what went on last Friday with the serious assault outside Foregate Street Station at 8pm?
how can something like this happen in broad daylight with hundreds of people around and no one gets arrested?

i was diagnosed with autism and adhd just over a year ago and have found realising and coming to terms with that quite difficult so i was just wondering if there were any groups or something for autistic adults in worcester ?

I’m starting a job in Cheltenham and my girlfriend is starting up in south Birmingham, we both need to be in the office 5 days a week. As a halfway point we’re thinking of living in Worcester and I was wondering if anyone knew of this is a feasible commute? I know normally it only takes around 40 minutes but I know that stretch of the m5 can be a bit of a nightmare and am concerned that this would end up being more like 1h+ each way every day with rush hour traffic. Anyone with insight to this commute would be much appreciated.
Hi all,
I’m taking my mom out to dinner for her birthday in a few weeks time. I am looking for recommendations in Worcester City Centre. We are looking for -
- Somewhere that is independent to Worcester or the local area, not a chain.
- About £100 budget for two people.
- Open on a Monday evening.
- City centre location (or walkable from the city centre)
- My Mom has asked for somewhere with like an upscale pub/gastro pub/casual dining vibe, nothing too fancy.
We like most cuisines but I’m personally not a big fan of Thai food or seafood.
Thanks everyone!
Hi - we've had FTTP from Openreach for about 4 years now (2 with BT, 2 with Sky). I want to switch to Vodafone (who can use Openreach according to Openreach's website), but when placing the order it says a CityFibre engineer needs to come out to take a look.
I really don't need any more holes drilling into and around my house (the router and Openreach box is on the opposite side of the house to the street), and I don't care about upload speeds (I know CityFibre is better for this).
Has anyone local gone through a similar process with Vodafone (or anyone else) and been forced to get CityFibre installed alongside an existing Openreach line? I spoke to Vodafone and they couldn't confirm either way what'll happen, but they did say if CityFibre insist on installing a new line I can cancel at that point and my Sky broadband account will remain active. Thanks!
Been seeing this baby around blushes and eagle vaults area. I don’t think it can fly cuz it’s just crying and roaming around and there are three seagulls watching over it☹️ I’ve fed it whenever I can and people have been giving it water but what can be done for the baby??
Tbf that’s not saying much cause I’ve only ever seen the tiny fish that fisherman catch
I'm a big fan of secondhand shopping to find products for low cost. I always found it frustrating that there's no single place to easily find nearby charity shops, thrift stores, car boot sales, antique fairs, table top sales, or vintage markets. Google Maps misses loads of them.
So I decided to build an app to solve that which would be really useful while travelling. You can even share your thrift haul.
It's called Ganddee (free on iOS & Android).
I’d love for you to try it out and hear feedback.
I might have the opportunity to move from Worcester to Hereford soon. I work for an agency and often work in Hereford/Gloucester so there will be no problem for commutes.
I am in my 20s and feel there is nothing left here for me apart from the odd few family members.
I love going to the gym and would like recommendations of gyms in Hereford as well if anyone knows any that are more kind of “hardcore” vibes.
Does anyone have any pros/cons and have any preferences of where they have lived?
Right now I live in Ronkswood, for reference. Can get a lot more for my money in Hereford
EDIT: I grew up in a rural area on the outskirts of Worcester and lived in Upton upon Severn for a few years, so I’m no stranger to things being quiet (although Upton always has a festival on!)
Thank u :)
Any ideas what this is about?
Went to the Raven last night for a concert. My bf went to get me a drink and when the bartender took the order he said to my bf “the roofies are extra.” Watch your back and stay safe everyone. Bartender should be fired.
I've got a friend (Im an online friend from Austria) who lives in or near Worcester from what I know, who'd usually throughout the day send me videos on TikTok and message me in the evening, that's kinda been every day for a long time now but yesterday since around 7:30 your guy's time nobody I know has heard from him and I don't know anybody else nearby who Coupe check on him so I thought I could come on here and ask some of you if you maybe know about some accident or such to have happened or if any of you know him who could tell me what happened because I feel like I'm out of options and I'm genuinely really worried about him. Also don't really wanna just spread his full government name but his first name is Jude and his surname starts with M.
If anybody has any info that'd be great please!
Still trying, so thought I would ask for some advice, big difference in getting kebabs delivered. What are the best in Worcester, to St John’s area?
Opening up the windows earlier felt like when you open the fridge and that cool air rushes against your face.
Very glad that Heatwave is calming down/finished and we can get back to regularly scheduled summer warmth with breeze. 😻
Hi all, I’m a local independent journalist researching a locally known title/style called the Duke of Worcestershire, connected in some local accounts with Worcestershire Hall and the Alister-Windsor name.
I’m trying to track down proper published sources rather than rumours or word-of-mouth. I’m especially looking for:
If you have a clipping or book page, the most useful details are the newspaper/book title, date, page number, headline, and author if listed. A photo of the whole page is much more useful than a cropped paragraph.
Please don’t post private addresses, personal contact details, or rumours about living people. I’m only looking for published material.
Thanks in advance. This seems to be one of those very local bits of Worcestershire history that exists more in print and memory than online.
I don't know if it's the heat, but I swear I drove past a sign this afternoon on London Road reading "This road will be closed 6/7/2026 for 8 weeks"
For real, full road closure? Or is it gunna be partial. If it's a full closure then Holy crap it's gunna be rough. Cadent though so I'm not holding any hope...
Edit: Found some info!
Cadent just announced the details for this project. They are launching a major gas main upgrade on London Road to replace over 770 meters of aging pipeline with durable new plastic pipes.
Key Dates & Traffic Impact
Timeline: The project officially begins on Monday, July 6, 2026, and is scheduled to run until the end of August 2026.
London Road: The main road itself will remain open, but temporary traffic lights will be in operation for the entire duration of the project. You'll definitely want to allow extra time for travel along this stretch.
Side Road Closures: Starting a week later on July 13, Foxwell Street will be completely closed for roughly two weeks to let engineers work safely. Additional work will also impact Yew Tree Close.
Data gleaned from Cadent Gas via AI search. So please feel free to double check.
Does anyone know if the barber "Looking Sharp" has a new location in Worcester?
She was/is the best barber in Worcester, and did say the shop was moving but if anyone knows the new location please let me know.
I had to go somewhere else that took so long I'm now gonna get a parking ticket from st martins gate, and she had to redo cos somehow she made me look like and 80yr old man, and after an hour of cutting still looks like I've been dragged through a hedge. Absolutely bloody livid.
Anyone have insider info on what is happening with the eviction of GoodRoots on Severn Street?
No further official news after the initial article 6 days ago and no social media posts.
Seems such a shame to lose both a great restaurant and a community hub.
Lived in kiddy all my life but absolutely love visiting Worcester… always wanted to buy my forever home there. Got a couple more years to save like a mad man so could possibly stretch 375k but realise this might not be possible and I’d need to look further afield eg fernhill heath(?)
Does anyone know of any place in the Worcester area that has a cribbage night? Anyone interested if I were to start one up, or interested in learning the game? It’s a great game that I feel is kind of disappearing.
