What Questions Do Interviewers Ask Students For Student Worker Positions?

Hey, Lopes! I have an interview for a job at GCU tomorrow morning, and I’m unsure of what to expect and what the interviewers might ask me. I’m not used to doing interviews, and I want to be prepared to give my best answers!

Summer dining dollars renew?

I’m an on campus summer student and I’m wondering do summer dining dollars renew like normal dining dollars the next semester? or do you just have what you have until the end of the summer year

ELM- 462 and REA-305: Complaint

I'm back to complain about classes again! This time I want to ask why these classes are requiring 10-12 slide presentations WITH a reflection VIDEO for 65 points?! That is 6.5% of my grade for an assignment that will literally take me all day, and it won't even be done very well. I'll probably still get full points though because they don't really seem to care what we turn in as long as it "looks" like it checks all the boxes. I never get to just take a quiz anymore and I'm tired of making these freaking Canva presentations every week! Please commiserate with me!

absn locations

so i've just been told that all the phoenix locations for the absn program are full, and those were my top choices. my counselor is suggesting either i go to tucson or go on the wait list - if not, my projected start date is spring 2027 next year...

i've already finished all my prerequisites, and im just waiting for my final grade for one of my classes. i finished my finals and assignments but my professor won't release final grades until the course has fully ended- which is slightly frustrating.

does anyone have any advice for what to do? i don't want to have to delay my graduation date more than it already has - so should i take the chance and get on the waitlist for a phoenix location (like east valley or sun city), or should i go with tucson?

for those who are currently at the tucson location or have been: how was it, did you like it? what would you say are the pros and cons? what is experience like- would i need a car? how safe is it?

(im coming from california btw)

taking a break

hey there. im an incoming freshman this fall and had a question. My brother is getting married in march, so during the spring semester. Id only be gone a few days but they dont have a specific daye set so i dont know if it will be during the week or not. How hard is it to leave during the middle of a semester and not fall behind? Also i know some classes are mandatory with attendance so is it hard or even possible to get excused?

Course Transfer

Hi, I am an online student one class away from being done with my BSN. My counselor directed me to complete my last class on Study.com to save money. I finished the class, sent my transcripts and now waiting......and waiting.....and more waiting. I can see on the portal that my transcript seems to be in "submitted" status limbo. My student counselor isn't the greatest resources for me she tends to be on vacation, responds super slow or just sends generic responses (she is currently on vacation for the next week and a half).

My question is if anyone has any experience with transferring in a course with Study.com and a timeline for it to be processed. The last time I transferred something in they made me do it all through the mail so it took forever. I was just hoping it would be a bit quicker with it being done through Parchment. Any help would be super appreciated for this anxious human who just needs this last class to apply for a job :(

NSG 322 & 320 Exam Tips?

Any tips for exam 3 on both? I know 320 exam 3 is the hardest and has the most content. But those who passed these exams already from before, how did you study? I made 1-page sheets for each disease with their patho, s/s, nursing interventions, meds, labs, etc. The same for psych but I have therapeutic milieu & communication. Just wondering if anyone has any other ways to study and what to focus on for both. TYIA!!!

What is Chapel like as a course?

I am taking an online elective class which only counts for 3 credits, leaving me with one more credit I need to take. I know Chapel is an option, so what is it like when taking it as a class? Also, how many days of Chapel can you miss to get the credit because I know for certain that I will need to miss 3 services.
This is an open question to anyone, but for more context, I am not Christian. I’ve heard there’s questions or something at the end of the service if you take it for credit, so do you think they can be answered from a non-Christian perspective? Should I just pretend to be Christian for the credit?

online class discussion posts

My online course says “post at least two contributions per day on three different days”. I’m interpreting this as 6 total responses on 1 DQ post, right? Does anyone have a good schedule going for when to respond to the DQ/reply to classmates. It’s the typical DQ 1 due on wednesday DQ 2 due on friday. Thanks!!
