow the same year that The Batman Part 2 releases. (Hypothetical, not actually theorizing that Batman will show up in Man Of Tomorrow.)

EDIT: wild how many people are taking this post in bad faith and comments. Fandom has to be better than this guy's like come on, we gotta be able to have these conversations, discuss the possibilities without resorting to "No it would be bad!" comments and just downvoting. Sometimes fandom is the worst thing about these properties.

EDIT EDIT: SO sorry about the above edit, it is from a post on DC Cinematic, reddit reccomended a re-post, I figured it would actually re-post not do whatever this is. Sorry for the confusion on that! Just trying to continue the discussion.
