Not understanding the hate for Catalyst on metacritic?
I found this game because I remember the original was a big deal 20 years ago, and i saw it had similarities to ghostrunner. I've gotten really into this ghostrunner game and felt this was the closest I can get to that. I've played about an hours worth and think it's pretty damn cool so far. I go and check metacritic, and it has a 69 rating.
Idk what's up with gamers, but they're probably the most critical community when it comes to entertainment. Like how does this game deserve a 69? Its aesthetic/design is awesome, the parkour is good, and the traversal is badass. You can tell a decent amount of work went into this project, and I read these reviews where nerds are nitpicking every little design flaw. If a game like starfield gets a mid-80s metacritic score and this has a 69, then I'm convinced some critics are just biased...
Also, I went for this one over the OG because the gameplay looked more modern and fluent. Well worth the $8 so far.
