specifically for jungle. I've been going voltaic first but see more and more people rushing profane. I feel like ambessa's clear is already perfectly fine and tiamat isn't needed, and as far as I'm aware there aren't any special combos or anything with it (but maybe I'm wrong on that part). are the base stats just really good or something?

not a yorick player, and not looking to flame or insult anybody. i just want to ask you guys, what the hell is the point of your character? i've had yorick in my games like 7 times the last few days and every single time it just seems like the most useless champ in the game. i was under the impression yorick is an obnoxious lane bully who wins lane and creates side lane pressure. yet even when running pure lane cheese setups, it seems yorick just loses the lane anyway. they don't wind up scaling later in the game, or being a good team fighter, etc. every single time yorick is picked it seems as though the gameplay loop is just lose lane into clicking minions and dying on repeat for 30 minutes until your nexus explodes.

is yorick just in a shit state right now? is there something im missing? have i just gotten an unlucky biased sample of yorick players? i really don't get what he is meant to do or why he exists.

for context, i'm a vlad otp and started playing vlad bot after seeing elite500 play it a bit. yes mage bot cringe etc etc whatever, that's besides the point. the support players you get paired with in this game genuinely baffle me. i've played my fair share of every role so i understand having a distaste for the jungler as a mid/top player, having a distaste for the adc as a jgl player, etc. but after all my experiences, i can incredibly confidently say support players are just the biggest morons in this game. my support last game had a kd of 4/38 across their last 3 games. 2 games before that i had a sona who went on deafen the second the game started and just stood under tower the entire game and made me play the lane 1v2. there's some top tier griefer like this every 3 or 4 games who just makes your game hell for 0 apparent reason.

yes this is a vent, but i do want to genuinely ask if there is any reason that support players are like this? is there some actual logical reasoning behind it? or are they just this way because why not?

I've been playing for 1.5 years, jungle main the entire time. Until the last week or so, I would absolutely never get filled onto a different role as jungle would always be priority. Now, however, no matter whether I queue adc or mid secondary, I find myself getting put on my secondary role somewhat frequently and jungle also isn't even always a priority role. It's quite annoying because I feel like I'm at a much larger disadvantage being put into a lane as a jungler as opposed to a top laner being thrown to mid, adc being thrown to top, etc.

I guess I have 2 questions: 1. are you guys getting filled as well? For reference I'm emerald/diamond NA mmr. 2. is jungle more popular, or has top lane just become that much less played (as it's now priority over jungle sometimes)?

new to vlad, what do you do into characters like akali, diana, talon, locke, etc? the only assassin matchups i've been able to figure out are zed and fizz. i've tried switching to dft (I don't know if aery is better) + scorch with ignite but even then a lot of these characters are just pure agony to lane against.

In my head I want to ideally just survive the lane and hit my item spikes, but these characters just force me to trade every time I walk up for minions, and I don't know how to play out these trades properly. if I do get a good trade, I probably had to use pool for it, and then I just can't play for the next 20 seconds. I really don't understand how to play against these champs.

I've been playing lol for 2 years and in that time have exclusively played jungle. I started in iron and learned all about the game and climbed to diamond. I got tired of one tricking viego and nothing else in the jungle champ pool interested me, so I made a new account and started learning mid lane.

I've been playing yone and vlad only, and it feels quite frustrating to learn. In jungle role, it feels like the learning progression is very linear. Players don't really punish you until plat/emerald, before that you can make mistakes and still play. Mid lane however (as well as every other lane) doesn't work the same way and is much more polarizing to learn.

The problem I'm running into right now is I will pick one of my champs and I get a bad matchup, say viktor or orianna vs vlad, but the person I'm laning against is completely clueless and just lets me go 10 cs/m and then I get item at 9 minutes and run over the enemy team in 15 minutes. Yet I will play this matchup again against someone who is actually somewhat aware of what they're doing, and it feels like each minion costs me half my health bar, and I really have no clue as to how I'm supposed to farm decently without getting myself killed. When players are aware of your cds/what you champ does, it feels like it's impossible to trade back their poke (goes for both vlad and yone).

My question is really is there any non-agonizing way to learn these matchups, or in a way that is more linear, as with learning jungle? or do I just have to get my teeth kicked in until I eventually figure out what to do?

i've been playing vlad bot over mid and enjoying it much more, just wondering if it's possible to bring kayle down there so i can exclusively queue bot lane. i understand that sharing exp will set you behind because kayle is super hungry for levels, but i'm curious if it's really so bad that it's unplayable. people have also recently been playing mages bot, mages top, bruisers mid/bot, etc.. all sorts of weird stuff, which further makes me wonder if kayle bot is viable.
