I personally feel like mid is ambessa's best role you can take fleet if you are out ranged vs a mage or electrocute if you don't think you are going to get abused for range you get access to gluttonous greaves t3 I like going hubris voltaic and axiom arc 4th item is dd and 5th eh you pretty much beat everyone in mid lane and are able to roam really easily
Imo a renekton ban isn't really necessary as the matchup feels quite playable or you can atleast always go pretty even. Champs that just run you down and outsustain you feel way worse like ww or trynd, only these are way less common than renekton so im trying to see what your thoughts are
I have never experienced this with a champion before, and it's really frustrating so I gotta ask. Does anyone else feel like nothing feels good on this champ build wise? I've tried lethality, tank, brusier, hybrid but nothing seems to fit into place if that makes sense. For example, when you get your first item on a champ, you feel a noticable difference in power/durability/whatever. On Ambessa it doesn't feel that way at all. She always seems to need "more" and I don't get why. I've lookd at all the youtube guides, etc and they all seem to be either outdated or just accepts the clunkiness of the champ.
It's not just one thing either, it feels like a combination of several things that puts her in a crappy spot. Yes, the ult nerf doesn't feel good at all. It's insane how many times an enemy dodges the ult without even realizing what was happening. Also the increase in item cost for some of her more popular builds make me feel like I'm always behind. What are your thoughts? Am I nuts or is some of this actually making sense?
what do we think abot this item in next patch i think its gonna be pretty strong on ambessa ult haste +30 ad after ult seems pretty strong only thing taht is bad is lack of haste it can be pretty strong second item cant wait to test it on jg with hubris
Is it worth to start learning ambessa if im in gold 4 and i have 0 experience on her? I heard that shes oOP in higher elo, and also that she got nerfed
idk man since the ult nerf, i feel like she lost her whole purpose, while she is fun sometimes, its also frustrating when you re dodging stuff and also using abilities on your opponent and at the same time they stand still and do the same damage as you.
Yooooo, I randomly tried her in ARAM: Mayhem and she really surprised me....shes waaay cooler than I thought. Her kit is fairly simple opposed to what I was thinking, but I am extremely sure her skill ceiling is like super high, so I wanna dedicate more time into her. Already had a few games now that I absolutely dominated (Normals, not ranked ofc), but I wanted to get some tips here because:
My clear is super slow (I often finish a few seconds after scuttle spawns)
I have no clue what to build....when do I build Lethality, when do I build Bruiser style? What Lethality/Bruiser items should I go in which instances?
Is conqueror the best runepage? Ive seen people play Electrocute too, is that viable/better?
Any other very useful stuff you know that many people overlook?

Disclaimer: I use coachless.gg stats from 16.9 (last patch) and only take into account for items thats have significant sample size . also your playstyle and familiarity with a build/rune also does matter a lot, so yes ''mathematically correct'' is clickbait. I'm a jungle main so I'm lot more confident on what I have to say about jungle build, about top lane I'll just put the stats there for discussion.
JUNGLE BUILD
-Runes : First Strike > Conq
Thats what the stat say, but I'm not convinced after testing, it barely give more gold than triumph and damage wise its fine at best.
-Jg pet: Green smite > Red smite > Blue smite
This had been the trend for multiple patches where green outperform red smite by quite a significant margin. I have tested it and would recommend going green instead of red vs poke comps or 2+ assassins.
-1st item: Voltaic >> Profane > Hubris >> Eclipse (DO NOT GO BRUISER ON JG)
Note that Voltaic is nerfed this patch 16.10 (price increased 100). though the item outperform profane so much last patch, i would still recommend buying it over profane if u can afford it. in cases when you can buy profane but cant buy voltaic, just buy profane, its 150g cheaper.
-2nd item: Serpent fang (when it works) >> axiom > sundered sky
I tested 1 lethality item into sundered sky, it was fine but it seems the stats say otherwise.
-3rd item: Just go Death Dance xd
-Boots : Gluttonous = Steelcap >Merc >>Ionian
note that gluttonous got giga nerfed
-4+ item: build what you need, serylda, mortal reminder, endless hunger, maw, guardian angel (In most cases guardian angel is the best item after your 3 core item, unless you really need that armor pen, magic resist, or the game isnt close to ending and you can buy endless hunger)

It's the first time I played Grasp instead of Electrocute and even though I see lots of people play the rune, I have a hard time imagining the value it provided.
It was a game against an Illaoi and even having stomped the game, the stats don't seem incredible to me, I don't really know.
After taking a break from league for about a year after maining maokai top, I came back this season to pick up ambessa after seeing a chall/gm player main her u/V4ll3x shoutout to you bro. I saw his post on reddit about zaahen and saw that he mostly played ambessa so i tested her out. The very first game I played on ambessa was against him, the challenger ambessa main on renekton LOL. The learning curve to the champion is pretty high and i had a 40-ish winrate on her climbing back through plat and only started winning games on her once i hit diamond and played almost exclusively lethality ambessa. After the nerfs lethality ambessa feels really shit but you can still make her work. If you have any questions I can answer them
I ve been told by some that shojin is a bait item as 2nd, i mostly go shojin when im vs tanks, but i sometimes also go sunderer sky. if so, then what are good alternatives for 2nd item as i go 70% of my games voltaic first?
i really hope she gonna het some little buffs in jg next patch playing on toplane is horrible and after recent nerfs shes kinda bad in jg idk why she even get that nerfs after r nerfs she wasnt that strong on jg as before
I'm currently playing Ambessa top with this build and it feels really good right now. Her lv6 is much much stronger than before, her sustain after gluttonous greaves is insane. Play it while you can, folks. Works really well on my elo. currently 1k lp KR server.

So with ambessa having passive lifesteal built into her R, I've never actually questioned this, does the lifesteal apply to ALL abilitys, or just her R hitting a target?
