The Core of the Blighted Forest
So uh, first creation on Inkarnate, this is from a joint worldbuilding project with my friends, specifically the region I'm in charge of, the Blighted Forest.

It's my first map! Use if you'd like. Three temples for the three major gods of Gale. This is town of Santur, on the island of Bayati.

Originally, I could export a map in 2k for free. Now, it seems it requires the subscription, even though it isn't listed when you go to try and do so. Did they change this, or is it a bug that I just need to be patient about?
To specify, I don't use the site regularly, nor for business. So paying for a subscription would be a useless suggestion.
Evidence of said bug/"new feature".
The region of Æskerweth is home to three nations, "holy kingdom of Callueson", "free nation of Askerun" and the "jarldom of Dyrfold". It takes place during a religious war between Callueson and Dyrfold, causing the midpoint of the region to be a hostile area.
Hey everyone, I’ve been working on this world map for Arel, the setting of my tabletop RPG. I’d love to read your feedback :-)
I know there are a few Tussoa maps floating around, but I thought I'd share a more detailed one I made for a homebrew campaign I've been working on. I followed the in-book details as best I could while still making the city fit my campaign. I hope this is helpful for anyone else who wishes to use it! Have fun! <3

Using the free version, so I'm sorry the quality isn't the best Q-Q
I'm super duper happy with the map. Looking for feedback on anything that feels off. Thoughts on the names of continents and bodies of water etc. If you wanna ask questions about things feel free. I've had so much fun revamping my old world map. I used Inkarnate for the map. The Adriana Ocean is larger than the map shows, just reached the canvas size limit lmao. Okay thanks xoxo
First map!
Still filling out a couple of the areas. Will have different versions - This one with the travel routes, there will be another with regions... Thoughts?
The thing that has always made Inkarnate special has been its collaborative foundation. There are plenty of other map making tools that have no sharing function, and can replicate much of what Inkarnate can do. The Explore tab used to be more than a gallery, it was a place where map makers and DMs/GMs could find maps that are close, clone them and modify them to fit their needs - assuming they lacked the skill to create impressive maps in the first place.
Inkarnate has shifted away from its foundation, though. As a result, many have returned to the old way of Googling the maps that they need, because it provides a much larger selection and an increased likelihood of finding a fitting map. The problem I am talking about is Patreon. It is completely understandable that people want to monetize their work, but the result is that a large majority of the explore tab is no longer usable, or adaptable. Instead, it has become a place for Patreon promotions.
I strongly believe Inkarnate would benefit greatly, and reclaim many of its lost subscribers, if ALL published maps were cloneable. Creators can still freely mark their work and promote their websites, but users could still adjust those maps for their specific needs - which again, is the heart of what made Inkarnate so collaborative and popular in the first place.
I am not asking to limit creators; if custom assets are used, those will obviously be lost upon cloning, and sure, a creator can make the entire map a custom asset so that it is effectively not cloneable, but that really comes down to a question of character I suppose.
If all maps were cloneable, those of us who have been driven away from Inkarnate (I stay because I too make maps for others) would return because it would once again be the best place for TTRPG maps. Unfortunately, due to the influx of Patreon promotions and non-cloneable (paywalled, effectively) maps, that crown has returned to Google Images.
- For the record, I see absolutely nothing wrong with promoting Patreon. I just believe that Inkarnate is going to fall by the wayside due to lost subscribers for this very reason. If you want to promote, and do not want people cloning a map that you made, simply due not publish it on Inkarnate. Instead, come here, and post your map instead - or one of the many other TTRPG battlemap/worldmap subreddits, which have far more viewers than the Explore tab of Inkarnate anyway.
Why is the rum gone? Probably because all that sweet nectar was consumed while this mad, floating folly was patched together! Anchored to surrounding pillars, it's doubtful that this wacky pirate base could ever sail - it seems miraculous that it can even float. With its multiple platforms, bar, tables, grill, slide, and preserved aquatic megafauna, it's fun, though, and what are pirates about if not fun? Available in two additional variants, with the wacky base floating at night under a blood moon, and "accidentally" on fire, this map will remind your players what piracy is all about: good times with friends!
My maps are hooked up to work with Foundry VTT and Fantasy Grounds.
My maps are available on my patreon and my website.
Buy me a coffee!
Figured I'd try the new Forest 2.0 early access assets for the Weekly Prompt: Blood Ritual this week.

Happy map making everyone!
New to Inkarnate, on IOS. I’m assuming the Brush option in the Shape Tool menu works like the normal brush tool, but able to utilise stroke outlines, fillings and such? If correct, how do I use it properly? Brushing any shapes just makes one or two squares, circles and ovals, often not even appearing in the target area. If I’m incorrect and it’s actually for a different purpose, is there a different way I can brush areas outlined and filled automatically into existence? Having to outline 3/4 sides of a long shape using Free Draw is a bit annoying. Thanks
