Abandoned morgue

Always op/oc/no ai!

An old morgue, a steel structure that gives it a chilling vibe. Tucked away in the basement of a large hospital. A place most people walk right past. It was dark, but a good flashlight helps🙌

Greetings and find me everywhere

New book : Abandoned Birmingham

Hey everyone! I’m excited to announce the release of my newest book, Abandoned Birmingham.
For years, I’ve been documenting the forgotten, abandoned, and historic places around Birmingham; many of which have since been demolished or restored. This book brings together photographs and stories from some of the city’s most fascinating forgotten places. If you’re interested in Birmingham history, architecture, abandoned places, or just love seeing a side of the Magic City that most people never get to see, I’d love for you to check it out.

📚 You can order a copy here:

https://www.through-time.com/collections/leland-kent/products/birmingham-al

Thanks to everyone in this community who has followed my work over the years. Birmingham has an incredible history, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help document a small part of it before it’s gone.

Burnt and 'bandoned Busses - North Carolina, USA 35mm Film.

Found a trio of burned out and abandoned busses early this summer along with a nearby house and used it to test out a camera, and see if it would work for a photo shoot once it had cooled down a bit in September or October. The house was uninteresting and was torn down a few weeks later. Unfortunately, when I drove by last weekend, I discovered the busses had been towed away and the site cleaned out so no apocalypse-themed shoots, but I am able to post these pics earlier than planned.

Found an abandoned cabin.

Found this abandoned cabin like structure. Looks like whoever loved here left abruptly. Pretty much everything left. Canned foods that expired in 2020. Military commendations and literally lots and lots of stuff.

If anyone is interested in seeing how we're surviving our here on the prairie I made a sub showing our day to day from our meals to the wildlife.

Mods of this isn't okay just let me know and I'll delete it. I didn't see a rule about it but just in case let me know.

What’s this?

Found this atop a hill where they are building a new development and it caught my attention. It’s located in Cornwall Pennsylvania and I think there was a mining operation at some point does it have to do with that?

Abandoned coal mine. Spain.

When entering a tunnel that has been sealed for years, it is essential to conduct a preliminary assessment of the internal atmosphere. To do this, it is advisable to insert the gas detector through the smallest possible opening, thus minimizing exposure to potential accumulations of gases trapped for long periods, some of which can be toxic, asphyxiating, or even lethal.

It is not uncommon for the detector to start sounding alarms in sealed tunnels even before fully approaching the obstruction. In some explorations carried out in seemingly well-ventilated mines, significant concentrations of methane (CH), hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), and other hazardous gases

have been detected, both due to their toxicity and their explosive potential.

Safety must always take precedence over any other objective. Upon detecting hazardous gases, even if the affected area appears limited to a few meters, the most prudent course of action is to abandon the exploration and turn back.
