Advise

Hey guy

I’m about to start my LL.B. and I’m planning to prepare for the Judiciary. I would love to get some advice from people who are already preparing or have experience in this field.

What are the biggest mistakes that beginners usually make in Judiciary preparation and should avoid?

Also, what should I focus on the most from the very beginning of law school? Any tips regarding subjects, bare acts, note-making, answer writing, current affairs, or overall strategy would be really helpful.

Rajasthan APO application form doubt

I am filling my father's name in Hindi for OTR verification yet it keeps on saying only Hindi Alphabets are allowed. I tried multiple times and I'm writing in Hindi, that space won't accept english alphabets anyway. Yet it is not accepting. What to do?

Law professor job in India

Hello guys! I am a 2023 law graduate. After my graduation I was preparing for judiciary and I didn't join litigation. I have had a few good internships with High Court Judges and senior advocates, however, I didn't join litigation. I came back to my hometown and started preparing for the judicial services exam. I knew competitive exams in India are unpredictable, so, I attempted clat pg and completed my llm from HNLU (2025-2026). So, there was a break in my career from August 2023 to August 2025. Now, I'm preparing for the ugc net and writing a few papers for publication. Will I be able to get a job as an assistant professor even at a private University after cracking NET and with a few publications and with my llm from an NLU? I'm really stressed about everything as I do not want to stay unemployed any further. I am also preparing for ibps or sebi exams so should I join litigation? I'm afraid no one would hire me in litigation given I have no post qualification experience. What should I do? Should I have faith that academia will work out after I clear NET this December? Please guide.

Selected as Law Officer in a PSU

Being from a tier 3 college, I was unsure about which path to take and went on to take these Young Profesional (legal) roles in ministry.

Somehow in my first interview itself I got selected for a psu which had literally 1 vacancy. While the job pays well, I am worried about posting and career mobility, say if 3 years down the line I want to switch in house would I even have the option?(Especially in case of bad posting).

Update 1: sorry for being unclear. I am a YP currently. But I gave an exam for a law officer in an PSU and got selected now as a law officer, will be posted soon.

Is it even necessary & beneficial to register as member in any HC or DC BAR ASSOCIATION wrt getting exp certificate needed for law officer jobs in govt deptts, banks, PSUs, judiciary etc ? (Plz I want real genuine advice & plz dont ignore my post)

Like what actual are benefits of regn as Association member wrt getting exp certificate for applying for legal sector govt jobs or judiciary etc ? As tbh ig exp cert can be issued by any Senior Adv or Bar Council member or Distt judge only & no role of Bar Association?

Like will it be waste of money as i don't want to practice in courts so will not membership fees & monthly fees of Association be unnecessary expenditure for me?

Confused between IBPS SO and Rajasthan APO

As both the exams are going to be conducted in 2 months I'm confused on which to focus more. I will need to study from the beginning for both and as IBPS SO has included professional knowelege in prelims it would take time to study for that. Please give your opinion and advice.

From Judiciary Prep to Supreme Court Clerkship, Litigation, and now SEBI: A Free Interactive Session for Legal Aspirants

Hi everyone,

I’m happy to share that I have recently been selected for the SEBI Grade A (Legal) position. As I prepare to begin my training next month, I want to take this opportunity to give back to the community that supported me during my own preparation journey.

_Why this role matters:_ Being a Legal Officer at SEBI is a powerful career move if you want to be where the action is. You’re not just analyzing law; you’re directly shaping how India’s markets function and holding major players accountable. It’s a rare mix of corporate law and investigative work that offers immense professional influence, job security, and the chance to protect everyday investors on a national scale.

_My Journey:_

My path has been a blend of various roles in the legal field:

2021: Registered with the Bar Council.

Judiciary Prep: After dedicating a year to the judiciary, I missed the DJS cutoff by just three marks. Beyond that, I have appeared for over 10 Mains examinations across various states. This rigorous journey has given me a deep, practical grasp of the law and the perspective needed to effectively guide and mentor students through their own preparations.

Supreme Court Clerkship: Served as a Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate at the Supreme Court of India.

Litigation: Practiced in the Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court while working in an AOR office, simultaneously preparing for the SEBI exam (taking only 20 days of leave for my final exams).

I understand the struggle of balancing a demanding legal career with the intensity of competitive exams. I have successfully navigated the Supreme Court Clerkship exams, Judicial Services (Prelims and Mains), and now the SEBI Grade A process.

_The Plan:_

I believe that in the age of AI, everyone has access to information, what you truly need is the right guidance and support.

I am planning to host a free, open-access interactive session to share my exact strategy and resources. If you are actively preparing for the Judiciary, APP exams, Supreme Court Clerkship, or are looking to pivot your career toward SEBI, this session is for you.

Note on Cost: This session and the interaction video are completely free of cost. I want to help as many serious aspirants as possible. If, after attending, you find the session helpful and feel you need more structured assistance, I am open to curating a personalized course that provides tailored guidance and individual feedback to help you achieve your goals.

_How to join:_

If you are interested in joining this interaction, please comment below:

"I am willing to join this interaction"
Once we have at least 30 interested aspirants, I will share the link to a dedicated group where we can coordinate the session.

_Communication:_

If you have any queries, feel free to reach out via:

WhatsApp: 8376973006 (Text only, please do not call)

Telegram: @Pratiush3007 (Text only)

I will respond to your messages as soon as I can. I look forward to helping you navigate your own journey to success.

Regards
Pratiush Vishwanath
