The Last Command - Live at Sweden Rock Festival 2010

The Last Command - Live at Sweden Rock Festival 2010

This song has only been performed live four times. Three of them were during The Last Command tour in 1986, and once here at Sweden Rock in 2010. I’m surprised that this song hasn’t been performed more frequently considering how anthemic it is. Seems like a perfect song for a live setting. Would be a nice one for them to add back into the set for this upcoming tour!

Anyone got the link to an old article about slayer “coincidentally” copying wasp over the years?

I seen an article a few years back pointing out many “coincidences” of slayer copying a lot from wasp, it included song titles, album art and even promo blood bags years after wasp did it…

If anyone can find it please link.

Anyway even tho the article was written in a sarcastic manner do you believe theres some truth?

My vocal interpretation of “Heaven’s Hung in Black”...

I've always loved "Heaven's Hung in Black" — to me, it's one of the most emotional songs on the Dominator album.

I'm a female vocalist and I recently recorded my own version of it. I wanted to bring a different vocal perspective to the song.

Since this is my first post here, I thought I'd share it with fellow W.A.S.P. fans and see what you think?

I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts — especially from people who love the original...

KFD Japan & USA CDs

I had been looking for a Japanese copy of KFD for years and finally scored a complete used copy on Ebay. My main objective was to get a quality rip of Tokyo's on Fire. In my opinion, one of the best songs on the record. Criminal that it was only available in Japan.

I also wanted to see what was different in terms of packaging or sound. For packaging, let's face it, KFD didn't come in a quality package no matter what side of the pond you were on. Neither is in a jewel case. The Japanese edition does feel less cheap with smoother material and lacks the ugly plastic clamp. It also includes a booklet with the lyrics in English and Japanese. Curiously, the lyrics for Tokyo's on Fire are missing an entire verse section from the track itself.

Colors and labeling differ on the CD print. The US version simply has KFD printed while the Japanese version uses the album's full name in shiny letters.

Sound quality, they're nearly identical. Unless you're doing a direct comparison, you'll have a hard time noticing. The Japanese edition has a slight edge in clarity, particularly on high notes and background effects. I first noticed it on Killahead while stepping through the tracks.

WASP Music Videos on Spotify

It seems Blackie is finally uploading a lot of the band’s music videos to Spotify. The quality leaves a lot to be desired because it looks like they just downloaded them from YouTube and re-uploaded them, but it’s good to see that they’re finally prioritizing these kinds of things that can help boost the band’s popularity among new generations.

I’m just curious why they chose to upload those VH1 recordings. I wonder if Blackie doesn’t have the original footage or if he’s ever thought about remastering them - which many of those videos definitely need.
