It's rough out here boys. I feel like I'm destined to just go 3x+ dry at every grind and progress is so slow.

Some notable grinds and dry streaks:

• 1795 KC for bowfa (4.5x dry)
• 1382 deep delves & 4k total delves for conflictions (4x dry)
• 1719 KC for prims (3.5x dry)
• 13k KC for DWH (4x dry)
• 2273 KC for blowpipe (4x dry)
• 1032 KC for rupture (3x dry)
• 2331 KC for burning claws (4x dry)
• 1187 KC at Leviathan for 0 gold rings
• 521 KC solo Yama with 0 uniques (4x+ dry) [Current grind]

I'm cherry picking the worst, there have been a few spoons but these dry streaks far outweigh them.

I think I just have a terrible account seed.

Oh well, just wanted to vent, back to grinding!

Now that the Abyssal lantern effects function outside of GOTR what logs will you be using for various RC activities?

I’m thinking:
- Blister for Zeah bloods (20% extra bloods)
- Magics for everything else (10% extra runes)

I can’t see redwoods being BIS other than if you’re wanting a more afk experience. ZMI already needs lunars so the redwood effect doesn’t have much use.

For those looking to stack fine fish offcuts for hunter/herblore a combination of the recent sweep-up updates make it fast and afk.

It is now very easy to quickly stack up large amounts of shark lure from aerial fishing and then use them up on the sailing shark fishing spot that never moves north of karamja. You can stay there indefinitely just cutting the sharks on your raft.

It is a fairly fast alternative to deep sea trawling for ironmen who have not setup a boat for the purpose (which you definitely should) or those who would rather spend their trawling time to keep the more useful fish.

For those unaware sailing has created a very consistent way to train herblore on an ironman without having to farm seed/herb drops or doing endless farming contracts through armadyl brews. Both the "herb" and secondary for the potion can be gathered consistenty.

Umbral frags for growing coral are gathered from thieving Reinforced Chests which can be spam clicked to stack them up easily. The bottleneck for rainbow crabs for me has been fine fish offcuts which are somewhat slow or high intensity to gather.

Edit: discussion has brought up the idea of putting a chum station on the raft as cutting the sharks with a knife is rather slow.

Just wondering because there are a good amount of options. I know you want to get the GOTR uniques, so I’m mostly referring to after you do your time there.

What was your post-GOTR RC route?

Looking to grind out chinchompas for ranged xp and it’s looking like I’ll need to catch 10k+ for a decent range level

What is the strategy yall have been using to catch this amount or more?

EDIT: So I’ve been catching red chinchompas to train up for corrupted gauntlet. From the feedback, I think I’ll try and get piety and do the halberd/staff route. Thanks for the replies and good luck out there gamers

I just found out about coral recently and a clannie told me that it's "OP" and to "take advantage before it's nerfed".

So I spent an hour thieving chests and managed to get 40 frags. I spent the next 8 days farming those frags and yielded around 700 pillar coral.

Then I found out I needed to hunt crabs for secondaries, no problem. But first I needed fishing offcuts to hunt the crabs so I spent 30 minutes buying Herring from the tempoross shop, then built a chum station on my boat, sailed out to the middle of the ocean, spent 30 mins turning them into offcuts, then went to summer shore, hunted crabs for an hour and a half.

And only then was I able to actually make my potions for 100k herb xp. It took me 8 days and 5+ hours just to get 100k herb xp. And this method was supposed to be busted? What the hell.

edit: so apparently the mega-nerds on this subreddit can't comprehend someone not having 99 farming lmao. I understand the nerf for yield now, but the drop rate nerf for Pillar frags was still unnecessary given the arduous processing required to actually turn it into a potion.

So yew birdhouse XP got hit by 40%. I'm at 75 Hunter on an ironman and birdhouses have basically been my entire Hunter training method up to this point.

We still doing Birdhouses or is their a better method now?
