Outback Mototek Crash Bars appear to be very solid and robust but also minimalist at the same time in my opinion.

When installing the Amazon USB port, the plastic bar clamp immediately broke when tightening it (very cheap plastic)... so I had to come up with an ugly solution of zip ties to one of the mirrors. I wired it directly to the battery since the USB port has an on/off switch so I don't have to worry about it draining the battery overnight. Seems solid and fast charges my phone. We will see how long it lasts haha.

Petcock repair kit

I bought a repair kit in hopes to renew the petcock but I encountered three setbacks

  1. The two membranes on the repair kit do not contain the plastic separator. In the picture the right one is the old one
  2. The screws, I cannot reach them.
  3. Ripped seve

Any advice?

Aftermarket Skid Plate

Are there any aftermarket skid plates available in the US yet? The only one I can find is the $400 sw motech one which is more than I’d like to pay for that right now.

KLE500 1999 wont start

Hello,

I recently bought a KLE500 1999 and it ran fine and drove it home around 200km. The next day i decided to check the spark plugs because of a noise that appeared when i was driving home(Im new to this bike in the end it was the exhaust gas valve thing the plug fell off), i removed one looked at it and it seemed fine so i put it back in and it wont start. Checked everything on the bike, there is fuel air and spark the timing is right, the valve clearances are good too. The only bad thing is the compression at 4 bar but in my opinion it should still start as it ran when bought( it also started the next morning before it took out the spark plug). Right now i put new ignition coils on it as i thought that is the problem it sounds better but still no start. I have tried starting it on ether but that didnt work either.
