Another one of my low quality videos this time from my channel but to be fair the bird was a bit far off.
In childhood I was watching sparrows every day. But now it's a rare occurrence
While I was busy trying to spot a Spotted Laughingthrush which was giving frequent calls other team members had given up and found this bird while they were busy clicking this beauty my team leader asked me leave that thrush and come here - as luck was on my side the bird was in the open for about 5 seconds and managed to get these frames only then it disappeared deep into the forest !!!
Happened to spot a White throated Kingfisher outside my Window chilling in the rain.
It was a bit far almost 200 metres away , hence digiscoped it through my Monocular and Mobile phone.

This owl looked my way, found nothing interesting and went back to staring at the tree. Should I be upset 😂. - I clicked this cutie in June in western India. This one posed and modeled for about 20 mins.
Sorry for the video & its quality, the bird was being elusive.
Two of these cuties were waiting for the rain when I clicked them. But I couldn’t make out the name of the bird; they are owls for sure. i clicked this picture, in june, in north india
title is post
is there a database ? a website ? or anything? with all birds in india ?
their pictures? scientific and local names ?
colors? wing span? food ? nests shape and size ? what they prefer ?
their voices ? mating song ?
(i know an international site for it https://xeno-canto.org/ )
their migration pattern, if they do?
challenged faced by them in urban cities and villages ?
proposed solution or experiment going on??
or
India, gonna lose all the data of all the birds and we will see them less and less ??
just like sparrows are rare sights now !!! missing them ! and so are vultures ! etc
The recent documentary of a women bringing back "Hargila [ greater adjutant (Leptoptilos dubius) ]" from the edge of extinction in assam was one of the few positive things i saw.
