The Lifts down into the slag vaults have not been used in a long time. The mining got too deep and the updrafts too strong to move anything reliably. Now they just swing uselessly above the burning pits.

For this map I wanted to develop a set piece encounter for some serious swashbuckling. Setting a scene where the players can duel heroically while the environment shifts under their feet. I actually can't wait to run this one myself, I think it’d be a hit, seeing how the players use the swinging of the lifts to their advantage. Knowing players will most likely want to slice the ropes, I also included a version with just the background and PNG tokens for the lifts to allow for that!

The Fangs serve as an impassable barrier made up of needling sandstorms and dangerous jagged mesas. Only a fool would try to cross, If the sand doesn't shred you the creatures burrowing below surely will.
