Exploring Indian by commonwealth bank

A. Breach of ASX Corporate Governance & Internal Codes
As an ASX-listed entity, CBA is bound by strict corporate governance principles.
The Argument: CBA publicly commits to global standards of workplace culture, diversity, and ethical behavior. A consistently abysmal rating (2.7) in a major offshore hub suggests a systemic failure by the Australian management to oversee their global culture.
Actionable framing: Frame this as a failure of risk management and board oversight regarding human capital and operational risk.

B. Australian Whistleblower Protection Laws (Corporations Act 2001)
If the low ratings are due to systemic fraud, illegal activities, or serious misconduct (rather than just bad management or low pay), Australian whistleblower laws might apply.
The Law: Under Part 9.4AAA of the Corporations Act 2001, an "eligible whistleblower" can make a protected disclosure about misconduct within an Australian corporation or its subsidiari

Modern Slavery and Supply Chain Transparency
Australia has a strict Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).
While a 2.7 rating usually indicates poor workplace culture or management rather than "modern slavery" (which covers forced labor and human trafficking), Australian companies are legally required to publish an annual Modern Slavery Statement detailing how they mitigate exploitation risks in their global operations and supply chains.

Deloitte USI BTA vs TCS Digital for a CSE fresher interested in dev roles

Need honest career advice: Deloitte USI BTA vs TCS Digital (CSE fresher) 🙏

I’m a CSE graduate deciding between 2 offers and would really appreciate honest advice from people working in these roles.

Offer 1: Deloitte USI - Business Technology Analyst (BTA) - 7.6 LPA

Team mention: USI Tax.

Location: Hyd (No relocation needed)

What’s making me anxious is the interview experience...

Both my technical round and managerial round were mostly non-technical:

  • business situational/behavioral questions
  • asked for brief project explanation
  • asked to think of a business idea and explain it to a client without technical jargon

Very little hardcore technical discussion.

Then I checked my interviewers’ LinkedIn profiles only to realize that all (from other panels as well) had started as SAP consultants 😭and are now managers & senior managers at Deloitte.

This really has me worried that I might get pushed into SAP .

I'm not really aware of SAP opportunities but am highly worried that it might be too irrelevant to my BTech degree .😭

I know that it has technical and functional sides, but my concerns:

- It might narrow down my experience or field to just SAP and hence the opportunities. I would not have much to put on my resume unlike other tech roles.( Getting locked into one ecosystem too early)

- I wont have much to learn. In SAP, only ABAP has coding. **No offense to anyone into SAP🥲

- Worst part is getting into functional. I'd rather leave😭🤧( totally non-tech)

Also, I might go for MTech / higher studies after 1–2 years (not fully sure yet), so I don’t want to end up in a role that doesn’t help my technical profile.

Offer 2: TCS Digital - 7.09LPA.

Location: Not confirmed( Likely relocation)

I honestly know much less about what freshers actually get here

What I keep hearing: -

“Deloitte is better, go for it. It's difficult to get in there and you got it😑

“TCS growth is slow”

“TCS could also give you SAP. How could you be sure?”

But I’m wondering if people are just reacting to the Deloitte brand 🤷‍♀️

My actual dilemma:😩

Deloitte: What if I assume SAP / non-dev and reject it… but they might’ve actually given me an SE / technical role? (I’ve seen seniors from my college, placed similarly through campus, later getting software engineering roles.)

TCS: What if I choose it assuming better dev chances....and still end up in SAP / support / non-dev work there?

Questions:

  1. How likely is Deloitte BTA (USI Tax) to lead into SAP / non-dev work?
  2. If someone wants backend / dev / SE roles, is Deloitte BTA a risky choice?
  3. What does TCS Digital actually look like for freshers? Do people genuinely get development work?
  4. Which option keeps switching opportunities stronger later (product companies / higher studies / dev roles)?
  5. If you were a CSE fresher, what would you choose?
  6. Genuine question: Is SAP actually a solid long-term career path in terms of pay, growth, and opportunities?

I know it’s in demand, but I’d love to hear from people in SAP - does it offer career growth and exit opportunities comparable to mainstream dev roles, or does it get too niche over time? 🥲

Please especially reply if you’ve worked in Deloitte USI / TCS Digital / SAP 🙏

Fresher looking for Job/referral in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai

Hi everyone,

I am currently staying in Hyderabad in a PG hostel while searching for job opportunities. I graduated in June 2025 with a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. It has already been more than 8 months since I started staying here for job searching. For the past several months, every single day I have been applying to multiple openings on LinkedIn, Indeed, and Naukri, but I still haven’t received a proper opportunity to start my career. Financially, things are also becoming very difficult for me while continuing to stay here for job searching. I have also reached out to many people requesting referrals or openings, but most of the time my messages are not even seen. It feels very discouraging, but I am still trying because I genuinely want to work and build my career. Honestly, it feels like my career is nearing towards an end without even properly starting, and that thought is becoming harder to handle day by day.

I have a strong foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms and have solved problems on LeetCode. My technical skills include Java, C#, .NET, Python, SQL, HTML, and CSS. I’m completely okay with starting on a lower salary if it gives me an opportunity to begin my career and prove myself through my work. I’m also ready to work in startups, even with lower salaries, if I get a genuine opportunity to learn and grow.

I am humbly requesting help. If anyone has fresher openings in their company or can refer me, it would truly mean a lot to me. Even a small response, guidance, or lead would really help me at this stage. Please help me. I’m literally begging for an opportunity to start my career.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Internship Opportunity | Market Research & GTM | Remote

Hello everyone,

We are looking to onboard 1–2 interns for a short-term Market Research & GTM Strategy internship. We are aiming to finalize the role by 20th May.

About the Startup

We are an early-stage startup currently evaluating new product and go-to-market opportunities across select sectors in India. The project is being backed and reviewed by an active investor, and the research output will help shape decisions around potential new launches and investment opportunities.

This is a good opportunity for someone who wants hands-on exposure to how early-stage business ideas are evaluated before entering the market.

About the Internship

The internship will involve researching and evaluating potential GTM opportunities across different sectors, geographies, and customer segments. The goal is to identify attractive opportunities, validate them at a high level, and convert the findings into concise business profiles.

This would be a strong fit for someone interested in startups, consulting, market research, retail, consumer businesses, or strategy.

Key Responsibilities

You will work on:

  1. Conducting secondary market research based on specific geographies, product categories, customer segments, and business goals.
  2. Doing high-level primary research where required to validate assumptions and build an initial point of view.
  3. Creating short 2–3 page PowerPoint profiles for each GTM opportunity.
  4. Supporting basic Excel-based analysis, market sizing, competitor benchmarking, and opportunity mapping.
  5. Presenting findings in a clear, structured, and decision-ready format.

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is best suited for college students, preferably in their 1st or 2nd year, who want early exposure to startup strategy and consulting-style work.

Basic requirements:

  1. Comfort with PowerPoint and basic Excel.
  2. Interest in startups, consulting, retail, market research, or GTM strategy.
  3. Ability to work independently after initial guidance.
  4. Willingness to learn, take feedback, and adapt quickly.
  5. Basic understanding of retail or consumer businesses would be a plus.

Duration & Working Style

The internship will be for 1 month initially, with a possibility of extension by another month depending on performance and project requirements.

In the first week, we will have structured check-ins every alternate day for around 1–1.5 hours to align on the approach, expectations, and output format. From the second week onward, the work will be more independent, with check-ins as needed, typically once or twice a week.

We are ideally looking for someone who can take ownership, work independently, and deliver structured outputs without needing constant handholding.

Stipend & Certificate

This is primarily a learning-focused internship. There is no fixed monthly stipend during the first month. However, there will be a performance-based payout of INR 1,000 per successfully completed GTM opportunity profile.

An internship certificate will be provided upon successful completion of the internship.

How to Apply

Interested students can fill out this Google Form - https://forms.gle/j8U2HhAc6ykzY2MG6

Hexa Solutions Acceptance Mail Update

I applied for a Data Analytics internship opportunity at Hexa Solutions recently and yesterday I got an acceptance mail, but there are not many followup details yet.

The mail mentioned that further updates regarding training, projects, mentorship and internship process will be shared later but right now there’s no new update on the portal so I’m a little confused about how their process usually works.

I did check some student reviews, their opportunity page and testimonials before applying and most people were talking positively about the mentorship, project work and interview preparation support, which is why I’m hopeful about it.

I’m still new to all this internship and hiring process stuff, so I wanted to know if anyone here has any experience with Hexa Solutions’ internship/training process.

Do they usually share the next steps after some days? And how was your experience overall with their training, projects and placement guidance?

Why does getting shortlisted feel impossible without referrals?

I’ve been actively looking for jobs through LinkedIn and Naukri Campus for the past few months, mainly for roles in Marketing or Business Analyst domains.

I’ve received invites or interest from companies like DBS Bank, Franklin Templeton, Aditya Birla, etc. through Naukri Campus, and I applied to those opportunities, but most of them never moved ahead after the application stage. No updates, no interviews, nothing.

On LinkedIn especially, it honestly feels like many openings are either already filled internally or eventually go to someone through referrals. I don’t really have a strong referral network, and that’s where I feel stuck.

I’m trying to understand:

  • How do freshers actually get noticed by recruiters or HRs?
  • Is there something I’m missing in terms of profile, resume, outreach, or strategy?
  • Do companies genuinely hire through open applications anymore?
  • How can someone without strong connections improve their chances?

Please don’t suggest “just do an MBA now” — that’s already part of my long-term plan, but I want meaningful work experience first.
