LegoLand California mid-July

We are traveling to San Diego mid-July. We will be spending a day at LegoLand (not staying on property, just taking a day trip). There will be 3 adults and 2 kids (2.5 year old and 9 year old). We are not from the area so please share tips, trick, etc. basically anything we should know. Are any of the add-ons worth it? They seem steep when thinking about having to pay for all of us. We will bring swimsuits/towels/changes of clothes so the kiddos can do the water park area too.

Thanks!

Costco Tickets - Best Value?

If we plan to do 2 days, one day in Legoland and one day at the Waterpark, the Costco $129 3 day hopper is the best value right now. Looking to go next weekend to Legoland CA

Hypothetical: I want to visit multiple theme parks in Europe. If I were to visit them all in a week with no plans for hotel (sleeping during transit.) What would my week look like?

I have an hotel/park discount for a undisclosed theme park chain, and would like to use it as an excuse to visit other theme parks in Europe.

What would my week look like if I wanted to visit:

Priority List

Disneyland Paris
Legoland Deutschland (mainly the Fabrik store I’ll be real lol)
Efteling
Alton Towers

Omittable
Thorpe Park
Lego House in Billund.

This may sound absurd, just wanna take a challenge and visit as many parks as possible.

Don’t want advice on funds, I understand the risk lol.
I do want advice on time. Would I have time to visit 5/6 of these attractions in a week? Would there be time to sleep?

I’ve been lucky to visit these countries in my lifetime many times but I’ve never been to these attractions specifically so I’m not stopping to see the Eiffel Tower or any historical/cultural stops on this trip.

First pretend I’m a man that can sleep in any situation and will always be lucky with flights/trains.

Then pretend that I must take at least one half day to compress and there’s issues or a strike or something.

Both scenarios are likely.

Thanks for the advice, look forward to the suggestions.

PS. Would also appreciate suggestions on what’re the best airports to depart back to America cost-wise/quality-wise.

Lego Discovery Center Washington DC - The Truth

Throwaway account.

For almost a year now LDC DC has been terribly mismanaged and the employee have been used and abused by the current GM. The current management has put employees and guests at constant risk by refusing to fix clear and obvious safety issues that have been REPEATEDLY brought to their attention by both staff and guests over the past year. Some (but not all) of these issues include:

- Mold in the 4D fog machines

- Dirty and damaged mascot suits that have made multiple members of staff sick from wearing them.

- Lack of proper ride training and ensuring of competence before certifying staff on the dark ride.

- Lack of proper training on fire safety and evacuation procedures.

- Sewage water in the Hero Zone playground that the General Manager and Regional Manager forced the staff to reopen despite being improperly “cleaned” due to a corporate visit from Lego.

And this isn’t even mentioning how the General Manager has covered up thefts at this location, violated labor laws by retaliating against any employees who dare be open about their concerns (even expressly telling some employees they aren’t allowed to utilize official channels to report his misconduct), hired his personal friends into various positions to spy on his employees, and so much more.

The staff of LDC DC have tried every official, proper channel to have something done about this, but thusfar nothing has ever come of it as the members of Merlin’s HR staff (though I suppose I should say former as they are now technically Lego HR staff) are quite keen on shielding the General Manager and his friends from any accountability for the hostile, abusive, and unsafe working conditions they have brewed. So, this is my last resort. This is my last go at having something done and hoping this attraction can return to the happy place it once was. Please, internet, I know I may be screaming into the void here but I’m out of options. Please help.

EDIT: Forgot to mention how the GM has fired people he doesn’t like/think will whistleblow for comically petty reasons while covering up the fact his close, personal friend, the commercial manager, provably stole a $500 set and faced no consequences. Or the Operations Manager breaking ride evacuation protocol with no consequences. Or the Bookings Coordinator also breaking ride safety protocols with no consequences.

Worth mentioning also is how he and all the above mentioned staff cannot do a single aspect of their jobs without ChatGPT. Every email and document they write is created with it.

Legoland California - June Weekend- Are We Underestimating?

Considering June 12 thru June 14 (Friday to Sunday) for a trip to Legoland. We will stay in the Castle or Legloland hotel and will be driving in and likely to arrive around 2 pm on Friday to California.

Thought: enjoy the hotel and amenities on Friday and Sea Life. Legoland on Saturday and Sunday. We will do 2 day at Lego.

Should we: purchase Fast passes for this trip? My kiddo is 5 but on the shorter side, unless he gets a weird growth spurt he's not quite 40" at this time. He's been to Disney so familiar with long waits, but will lose his mind probably beyond 30 minutes.

Seems like we should buy the breakfast buffet in advance. Any other suggestions? We are Lego lovers and want to just have a nice little weekend to enjoy ourselves.

1 year old will turn 2 years old 6 months into family having an annual pass

We don’t plan on renewing and we will have our passes for 6 months when our youngest turns 2. It seems like a waste of money to get him a pass for a year but only use it for 6 months. That’s 6 months of unused wasted $. Even if we did renew, we wouldn’t renew until their pass expired so we could be on the same timeline. Has anyone else dealt with something like this?

annual pass

i’m taking my son tomorrow, we already have tickets!! However, wondering if anyone would bless me with their annual pass so i can get some percentage off on food and merch???🙏🙏🙏 At seaworld they don’t ask for ID once you are in the park and I’m hoping it’s the same for Legoland, hence why i’m asking! Thanks!

Discount tickets for Christmas

I’m excited! I'll be taking my toddler and husband to Legoland California this Christmas, their first time visiting a theme park. We're coming from Canada with a limited budget and are seeking advice on discounts for tickets. We won’t be staying at their hotel and plan to visit for just one day, but we're open to other ideas and suggestions.

Legoland,Ca in July/Aug - do I need fast track?

Hello all! First time going to legoland, going with a 2 and 4 year old. Wondering if Fast Track is worth it or not as they seem expensive. We are only going for one day. We don’t need to do everything per se but would want to do at least the highlights.

Edit: would be going on a Sunday

Build a Minifigure and Minifigure Factory

is there a difference between the ‘build a minifigure’ experience at legoland billund and the standard minifigure factory that’s in the lego house store and at many different stores around the world?
