Electrical help for carplay/android auto screen

I got a cheap device, after a more expensive stopped working, this in came with different type wiring and absolutely no instructions, it has a molded fuse with the red wire, it blue in colour, no markings of what spec the fuse is. It is the connected to a glass 3A fuse I believe. I'm confused if I should take it and replace an existing fuse. I've been asking chat gpt and its got me really confused. Is it ok to replace it with the 10A tail. Chat gpt says blue fuse means 15A and I shouldn't. And also I dont think I should use the 15A fan too and definitely not the 15A ICU. Previously I just jammed a wire under the tail fuse. Can someone please help me. I'm losing my mind lol.

Tldr,

How to wire it up the device. Can I just replace an existing fuse with this one.

Hazard lights won't work

I'm working on this car (Wartburg 353 1976 1L), thats been sitting for about 10 years, and I almost have everything running and working, however even tho the turn signals work fine, the hazards don't. (While working on them they started working for about 3 clicks, and I didnt touch any wires for it to start and stop working.)
I would be very greatfull for any advice on what is the problem and how to fix it.
(I have measured some values on the switch and relay, if it would help.)

Fob fail, how do I fix this

Update: battery and connections have been tested and found good. Also checked the fuses related to the remote system and those are also good.

I have a 2017 and in the last few days my fob has not been working in the mornings when I try to remote start, lock or unlock my vehicle, but the door handle will still unlock when I touch it and it will recognize the fob in the vehicle when I start it. It will work later in the day as it properly should.

This morning it would not work at all. I replaced the battery in the fob and still nothing. I had to use the key in the fob to unlock the door and the fob pressed to the button to start the vehicle. After it started it could not recognize the fob was in the car.

What is happening and how do I fix it? Any help would be appreciated

2016 Subaru Forester Fob Issue

I recently had to, for the 3rd time, replace my blower control switch panel(part# 72311SG300). All because this rotary contact plate for the blower switch melts because of Subaru does some weird stuff with their grounding. Anyway, this time I replaced the whole temp control panel with a new contact plate and installed a new pigtail wire hair ess for this exact issue. The harness came from IWire.

now everything is done, fan speeds work fine but my key fob stopped working. I had my battery disconnected during the install. I did remove the negative for over 20mins then reconnect to see if that helps. I've tried turning the key from "lock" to "on" for a set number of times, open and close the door then doing this, and anything else I can gather online. I have no clue what's going on. it's not the batteries. both fobs have new batteries.

my only thought is maybe a pinched wire but my battery isn't draining low while the car isn't being used. then I thought maybe it's some sort of disturbance causing the alarm to trip and not allow the fob to work for protection. I did bundle all the wires with crimps by wrapping them with the cloth sleeve and duct taping it. the crimps have also been heated properly and not have over exposed wire showing.

Spent -$500. help my civic has a battery sign.. I’ve done everything

I really need help. I have a 2012 Honda civic and a few days ago I started getting battery sign issues and my car turned off so I went to get it changed and it worked but then the battery sign kept coming on & I gave a call to my mobile mechanic who was able to jump me coming from work after it died.. I was devastated I need my car to take me, my brother & my homie to work 8 hours shift

I can’t stand car problems. I managed to pay him $500 to change my alternator because it wasn’t charging my battery properly. The one I have on there is already new alternator that I bought 3 months ago. He changed my spark plugs because it needed to get changed badly.

I just got back from work 40 mins ago and turned on my car drove around the block, it was great! Driving fine with no lights on dash. I park and the min I am about to turn off the car.. there it was the battery sign, gave a call to my mechanic and he said he can come and try to re change the alternator? I’m confused why would he even do that

I have spent $500 on a car and I don’t even know what’s wrong with it. I am so desperate and in need of help. Thank you

2014 Chevy Malibu LT — A/C Stuck in ECO Mode After Head Unit Install

Hey everyone! I recently installed a new aftermarket head unit in my 2014 Chevy Malibu LT. Everything is installed correctly and working perfectly, except for one issue: my A/C is stuck in ECO mode.
As you can see in the photo, the A/C icon is green, indicating ECO mode. No matter how many times I press the A/C button, restart the car, or change the CANBUS settings, I cannot get it out of ECO mode.
Everything else on the head unit seems to be functioning normally. The issue only started after installing the new head unit.
Has anyone with a 2014 Malibu experienced this after installing an aftermarket head unit? Is there a specific CANBUS setting, wiring connection, or setting on the head unit that I need to change?
I’d really appreciate any help or suggestions.

urgent: 2014 cr-v, battery not charging even with new (rebuilt) alternator.

2014 cr-v with about 80K miles. Symptoms - occasional clicking-no start condition. Tests done - measured voltage at batt. terminals = 12.4V. With engine running = same 12.45V. Installed new remanuf. alternator and new battery. Tests - with running engine = voltage raises to 14.5V, then drops within a second or two to 13.5V, and steadily (within 5-7 seconds) drops to 12.4V. fuse is good. The ground point is cleaned. the batt. posts and cable terminals were cleaned. Alternator bought from Rockauto.

What could be the problem?

Why do these keep burning out?

This is the second DRL module I’ve replaced in the few years I’ve owned my A3 and it’s the same light each time. Is there something wrong with the light itself?
Any help is appreciated!

Electrical Issues '01 Mercury Grand Marquis LSE

HELP! I'M AT MY WITS END WITH THIS ISSUE. I've had this car 6 months. Everything was perfect. Not even a scratch. I got rear-ended by a 1-ton RAM in April. It smashed the corner of the bumper on the driver's side, and pushed the rear passenger fender into the rear passenger door ever so slightly. This is where the issue started, I believe. The interior dome lamps started flashing on and off and would only momentarily stop when said door was slammed shut. Was trying to fix the issue before it got worse, but eventually the A/C, Clock, key fob, automatic headlamps, and loor locks stopped working. Fuse 23 (15amp) under the dash, blew. I replace, blows again, and again, and so on. Next, I replace it with a 20amp to see if any of it works at all, it does, but it drains the battery, almost sure is what made the alternator go out, and the fuse gets REALLY hot. Since everything works with the 20amp makes me believe the LCM Aok, but the dome lamps are still very dim with the 20amp fuse. They don't flash. I've tried unplugging the door ajar switch, I don't even know what to do at this point. I need the 15amp to work so I don't have to worry about it killing the battery, or causing more electrical issues. This is my third 01 Merc. I know the electrical issues get worse when they start, but I didn't think it would ever get this hellish. I have the cosmetic parts otw, so she'll be back to mint ASAP. How can it fix this fuse blowing, and where should I look for a bad ground or parasitic draw? I got reddit just to post this bc I have no idea where else to go. So be nice, I've never been here B4. I just want a bbg fixed 🫪

Unidentified wires

I own an 1993 Mazda Miata. Anyone have a clue as to what these do to? Everything is properly wired up front and all lights work. It’s only on the left side of the car. There’s nothing like it on the right side.

2001 Dodge Caravan Speedometer

Hey guys, I need some help please. I have a 2001 Dodge Caravan SE 2.4L and my speedometer doesn’t work. The other gauges work fine so I assumed it was just a dead speedometer motor or something so I picked up a used whole instrument cluster up at a junkyard, swapped them out and same problem. So I returned the replacement cluster already then I learned these vans how their own diagnostic test on the cluster so I did it, held down the trip/odometer button on the cluster and the following happened: all of the gauges including the speedometer cycles through their test, all of them worked, speedometer moved through its positions. And the following codes came up
Sof 4.0
100.4
100.5
100.6
E Code End

At this point I’m not sure where to go from this, I’ve been talking to chatGPT even bought the premium because I thought we were close with the multimeter tests but in the end it just acted dumb. I don’t know too much about electrical but we found the 12V female pinhole and 2 grounds on the harness that plugs into the cluster if that helps anybody at all.

Thanks in advance if anybody can help out!

EDIT: Forgot to add that I hooked up an OBD2 and tracked live data while driving and the OBD tool showed my MPH on it.

Thanks!

All warning lights at once

Intermittently all dash warning lights start going crazy. Loss of power steering. Wipers coming on and the inability to shift. Once the lights go away after restarting the vehicle the only light that remains is the transmission light. I’ve also been fighting a stubborn drivers side running tail light that won’t work no matter what I do. Any advice is appreciated

F***

So battery light comes on diagnosed alternator
Alternator changed out
Runs for half a day won't start won't jump.
Told it needed a starter.
Starter put in won't start
Security lockout reset done three times won't start not a noise. Nothing silence.
Shop can't figure it out
I think it's the 50 amp mega fuse, crossing my fingers that when I go to change that tomorrow, that's what it is then it has to have the security lockout reset done again
The shop full of mechanics couldn't figure it out. Check the fuses. Check the relays.
Check the battery. Check the alternator check starter.....

Update ECM was fried😭😭😭

2015 Mitsubishi Challenger Android head unit won’t power on — am I missing something?

Hey everyone, hoping someone with auto electrical or aftermarket head unit experience can point me in the right direction.

I bought an Android replacement screen/head unit from AliExpress for my 2015 Mitsubishi Challenger. I’ve been trying to get it installed for a while but I can’t get the screen to turn on at all.

It came with a vehicle-specific harness and a CANBUS box. The seller is saying the cable they supplied might not be compatible with my car and suggested I take it to an auto electrician.

The part I’m confused about is that I tried to take the car’s wiring out of the equation and power the unit directly using the pinout they gave me.

I connected:

The screen still did absolutely nothing. No logo, backlight, sound or any sign that it was getting power.

I’ve also already had the seller send me a replacement screen and the second one is doing exactly the same thing, which is why I’m starting to wonder if there’s something I’m missing rather than both units being faulty.

The unit does come with a CANBUS box, so could that be the issue? Does the CANBUS box actually need to be connected for one of these units to boot, even if I’m feeding 12V directly to both B+ and ACC?

I’ll upload a video of the test as well as the pinout the seller provided.

Mainly I’m trying to work out whether my direct power test should have been enough to make the unit turn on, or whether these vehicle-specific Android units sometimes need another signal from the CANBUS box before they’ll wake up.

If anyone knows a good way to bench test one of these properly, or what voltages/signals I should check with a multimeter, I’d really appreciate the advice.

Thanks.

2004 ES330 with Nav/ML audio - is there a source of 12 volts in the trunk that's on when in accessory or engine run mode?

2004 ES-330 with Nav/ML audio system.

Looking to find 12 volts switched (off when not running or in accessory) in the trunk to power a small 12 volt fan drawing less than 1/2 amp in the trunk area.

I don't seem to have quite the right schematics, and probing around with a voltmeter found nothing like that.

I was hoping the ML audio system would have one that signaled the main amplifier to turn on, but it seems that it runs on a LAN (kinda crazy for a 2004 car) and gets commands from the head end to turn on and off. The amp has the main high current 12 volt feed there all the time.

Thanks.
