Are people genuinely campaigning?

I'm nowhere near Clacton so was wondering if people are actually boots on the ground campaigning for Binface or if he is more of a paper candidate.

I'd really love for him to win and get rid of reform, that message alone will be a winner for lots of people. With a low turnout expected if we can get people to turn up to vote for Binface, you never know, it could happen

Does anyone else feel gaslit when the government or media talk about the growing welfare bill?

It feels to me that both the government and mainstream media will constantly say the welfare bill is ballooning but conveniently not mention that the largest section of that bill, 50%, is pensions. They also seemingly ignore that it is the fastest growing part of the bill. (I've included a link with a breakdown of spending)

I'm not saying we should cut pensions I'm just saying that when there is talk of welfare cuts they ignore the largest portion of the bill and focus on much smaller things. It also seems very hypocritical to me that they claim raising the minimum wage in line with inflation would be catastrophic and cause a wage price spiral but that the triple lock is sensible🤔

To our recent members

No matter what the results of the local elections are please don't be disappointed or disheartened.

Members who have been in the party for years know that getting just one councillor elected is an uphill battle. We have had to face many losses before finally getting a win. For our huge membership gains to translate to election wins may take time and will take a lot of work.

With that being said, let's hope for the best! Let's go Greenies!💚💚
