Issues with my CLE 2026

Issues with my CLE 2026

Last night I fillup my tires with my electric air pumper using the 12V in the car, now I tried to pull the car out of the garage in reverse, the car will not move (parking brake is off), but engine turns on. I don't know if the two issues are related. Any thoughts on the issue? I hate to have it tow if it is a simple issue of me being a dumbass. any help is appreciated.

Severe Rust on my CLK 230 what to do

I bought this CLK for 1,000 euros second hand without realizing it was so badly rusted. Both wheel arches are rusted, but i just put only one side on the photos but its the same on the other side. It’s my first car, but luckily I’ve got a bit of experience with cars and so on. I just wanted to know what the best way would be to fix the problem, and I haven’t found anything online – such as reference photos – to help me weld it up properly.

I Finally Unlocked the C63 S

I’ve been contemplating getting my C63s tuned since I got it and I decided to go through with a little ECU tune for my daily enjoyment.

These cars are really muted from factory. The difference an ECU tune makes on the C63s feels like night and day. It feels like the car went from a ‘comfort first’ set up to a ‘performance first’ set up and I wish they came like that from factory. Currently making 570-580hp

I plan on getting a stage 2 tune with catted or catless downpipes at some point but I will need you guys’ help with my decision. If you’ve had either a catless or catted downpipes on your C63 or any V8 AMG what’s your experience been like with the smell?

I have included a link to my Stage 1 (ecu) tune experience in the comments section for those interested.

Mercedes 190e W201 1992 not starting after battery change. Alarm is sounding.

I’m hoping for some help! I bought a merc 190e and the previous owner fitted a new battery, when the car is unlocked the alarm sounds. I put the key in the ignition and turn it, the alarm stops but the car does not start. I have to wait for the hazards to stop flashing then the car can start. Does anybody know what the problem could be? The car is absolutely spotless and has no other visible issues. Thank you in advance!

Engine rattle at start

Maybe somebody knows where this rattling at the beginning comes from? I checked the timing chain and it had no play at all.
It appears at every cold and warm start but not at a instant restart.

2016 Mercedes c-300 issues please help

Hello, posting for a random elderly gentleman who is experiencing troubles.

2016 Mercedes c-300 4 cylinder turbo

The car won’t start. He pushes the start button and the guage wands move but the car just will not start. He has taken it to a European auto shop but can’t afford the dealership. Just wondering if anyone has had these problems before? It isn’t the starter. The air conditioning went out and then it stopped turning on.

Apologies for being vague, it isn’t my car and I know practically nothing about cars except basic stuff.

Thank you in advance and apologies for anything stupid I posted as I am ignorant in this area.

Someone expert on 9g gear box?

It all started on August 5, I took my Cls350d 9g auto to mercedes workshop for gearbox maintenance. I didn't see anything at the time because the next day I went on vacation. This Monday I saw a stain of oil coming from the gearbox. I contacted the garage and they made the diagnosis. They told that I have broken the carter in this and I have to pay to change. But something doesn't seem right... I was told they cleaned the box and left the car running 45 mins without oil appearing. He only appeared after the car went on the road to test.

Wouldn't it be normal for the carter to constantly leak oil? Why doesn't it stop even if it warms up?

How would you modify it?

This is my 1989 300D S124 I bought 2 months ago, had been sitting for 10+ years. All maintenance made, new alternator and battery. Looking to fix the odometer which currently doesn’t work.

I want to turn this vehicle into a overland-like tourer, what mods would you recommend that are both useful and look cool, like adventurous.

Need help with 2015 c250:

I’ve been in love with Mercedes my whole life and I’m going back to school in the fall to finish for my bachelors degree (I managed to get my associates post Covid-19 & I live in the US)

I own a 2015 Mercedes c250 coupe and I’ve had it for 4 years now. I was hoping to have it for another 6 years since the mileage is at 114k miles.

Few months ago after a bad breakup I left my ex to move back to my home town and I transported my car back with me.

The car since has had issues with the coolant bleeding into the oil reservoir. I was told a head gasket issue was cause of the chaos and that it’s hard to save.

Before this my timing chain and camshaft adjusters was due to be replaced but around the time (over a year and a half prior) I was prepping to have it dealt with I lost my job during one of Americas biggest layoffs. So I wasn’t able to have the camshaft adjusters dealt with.

As of now I start a new job that will be bringing in at least 70-75k a year within the next 2 weeks (a job I wanted for the past 3 years to help me pay for my education and good benefits of the job. Again I start school this fall).

My car is in one piece but still hasn’t been started or ran for 2 months now as I had to still move some furniture back home as well as prepare for my new job to support me through the finishing of my degree.

I will need solid transportation between work and school for commute reliability. I even reached out to some independent Euro shops that specialize in Mercedes and Euro vehicle repairs and they were highly hesitant to touch the task.

Asking fellow members of the Mercedes community, what would you do? And what would be the best route to take in this scenario? I love the car and I was hoping to make it last until I could upgrade later on. But now things seem bleak. What’s the best call to action?

Got it back from dealer like this.

As the title says, my car was in the shop for work, and I discovered this while cleaning my car the other day. What’s the best thing to use to remove this unknown dirt?

I know it did not come from me because I have seat covers on my car when I drive it……and when I go to the dealer, their seat cover only covers some of the seat, not the sides.

To many miles on an e55 amg

I am looking at an e55 amg with 125k miles is that too much?? I am a truck guy and new to Mercedes and idk how much this car should realistically go for I can get it for 10 grand is that reasonable here is the description- Supercharged Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG 2003
This is one of the last hand-built AMG sedans from the legendary W211 generation, powered by 5.5L supercharged V8 (M113K) producing 480 horsepower. There are no other E55 AMG models for sale in ——- You can find this model in other states for around $25,000. My car isn't in museum or private-collection condition, but it runs well and is in pretty good shape. The M113K engine, you can look up details about its longevity and owner reviews. Its giving you a real sense of freedom on the road.
Here is what I’ve done to the car recently.
This car has been well maintained, with the engine oil changed every 3,000 miles (Mobile1 5w-40). Fresh coolant.
The transmission fluid was replaced 500 miles ago (Fuchs TITAN ATF 4134). The old fluid was still red, had no burnt smell, and contained no metal shavings. The transmission shifts smoothly.
The engine oil was also changed 500 miles ago. The spark plugs are in good condition. Price obo.
