Are Yoto’s on their way out?
Wondering why they are no longer being sold at Target and the most recent model for the mini player is 2024.

I finally decided that I wanted to get a mini and all of a sudden they're out of stock at both my local stores. Are they dropping a 2025 version or just super popular right now that you can't get them anywhere?
I haven't checked Amazon but it's not my favorite place to get electronics so if I can avoid purchasing there I'd like too.
I’m looking for interactive card recommendations. And specifically any feedback on the Let’s Move bundle and the Slumberkins Meditation bundle.
If you’re looking for fun songs that teach counting, phonics, punctuation and spelling, I would highly recommend making a leap frog MYO card! My son and I sing the songs on the way to daycare 😅
I’ve made a playlist of the songs on YouTube:

And I’ve drawn the character icons:

Which charger blocks do you use that are safe? I don't want to keep using my laptop charger block because I need it, and I don't have blocks that are USB-A lying around (because it's 2026 and most everything is now USB-C). The ones that come with cell phones aren't typically powerful enough, Yoto needs a 12v==1.5a (per the label), so my little USB-A to USB-C adapter isn't enough. I'm also a little concerned about picking up any cheap unit on Amazon given the recent overheating reports. (If the company is reading this: For heaven's sake, PROVIDE A SAFE AND APPROPRIATE CHARGER BLOCK! They're not the only ones who do this, I'm so tired of the onus on the consumer to find the right charger block for the product and basically figure out what's safe/correct to use. C'mon, guys, your product should come with everything it needs to safely work, most especially because it's marketed to young children. Besides, I'm a parent, I have no time to deal with this.)
Is it still charging if the battery symbol is gone? I've tried to test it and sometimes it feels like it wasn't charging, feels like I'm not getting a full 8 hours of battery afterwards. I'm not finding a little red light or some other kind of charging indicator next to the USB-C charging port to show that it's charging, like so many electronics have.
TIA!
So I have a few different cards, including a MYO which is full of pepper pig stories (I think its just actual episodes recorded audio) and she keeps putting it on which is great.... but also it's driving me crazy and need suggestions of anything else (any other toddler friendly ones like bluey etc I can download/make myself)
We bought our son a Yoto player as a gift for his 3 year old birthday. While adding songs/stories from youtube to playlist, I have to first download the video as mp3 to my laptop and then upload to yoto playlist. Doing one is fine, but doing many is just too much.
So immediately vibe-coded a chrome extension that does this automatically. It's pretty easy to use and saves lots of time.
I tried Shazam and Google Gemini to search the song. No luck
Our family got a Yoto mini for Easter along with some shorter stories for my 3yo (llama llama, Winnie the pooh) a bunch of classic stories for my 5 yo. She's not reading independently yet, but she goes through audiobooks like nobody's business, with INSANE listening comprehension. The Yoto quickly became her "audiobook machine" and she whipped through Anne of Green Gables, Secret Garden, Jungle book, and Little Princess.
I was reading Treasure Island to her at bedtime, and she told me she wanted to keep listening to it on her Yoto. Sure, no problem. Then she tells me the Yoto story is wrong. It's not the same book we've been reading. Sure enough, she's right. The Yoto version is different. In fact, it seems like all of the classics she's been reading are actually "yoto original" versions. I THOUGHT that just meant performed and produced by Yoto, but evidently it ALSO means abridged and edited by Yoto.
Did I miss where these books are labeled as abridged? Are they all abridged? I thought I was buying the actual books for her and now I feel like I've been conned. I guess I should've known since there's no way to read Oliver Twist in under 2.5h (Dickens was paid by the word, and it shows). But I'm legitimately upset by this.
My daughter is turning 4, and she’s probably going to be the one teaching me how to use the Yoto I want to get her, in all reality, because, well… kids these days! But, how do I get started? What are the best cards to start her with? What are you and your kiddos loving? I feel technically challenged to start with the MYO ones.
It looks like it resets after the card is inserted and then nothing… please help!
Hi, if we add someone to our family account who is getting yoto for the first time, will it erase all of the saved content and such on our Yoto players, or only theirs (which wouldn’t be applicable anyways, since their player has no content yet)?
Will we lose access to anything on our app and account?
*Everybody wanna have a best friend, but your best friend gotta be you (you)!*
Also it plays *Breakfast at Tiffany’s* an inexplicable amount of times per day. But all in all. I like it. I like having background music and it’s obviously less repetitive than my kid’s Moana card. Good mix of kids stuff and everyone music. I’ve learned some science facts from songs about different animals and whatnot.
Good stuff. Glad we have it.
I bought Yoto mini for my son and the volume button after two months became quite loose, so it was difficult to turn volume up and down.
Then got a replacement and in 3 days with new yoto the button on the right became so stiff that we cannot even turn it at all.
Is this normal, I’m worried now after I’ve returned this one about getting another yoto.
Have I just been unlucky? What do they usually do when these buttons start acting up?
My 5yo is obsessed with “silly stories for kid” podcast, but whenever ever I play it through his yoto it skips to the next episode before the story is finished. When I linked it to a card the same issue occurred. Has anyone had the same issue and if so have you found a solution? What the best way to download many podcast episodes if I have to do it externally?
I don't want the "live feed" option, but I want to load past episodes onto a MYO. Is the only option to screen record and extract the audio?? I would think/hope that there would be a bit more of a streamlined option since it's content that's already in the app/it's in the Yoto universe but I can't seem to find a way.
Thanks in advance!
It would amuse me I have a self powered speaker playing the same things Number 6 couldn't turn off. That's all.
Does anyone have any Yoto content from Disney Pixar Cars Toons or On the Road series? I see related icons on the Yoto Icons site so presume MYO content/ideas might be available. I have the Junior Novelisations of Cars 1, 2, and 3. Even just the audio from the On the Road series would work. Would be grateful for any tips ☺️
I was browsing through the app and saw the weather forecast card. I added it to my library and to a MYO card soon after. We tried it and worked perfectly. It actually became very helpful to make decisions about the day as a family involving everyone. It really was fun to listen to it and easily became part of our daily routine, until it stopped working.
I’ve restarted the Yoto and loaded the card on to a different MYO in case it was the card itself but nothing. We hear “welcome to _______, ____” and stops mid sentence. That’s it. Has anyone else noticed any issues with this specific card? How did you fix it?
