Join your fellow Charlotte Dark Scene denizens for a (dark & spooky) night in the museum
at the Bechtler Museum of Modern art on Wednesday August 26 from 5-8 PM as we explore the gallery, share our thoughts, and get social outside of a concert or DJ night.

Bats at Bechtler will be the first in a new monthly series of events where we experience our city as tourists, increase community involvement, while better understanding & appreciating art through sharing our diverse community's knowledge and opinions.

This is a FREE, ALL AGES event - anyone under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

The latest edition of Charlotte Dark Zine, the official Zine of CDS, and the only zine dedicated to the goth, industrial, post-punk, darkwave, horror punk, deathrock & dark alternative community in Charlotte, NC is now available. This issue features Squeaky's review of the Most Modern show with In A Darkened Room & Secret Idol at Evening Muse with photography by Xaq Fixx.

Computer Kill

Computer Kill is a Baltimore-based project blending post-punk urgency with brooding electronic soundscapes. Formed in 2022 and spearheaded by songwriter and producer Noah Schippers, he quickly carved out a space in underground scenes both in real life and on the internet. Known for intense, cathartic live shows for having a distinct sonic mood, Computer Kill continues to push the boundaries of darkwave and synth-driven pop.

Night Ritualz

Night Ritualz is the sonic embodiment of moody, haunting soundscapes fused with raw energy. Drawing inspiration from iconic bands like “Depeche Mode”, “Deftones”, & “At The Drive In” their music blurs the line between dark wave, electronic, EBM, & post-punk creating a genre they call “fuck wave.” With deep roots in Mexican culture, Night Ritualz also weaves Tejano influences into their songs, blending English and Spanish lyrics to tell stories that are both deeply personal and universally relatable. From shadowy atmospheres to pulse-pounding beats, their sound is a reflection of both sadness and vitality.
