How do Independents really feel about Mandated Voter ID?
We have Mandated ID for a lot of Official Issues so why not a Mandated Voter ID?

“I’m excited to apply my skills and passion to further grow the American Solidarity Party,” Koroknay-Palicz said in the announcement. “I believe this party can be a force for positive change in this nation and disrupt the corrupt two-party system. The two old parties have never been as unpopular as they are today, and we have a great opportunity to mobilize voters more concerned with the common good than by partisan bickering.”
So political campaigns can spend unlimited amounts of money to (try to) get their candidates elected. But, do 24/7 TV ads, etc. REALLY change anybody's mind one way or the other? A Republican could saturate my media market and I'd STILL choose to vote for a Democrat. Unless outright cheating is involved (e.g. Musk infiltrating voting processes somehow), are people really that gullible as to see a bunch of ads and go "Huh. That guy must be really good since he has so many ads."
Shocking no one, a grim new report from San Francisco’s civil grand jury concludes that insanely expensive local spending on homelessness is being wasted on failed programs and ineffective nonprofit groups.
“San Francisco spends roughly $700 million annually on homelessness, and its Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (‘HSH’) administers nearly $500 million on nonprofit contracts to deliver services each year, yet this system has gaps that jeopardize safety, accountability, and results,” the report says.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued a major ruling on money in elections. By a vote of 6-3, the justices struck down a federal law that limited the amount of money that political parties can spend in coordination with a candidate for office. The majority opinion, written by Justice Brett Kavanaugh, agreed with the challengers that the coordinated expenditure limits violate the First Amendment.
USA has to start voting for issues and not the candidate with the most money!
I picked this up from a podcast and it’s my new way of thinking. I want to hear what others have to say about this.
The U.S. Department of Education may no longer be able to fully support students, it says in an internal report that lays bare the full extent of the Trump Administration’s first round of government cuts.
RTO hurts my family more than any other policy by any party. For this reason I am unregistering as a Democrat and declaring no party affiliation. Newsom has lost my support at all levels. Not saying this is what you should do but that’s how I feel and I am unapologetic. I’m also planning to bring my lunch every single damn day. I am not your stimulus package.
There are plenty to choose from…
I'm a former Head Start teacher who wrote a book about Sesame Street. For 75 years we've known what kids 2-5 need to thrive, and yet we deny these things to millions of them. At the same time, we decry that kids can't read by the time they reach third grade. Why don't we make that connection?
A new ban on Glock handguns takes effect in California, starting July 1. The law will, once again, remind Americans why California has become the ultimate legislative laboratory for aggressive gun control.
For people who believe we need more independents in governement there may be an opening in South Dakota. I read about Brian Bengs earlier and was impressed. I just checked back today and see he is actually polling close to the incumbent. Even as a Democrat from Pennsylvania, I have donated to his campaign. We need to get INDEPENDENT, centrist, folks in Government. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_United_States_Senate_election_in_South_Dakota
Personally, I think we should all be considering this
Who are we comparing these people to? From what I have seen there's a lot of back and forth "they're worse than us" but not alot of people are willing to admit when comparing the two we're comparing politicians that are often funded by the same people. I find it funny that not long ago the tech bros were heavily backing democrats and getting alot of nice perks from that relationship, I'm sure. Now, they back Republicans and once again the rewards are quite nice. There are so many similarities between the two parties that it literally comes down to how much each side riles up their mobs. How many tales can be spun? How much can they distract from how horrible they both are? I think people have become so complacent in accepting this garbage or have just given up on the political system that it's pointless to give polls. The reality is many of us have grown tired of the two party system and we're especially tired of hearing about it from both when many of us want nothing to do with either.
A new SurveyUSA poll finds overwhelming majorities of DC voters say ranked choice voting was easy, support using it, and want independents included in taxpayer-funded primaries.
