CA questions/itinerary

We are going to LEGOLAND CA next month. Last time we went was quite a while ago for 2 nights and also wintertime so we didn’t experience the waterpark. We are staying 3 nights at the hotel. Here are my questions:

- do we still only get 2 park days even though I booked 3 nights?

- if we only have two park days, should I add a third? Last time we saw/did everything in 2 days but we didn’t have the waterpark. Is 2 days enough to do everything including the waterpark??

- how far of a walk is the waterpark from the LEGOLAND hotel? I know it’s in the back of the park but trying to figure out changing clothes etc. I saw on other threads there are lockers but I also don’t want to have to walk all the way back to the water park to get my stuff too at the end of the day.

-is the LEGOLAND hotel pool even open? Every time I click on it on the app it says closed.

Thank you!

Is the "kids stay free" worth it? First timer here

Hi! My kids (13, 8, 6) go to a year-round school and have fall break at the end of September and early October. I was thinking of taking them to LegoLand for the first time this Fall, but I see that they currently have a "kids stay free" deal that saves about $200.

My questions as a first time visitor are many, but for now, do they generally offer other deals similar to this (or better??) in the fall? What are crowds like in early September vs later September? And might it be worth it to stay off site to save money instead of trying to plan around this deal?

Thanks in advance for any insight you can share!

Legoland Florida very recent reviews?

We are thinking of taking our just turned 8 year old to Legoland for a quick two day trip and staying in the pirate hotel. He is not a fan of big scary rollercoasters which is part of the reason we chose Legoland but also I don’t feel like we have enough time to plan Disney world which he has yet to go to. Has anyone gone very recently and can they offer their experiences?

Legoland, Ca - itinerary for park w/ 2 and 4 year old

Hi all. Going to legoland Ca at the end of July with 2 and 4 year old boys. Will be a Sunday so trying to have a solid itinerary to make sure we get all the highlights. Any ideas where to hit first when we first get in the park? I was thinking to start with the Dragon Coaster or the Ninjago ride just because I know those are super popular. I also know the Dino area is big with the little kids so not sure I should start there over the others I mentioned. Anything else I should prioritize?

Please be careful with the interactive ride screens at LEGOLAND California

I wanted to share our experience because I honestly never thought something like this could happen.
A few weeks ago, we took our family to LEGOLAND California. We had planned this trip for over a year and spent a lot of money to make it a special family vacation. While my husband and child were on one of the rides, my husband swiped his hand on an sensor screen that guests are supposed to use. The screen was badly cracked, (whole chunk of screen was missing) and the broken glass sliced his finger. There was blood everywhere, and the park medic came to treat him.

What upset me the most is that this wasn’t from horseplay or using the ride incorrectly. He was simply using the attraction the way it was intended.
We reported it right away, and everyone was kind in the moment. But afterward, the way it was handled was really disappointing. The rest of our vacation wasn’t what we planned. Instead of relaxing and enjoying everything we had planned, we spent the remainder of our trip trying to keep his wound clean and covered and avoiding activities that we felt could increase the risk of infection. It took away from what was supposed to be a relaxing, fun and memorable planned out family vacation.

LEGOLAND eventually offered us $348, in exchange, they wanted us to sign a legal release that would require us to give up future claims related to the incident and included restrictions on making public statements about it. We weren’t comfortable signing that. I also asked whether they could provide any inspection, maintenance, repair, incident, or other documentation related to the damaged screen. They declined to provide their internal documentation.
I’m not posting this because I want to tell people not to visit LEGOLAND. I’m posting because I don’t want another family to go through what we did.
My advice to parents is to take a quick look at any interactive buttons, touch screens, sensors, or other ride components before you or your child reaches for them. We trusted that everything guests were expected to touch would be safe, and unfortunately that wasn’t our experience.

[California] are tickets included with Annual Pass hotel discount?

Hi everyone, this is our family’s first time going to LEGOLAND California, so I wanted to confirm before I buy the wrong thing.

We’re a family of 4: 2 adults and 2 kids. I bought an Elite Annual Pass for myself. Then I used the annual passholder hotel discount to book a stay at the LEGOLAND California Hotel, the one with the direct entrance to LEGOLAND.

The regular hotel package page says the hotel includes tickets, but I’m not sure if that only applies to the Hotel + Tickets Package. Since I booked through the Annual Pass hotel discount, I’m thinking it might be room-only, meaning my wife and two kids still need separate park tickets.

Can anyone who has booked this way confirm?

Do I need to buy separate LEGOLAND tickets for my wife and 2 kids, while I enter with my Elite Annual Pass? Also, are there any passholder benefits like Bring-a-Friend tickets or discounts that might help cover one of them?

Thanks! First-time visitor, so I appreciate any advice.

Legoland Billund - food

Hi! We will be visiting Legoland Billund from the US with our three kids (6, 4, 1) soon and I have been trying to research the food options. I am intrigued by the idea of bringing our own food to save money but wondering if any tourists have done this - like did you purchase a cooler in Denmark and all the utensils etc to make sandwiches? Im not sure logistically how this works when you’re not coming from home. Any tips appreciated!

Shark Bait drink recipe

Legoland California

We purchased this Shark Bait drink for the kids which was located at a stall near the shallow pool inside the Waterpark. Wondering if anyone knows the recipe as my boys have not stopped asking for more. I know it had the red popping pearls at the bottom and whipped cream on top but what is that blue slightly carbonated drink in the middle? Thank you!

Best deal on tickets?

When’s the best time to buy one day tickets? Two adults and three kids (5, 4, and 2) are planning on going mid-January for the first time. We’re tagging it on after our visit to Disneyland and think our kids would enjoy it. I’ve sometimes seen where kids can get in free with adult tickets? Are there usually Black Friday deals? Husband is a first responder if that helps!

First Trip

Ok so I just booked my families very first trip to Legoland. We’re going early August and staying at the Castle Hotel. My kids are 3 and 6. Tell me ALLLLLL the needs to knows you can think of! With our hotel room we also got 2 day park hoppers.

One thing I’m a little confused about is early entry. So let’s say we get there Wednesday. Our room isn’t even ready until 4, so can we only go in early on the second day? For checkout do we need to leave the park at 11 to get our stuff and leave it in the car until we’re done in the park?

What’s a good order to do all this? I’m trying to figure out when the best time to do the water park is so that we can change in the hotel.
Here’s my thoughts:
Arrive (early entry)
Do legoland park until 2ish
Move to water park

Back to room when water park closes. Change.

Go back to Legoland until close.
Aquarium?
Then back to the room for hotel activities.

Day 2
Breakfast
Water park depending on weather?
Change
Park and aquarium until close

What are the hotel activities? I know about the treasure hunt. Any advice for food? We’re not really buffet people. Is that the only option?

Anything special they do anywhere for birthdays?

Is two days enough to do everything?
How big is the park? Should I do a stroller? My kids are pretty good walkers without complaining but they can’t handle Disneyland for reference.

I really appreciate literally any advice about this trip big or small

Oh and I also saw our trip is during “Lego festival” what is that?

Legoland NY survival strategy July 3-5

First time trip to Legoland with a 3yrs old toddler. Heard there is no shade, so any advice to survive the crowd and heat would be much appreciated! Of course we are expecting a great time with fireworks and extended hours! Cheers!

trying not to overdo our Legoland trip this sept lol

were thinking to take our kids to LL CA this September. Theyre 6 and 8 and Im trying to figure out the best way to do it w/o cramming too much into weekend

this is basically the plan right now:

Saturday
• Get to Legoland early
• Go straight to Driving School because everyone says the line gets long really fast
• Do Ninjago, The Dragon, and Coastersaurus in the morning
• Grab lunch early
• Spend the afternoon doing Miniland and whatever rides the kids want to repeat
• Maybe check out SEA LIFE too if kids still has energy left

Sunday
• Slow morning and breakfast
• Spend a little time at the beach
• Head home in the afternoon

I cant tell if 1 full day at the park is enough or if we’ll wish we added another day. Also trying to decide if staying at the legoland hotel is actually worth the extra money or if nearby hotels are basically the same xpaerience??
would love any tips who’ve gone recently because I somehow always end up either overplanning trips or completely winging them with no middle ground

Bringing Food Into Park

Were heading to CA Legoland Waterpark next week and want to bring in some snacks and food, has anyone had any trouble bringing in stuff to the park? Specifically the waterpark?

Anyone used guest passes without the member there?

My friends have extra guest passes and offered them to me. However they won't be able to join me. I know the site says they need to be present but has anyone tried it without the pass holder there?

Free parking expires 6/30 CA

Can’t guarantee it will work, but hope someone can get use out of it. Will delete after someone claims

July crowds?

We’re headed to Legoland Thursday July 2nd with my 13 year old godson and 3 year kiddo. I’m just wondering what we can expect for crowds and wait times for summer. We only live 2 hours away and we normally visit in December or January with the kids, which is probably much slower than July.

The teen will definitely want to ride the coasters and we’re all excited for the new galaxy land. Thankfully the 3 year old travels well and does decent in lines, but I’m a planner so I like to know what I’m getting into.

Drug screen?

I got recently hired in admission/ride operation and was wondering if the drug tests screens for THC. I think california law says it’s not allowed but im just not sure.
