Tirz to Ozempic

Starting using tirz in December. Current dose is 5mg from BPI. I unexpectedly received 6 boxes of 1mg Ozempic pens. I know that tirz & sema aren't the same meds and aren't 1-to-1 dosing. From what I've seen, 5mg tirz is equivalent in efficacy as 1mg sema. I'm losing an avg of 1lb/wk on 5mg tirz with some mild but manageable food noise/snacking urges.

Could I switch to 1mg sema on my next shot day, use up these pens, then switch back to tirz after the pens are gone? I have 6 Ozempic pens and around 300mg of tirz in stockpile (6 vials w/ differing BUDs). Hate to let such an unexpected gift go to waste.

Tirz booster?

Is anyone else taking oral niacinamide to increase effectiveness? My microdose is compounded with niacinamide, but I’ve also taken oral niacinamide for years and have wondered why my dose is so effective at such small amounts. From what I’ve read, niacinamide primes your body to be more responsive to glps.

Ozempic or Tirz?

Background: This is the second time I’ve been on ozempic. the first time was from Feb 2025-June 2025 stopped for a year and went back on it and I’ve noticed slow progress. I read online if you stop and start again it’ll take a while for your body to get used to it. I’ve been on it since April 2026 and have been on 1mg for 2 months so overall 4 months and I’ve only lost 8 lbs, but it definitely helps my PCOS/PMOS especially with inflammation and bloating that’s why I’m still on it.

Anyways I’m looking to transition from Ozempic to Tirz and wondering if anybody here has done the same? Some people have told me to stick with ozempic and up the dose to 2mg, but other people advised me to switch to Reta or Tirz. Pls help!

TRZ and insurance coverage

With my insurance, a month of trz cost $500 for a minimal dose of 5 mg per week. This amount seems excessive, particularly because the first month involves adjusting to the medication. Is this normal how can you guys afford this drug long term

Reta to tirz question?

I’m on my 2nd week of 0.5 of Reta but I think I’m too anxious of a person. I’m constantly checking my heart rate. HR jumps drastically while working out. Resting HR has only gone up slightly. Getting some tirz delivered tomorrow. How long should I wait to start it? should I just start when I was going to take my 3rd of Reta?

Thanks

Tirzepatide - scared to start

So, I am a 36 year old female. I have been on the edge of starting tirz for a long minute now… and I think I am finally going to take the plunge. I am 5’5 and my weight is hovering around 170 +/-. I have been so hesitant to start because one, I started a new job and didn’t want to be ill while at work… but mostly, because I’m so scared of the side effects. I hate feeling nauseous. I am starting on 2.5 mg of the kwik pen. Does anyone have any suggestions, or stories they could provide me with that would make me feel a little better 😬😩 I usually have a pretty weak stomach as is, and my mother tried ozempic and had a terrible time on it.

Reconstruction

I’m new to this and I’m kind of embarrassed to ask.

I have a trz 60mg vial.
I would like to switch from using my current telahealth and start buying powder version in bulk and mixing it myself. I’ve been on 15mg for almost a year now.

My question is if I add 6ml of bac water to the 60mg vial that makes 10mg/ml.. so on a insulin needle would I need one needle if 100 units and a second needle of 50 units to make the 15 dose?

Thank you in advance:)

Has anyone ever bought tirz from India

I hit a plateau at 15mg, so I decided to increase to 17,5mg. The problem is that I use El Lillys direct to get my zepbound of 15mg, where else would I get the missing 2.5? So I decided to buy from India because they sell for a good price and whatever quantities I need. My only problem is with transporting and loosing quality and efficacy. I’m still not loosing weight on 17.5mg
Any tips?

Prior Authorization Help

I’m currently self pay for Tirzepeptide,

My insurance (through an employer) will cover Zepbound with a prior Auth. I just don’t have a doctor. Are there any tele-health companies that can write a prescription and help with the prior Auth that is required. Or for anyone who has been down this road any guidance on getting my meds covered would be helpful !

Thanks !

Transition question

RS is transitioning from Tirz to Survodutide. It’s a lot more potent than Tirz. The high on Tirz was 7.5mg. Then dropped to 5 mg a few weeks ago and last night dropped again to 2.5. How long should my RS stay on the 2.5 tirz before transitioning over to Surv?
