Does anyone remember a good couple of years ago there was an Aussie influencer that had heaps of followers with a large platform and was quite popular that went on a podcast and (correct me if I’m wrong) spoke about when she ki**ed her cat as a child cause she swung it by the tail or something?? I agree with her, it’s not talked about and as someone who is going through some similar problems it can be hard to navigate. As a woman it can be isolating having these problems and looking for the closest bathroom every time you enter a building, shop or restaurant isn’t normal! If affects daily decisions eg should I start going back to the gym? No because I don’t want to piss on the floor by accident! And it can affect relationships, being intimate is uncomfortable and not enjoyable!
You look at these influencers and they wish a big fat reality slapped them in the face and this time it has. If you read this Aims thank you for using your platform to normalise this even if your other behaviour can be questionable.

I’ll start by flagging that I don’t know who the woman who made the post is. She doesn’t have that many followers but the post popped up on my feed because it was liked by Lily and Sarah.
While I do have sympathy for small business owners and agree the policies in place need a lot of work BUT the entire list of expenses being complained about in the post has been in place long before the current Labor government.
Also sharpening the collection of debt (that's has been lenient for half a decade) is actually a fiscal approach. Payroll tax is to stop businesses committing wage theft, workers compensation insurance and paying super is to protect your employees who dedicate their time to your business - if you can’t afford these things you can’t run a business sorry. I'd also be having a harder look at the commercial side, such as corporate landlords pillaging their tenants for huge profit and not filling tenancies at decent rates because it affects their commercial value.
Agree there needs a reset, but to blame the current government is wrong - they were handed an absolute mess and to think LNP or ON would do a better job is laughable.
Finally someone like Sarah’s day - who I recall is building a whole other house to use for content or something - agreeing with the sentiment of this post complaining about paying normal business expenses is a bit insulting to actual business owners that are struggling.
Again might be a super unpopular opinion here because a lot of the comments were really supportive but it really rubbed me the wrong way

I am embarrassed for half of these people who spend their entire pay check or worse centrelink money on these tiktokers, and if you are on centrelink spending your money on these tiktokers you should really think twice and say to yourself "can I really afford to be spending my centrelink money on these people", cause if you are on centrelink you can barley keep it together for yourself. Brisbane based cleanfluencer / richfluencer (as in, she’s wealthy independent of any content creation, husband works in private equity, last year went on a trip to Europe that was $100k plus) has some upcoming collab with Sarah’s Day. Leah has a hobby business (Domenica formulations) flogging home products that all smell exactly like Le Labo Santal 33, and according to “hints” this collab is centred around fragrance. Any ideas?? Seems like a very odd pairing.
As an aside, Leah is the SIL of that LA based jewellery brand Real Fine Studio that was recently cancelled on TikTok for commenting on posts of potential customers that didn’t buy her jewellery. lol
