Struggling to clear the first round of placement drives?

I built a 100% invisible AI overlay that runs undetected over DoSelect, SEB, Mettl, and Lockdown Browsers.

How does it give you an unfair advantage? ⚡ Built-in Stealth Browser: Open ChatGPT or any AI directly inside the invisible overlay without getting caught. ⚡ Lightning Speed: Integrated with Groq API and Gemini 2.5 Flash for instant answers. ⚡ Zero cursor movement.

It’s a 100% invisible hardware overlay that reads your screen and solves aptitude/coding exams in milliseconds.

Software Engineer — Need career advice

I’m currently working as a Software Engineer in a service-based company.

The confusing part is that my company itself trained me in Java Full Stack Development for months — Core Java, Spring Boot, SQL, REST APIs, Angular, etc. I worked hard during training and built strong interest in backend/full-stack development.

But after project allocation, most of my current work is related to testing/QA, not development.

I respect testing as a role, but honestly, it’s not the career path I want.

I’m worried that spending too much time in non-development work might slow down my growth and make switching to developer roles harder later.

Has anyone faced something similar?

- Should I push for an internal project switch?

- Will 1 year in testing hurt my chances for dev roles?

- How do I keep my developer profile strong while doing non-dev work?

Would appreciate honest advice from people who’ve been through this.

The 2026 batch got cursed three times.

10th grade. Covid hit. School vanished.

B.Tech started. AI exploded. Syllabus died overnight.

Final year. Placements began. Then drives got cancelled.

Not delayed. Cancelled. After rounds. After hope.

One friend cleared 4 rounds. Offer letter pending. Drive scrapped.

Another got "role paused" email night before joining.

No batch gets hit three times straight. We did.

Covid took our base. AI took our roadmap. Hiring freeze took our finish line.

If you're 2026 batch, you're not weak. You're unlucky. Historically unlucky.

Still applying. Still building. Still here.

Need some career advice. Feeling stuck after graduation despite having a TCS Digital offer.

Hi everyone,

I'm from Hyderabad and graduated in 2025 from a tier-3 college with a CGPA of 6.8. I focused more on building AI/ML projects than maintaining a high CGPA, but unfortunately my college placements were poor, and I couldn't secure a job through campus.

After graduation, I tried off-campus opportunities. I also received an AI Engineer internship + full-time offer from a startup, but I decided not to join because the stipend was very low and I wanted to prepare for GATE instead.

I appeared for both GATE CSE and GATE DA. DA was my first preference. I managed to qualify but didn't get a rank that would get me into a good institute, so I started applying for jobs again.

Fortunately, I cleared TCS NQT and got selected for the TCS Digital role (7 LPA). I received my offer letter on 9th April and completed the joining readiness survey on 16th April, selecting "Immediately Available."

The problem is that I'm still waiting for my joining letter. It's been almost 3 months since my offer letter. TCS has repeatedly confirmed over email that my offer is valid and that I will receive a joining letter, but they say it's based on business requirements and cannot provide a timeline.

Meanwhile, many candidates who received offer letters before me, around the same time, and even after me have already joined. There doesn't seem to be a fixed order for onboarding.

What worries me most is the growing career gap. It's been over a year since I graduated, I don't have internship experience, and now 2026 graduates have also entered the job market. I've continued applying for jobs, but as a fresher, I haven't been able to find opportunities that match my skills or even come close to the TCS Digital package.

I do have several AI/ML projects, prepared for GATE, and have continued learning during this period, but I'm still concerned about how interviewers will view this gap.

I'm also confused about whether I should accept an internship or a lower-paying job in the meantime. The challenge is that once TCS issues the joining letter, candidates are generally expected to join within about 15 days. If I join another company or internship and then request a reschedule from TCS, there is reportedly only one rescheduling option, and I have no idea when the next joining date would be. Because of this uncertainty, I'm afraid of making the wrong decision.

At this point, I genuinely don't know what the best choice is.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation?
What would you do if you were in my position?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

Nobody told me to look here.

Not trying to motivate anyone or anything, just sharing because I was genuinely convinced I was cooked.

Graduated a few months back. No internships, no fancy skills, no referrals. Every job post wanted "experience," and every rejection started feeling personal. After a while I just stopped applying because it felt pointless.

One day I was ranting to a friend and he asked me, "Why are you only applying on the same big apps everyone uses?"

I didn't even have an answer.

He told me there are smaller job apps that mostly focus on blue and grey-collar roles instead of trying to be everything for everyone. I was honestly skeptical because I'd never even heard of them.

Downloaded a couple anyway.

The weird part? I actually started getting calls. Not hundreds, but enough to realize companies were actually seeing my profile. Within a week or so I had interviews lined up, and I ended up accepting an entry-level job.

It wasn't some crazy ₹12 LPA dream job or a LinkedIn success story with "never give up" at the end. Just... a normal job that got me out of sitting at home refreshing job portals all day.

Looking back, I think my biggest mistake was assuming every opportunity is on the biggest platforms. Sometimes the smaller, niche ones have way less competition and are actually built for the kind of jobs freshers can realistically get.

Anyone else had a similar experience with lesser-known job apps? Curious if I just got lucky or if more people have noticed this.

I often see people missing government job opportunities simply because they don't know where to look or they find out too late. I'm working on a project called sarkariwebsite.com and wanted to understand the biggest pain points aspirants face.

A few questions:

• How do you currently track govt job notifications?
• What's the most frustrating part of the process?
• Have you ever missed an application deadline?
• What feature would make your life easier?

Thinking about features like:

✓ Eligibility checker
✓ Deadline alerts
✓ State-wise filters
✓ Vacancy tracker
✓ Scholarship updates

Would appreciate honest feedback from the community.

Looking for an Sales/BDR referral. If your referral gets me hired, I'll make sure your kindness comes back to you.

Hi everyone!

I'm currently looking for an SDR / BDR / Inside Sales opportunity and thought I'd ask the amazing Reddit community for a little help.

A bit about me:

  • MBA in Marketing
  • 1.5+ years of B2B Sales & Business Development experience
  • Experienced in cold calling, prospecting, CRM management, lead qualification, consultative selling, and working with senior decision-makers
  • Immediate joiner
  • Clients worked : USA, India
  • Open to opportunities across India (preferred: Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai) and Remote.

If you think I'd be a good fit at your company, I'd genuinely appreciate a referral.

And because I know referrals aren't just a click, they're what someone putting their reputation behind a stranger I don't want to take that for granted.

If your referral leads to me getting hired, I'd love to thank you properly. Whether that's a meaningful gift, treating you to coffee or dinner if we're nearby, or donating the same amount to a charity of your choice if you'd rather not accept anything personally I'll make sure your kindness is remembered.

If you're open to helping, just drop a comment or send me a DM. I'll happily share my resume, LinkedIn, or anything else you'd like to see.

Thank you! ❤️

'Hexa Solutions' - one of the few fresher-friendly companies that actually helped

I randomly got a WhatsApp message and an email from Hexa Solutions regarding a Data Analyst opportunity. At first, I was a bit doubtful because I didn't even remember applying there..

They invited me to join an online session so i attended just to see what it was about. During the session, they explained their work, the role, and the kind of projects they handle. Everything was quite clear and professional.
They mentioned that the program is mainly for recent graduates and freshers who need practical industry exposure before stepping into full-time roles. They also explained how the internship and training process works and what skills would be covered.

What I liked was that they were transparent about the entire process from the beginning and also the fees. fees part is needed i feel for the value they are providing. As someone who was struggling to get opportunities due to a lack of experience, the session actually gave me a better understanding of how to bridge the gap between college and industry requirements.
Overall, it felt like a useful opportunity for freshers.
