So, when a new song plays, I smiles mishear the lyrics and it really makes me laugh.
Example: I kept hearing the repeat “rogaine, rogaine, rogaine”, but the song was actually “Girl Gang”
Example 2: “Jiggle the Elves” turned out to be “Cheer for the Elves”
Any other one else have this happen?
For 43 years, I thought the lyrics were, “it’s Armistice Day” not “it’s a mistake.” Never mind it’s the literal title of the song. I thought they were being sarcastic. That the cold war was a lip service treaty or an "Armistice Day" but really we were at war. Which fits with the song.
For some reason, I thought the chorus was “just like the Pied Piper, lead rats rule the streets…” instead of “led rats through the streets”. I guess I ignored that he just said “pied piper” and I imagined metal ROUS’s had taken over.
