WASP merch and stuff

Hello wasp sub, My grandfather passed away recently and we have been going through his stuff. From what i know he was good friends with blackie, ace and a lot of other guys in that scene and just wanted to share what we came across/ maybe sell some because there is a lot…

A lot of these are multiples and I kept a lot not shown here but these are some of his shirts and his bike featured in the wild child music video. My grandfather was also featured in the dead in Texas music video as the bartender. Just wanted to share or get some input. On a side note he was a notorious collector and my dad had reached out to the show filthy fortune to shoot an EP about him (idk how I feel about it).

Album vs. Album Tournament Round 13: The Crimson Idol vs. Unholy Terror

Unsurprisingly, The Headless Children beat Double Live Assassins with a vote of 20 to 4. Both are great albums, but it was really no competition. Headless is an absolute classic W.A.S.P. album and it would’ve been shocking if it didn’t win that round. Double Live Assassins did do better than expected though with 4 votes.

For round 13 we have The Crimson Idol vs. Unholy Terror. Again, two great albums but it would be shocking if this went one way instead of the other. Still will be interesting to see how these albums stack up against each other though. Comment below with the name of the album you want to see move onto the next round!

If Golgotha turned out to be the final W.A.S.P. album, would you be okay with that?

Something I’ve been thinking about recently. As the years go on, it’s starting to seem more and more unlikely that a new W.A.S.P. album will become a reality. I’ve always thought that Golgotha would be a perfect final chapter for Blackie and the band, and as much as I’d like a new album I just don’t know that Blackie would be able to deliver something on the same level as this (or really anything prior to it). He’s also alluded to this as well. And now that we know Blackie has no problem with AI, what’s to stop him from using it to not only create album artwork, but also to enhance vocals/instrumentation, and possibly even assist with writing lyrics? That’s the thing that scares me more than anything else about a new W.A.S.P. album. The fact that Blackie could do something extremely inauthentic and try to pass it off as his own, and as deceptive as he can be, I wouldn’t put it past him to try something like that.

So that goes back to Golgotha. How would you feel if it turned out to be the swan song for W.A.S.P.? Is it a strong enough album that you’d be okay with it as their final output, or do you feel that it would be a weak closing chapter to their career?

Jonathan's Farewell (Most Obscure Track in Discography?)

https://youtu.be/55weCBjPatk?si=ylhnoXYQ2pJ58n3O

I used to think "Unreal" on the 2000 greatest hits CD was the most obscure track until I recently discovered that Reidolized has an exclusive track only heard at the end of the limited edition DVD.

It didn't make the cut on the standard Reidolized CD and can only be heard during the end credits of the film.

I now believe that "Jonathan's Farewell" should be the absolute final track on anyone's playlist of Crimson Idol songs if you're playing them in order. I formerly had "The Eulogy" last but this new track has a greater sense of finality to it in my opinion.

I uploaded it as a standalone track, so anyone can use a YouTube to MP3 converter to download it if they still like to keep music that way. It's not on Spotify or the official YouTube channel as far as I can tell.

Let me know what you think of it, and tell me if you knew about this song all along and I was just really out of the loop.

Early version of Sex Drive recorded by Blackie’s pre-W.A.S.P. band Sister.

I love these old demos. Interesting to hear the origins of some W.A.S.P. songs and how Blackie would eventually end up reworking them.

Album vs. Album Tournament Round 12: The Headless Children vs. Double Live Assassins

Round 11 was possibly the most interesting and unexpected round we’ve had so far. Dominator beat Inside The Electric Circus with 17 votes to 11. Personally I do agree with that outcome and think that Dominator is one of the strongest W.A.S.P. albums while Inside The Electric Circus just isn’t. Still surprising to see a modern album beat a classic like that. ITEC does have plenty of fans though and I’ve seen people say it’s one of, if not their most favorite W.A.S.P. album, but a good upset always makes things more fun!

Round 12 will not be quite as interesting unfortunately. We have The Headless Children taking on Double Live Assassins. This round is pretty much just a formality and it would be absolutely shocking if it went one way instead of the other. We all know what the outcome will be, but we’ll go through the motions anyway. Comment below with the name of the album you want to see move onto the next round!

Multi-Part Songs Without Audio Gaps

A few songs have a lead-in intro song before the main track, but when you listen to them sequentially online, there's an audio gap in between because songs need to load. Even some full album uploads retain the gap when transitioning between songs, which makes no sense to me. That takes me out of the listening experience, and it's hard to find the combined tracks online sometimes, so I uploaded some of those W.A.S.P. tracks for anyone who uses YouTube for their music.

The link is to one of the videos, and you can see the others by clicking on the channel.

The Big Welcome & Inside The Electric Circus, Fetus & Little Death, Unholy Terror & Charisma, Black Bone Torso & Hell For Eternity, Heaven's Hung In Black & The Reprise.

For The Big Welcome, I cut out the spoken carnival intro so it's just the music, as that is my personal preferred way of listening to that track. For Heaven's Hung In Black, I tacked The Reprise on at the end because I like to listen to them back to back even though it's out of album order.

Did WASP have any type of influence on future bands?

I know WASP wasn’t as influential as Metallica or any other bigger bands, but did they have some sort of influence on other relevant bands musically? Or even in the shock rock aspect? I thought about this for a long time and want to see what you guys think

Happy b-day Chris, also new guitar!

Chris is the reason why I started to play the guitar. 6 months ago I ordered this beast and it came right on his birthday and a few days ago I said that it would be funny if it arrived on this day.. and it did.
