I killed Sylas level 4, he has TP and I don't. I'm level 4 vlad, I can't push the wave in time. I decided to just leave it how it is and base, but I lost a good amount of minions and gave up a fair portion of the exp advantage I got from killing him as he TPed back to lane and insta shoved it. Is there anything better to do here?
I've been playing lol for 2 years and in that time have exclusively played jungle. I started in iron and learned all about the game and climbed to diamond. I got tired of one tricking viego and nothing else in the jungle champ pool interested me, so I made a new account and started learning mid lane.
I've been playing yone and vlad only, and it feels quite frustrating to learn. In jungle role, it feels like the learning progression is very linear. Players don't really punish you until plat/emerald, before that you can make mistakes and still play. Mid lane however (as well as every other lane) doesn't work the same way and is much more polarizing to learn.
The problem I'm running into right now is I will pick one of my champs and I get a bad matchup, say viktor or orianna vs vlad, but the person I'm laning against is completely clueless and just lets me go 10 cs/m and then I get item at 9 minutes and run over the enemy team in 15 minutes. Yet I will play this matchup again against someone who is actually somewhat aware of what they're doing, and it feels like each minion costs me half my health bar, and I really have no clue as to how I'm supposed to farm decently without getting myself killed. When players are aware of your cds/what you champ does, it feels like it's impossible to trade back their poke (goes for both vlad and yone).
My question is really is there any non-agonizing way to learn these matchups, or in a way that is more linear, as with learning jungle? or do I just have to get my teeth kicked in until I eventually figure out what to do?
i've been playing vlad bot over mid and enjoying it much more, just wondering if it's possible to bring kayle down there so i can exclusively queue bot lane. i understand that sharing exp will set you behind because kayle is super hungry for levels, but i'm curious if it's really so bad that it's unplayable. people have also recently been playing mages bot, mages top, bruisers mid/bot, etc.. all sorts of weird stuff, which further makes me wonder if kayle bot is viable.
