Anyone have guesses on when it was made? It doesn't have the circle copyright symbol that would have appeared in 1955 but I read Napier was a little inconsistent about that and didn't always include even after that year.
The foldover clasp doesn't help either, I feel like it could be mid century all the way through the 80s/early 90s haha.
Really pleased with this one regardless! It's so fun.
I’m looking for bulk buys of vintage jewelry. Anyone have any leads?
Hi all! I have a curiosity on my hands.
This is an unmarked brooch I picked up from the thrift store. It's lovely, made of metal, and looks like it was perhaps painted with blue enamel at one point. It also looks like it is silver plated, perhaps made with Brass. The middle is a little more pink than it should be.
My issue is that any research I undertake for tjis piece reveals that this is a Lang and is supposed to be Sterling silver. The listings ARE virtually identical, and there are other listings that don't have the bow that are also marked "Sterling". The pattern is the same, front and back. None of the listings appear to be made with enamel either, nor painted with anything else.
Does anyone have an opinion? Is this a reproduction or are all the other listings exaggerating the metal purity? Thanks in advance!
Is this vintage? Good resources to learn about antique/vintage costume jewelry. Thanks!
Hello all. I need help with identifying a pair of clip on earrings. I don’t think it’s Juliana. Which designer could this be and which characteristics help identify it as that particular designer?
I do love Danecraft, but I didn't set out to collect all the pieces in this design - I originally purchased the bracelet and earrings for the price of a fast food dinner, and considered myself lucky. Then, I stumbled upon the necklace recently, by chance, in a poorly described listing sold as silver-tone and priced accordingly (it's sterling). At that point, I couldn't resist finding the brooch to complete the set, and it just arrived in the mail. And now I am the proud owner of a full Scottish Thistle parure. All pieces are Danecraft sterling with the registered mark, probably late 40s to early 50s.
Also a published advertisement piece.
Hi all, me again! This time i have a makers mark, but no idea who it is. Please help?
