Morrissey (and some Smiths) Collection (1988–2014) – Vinyl, Cassettes, Bootlegs, Tour Programmes, Books, Poster (Local Pickup Toronto, Canada)

Hi everyone,

The time has come for me to part ways with my personal Morrissey collection since 1988 which I have been dreading or contemplating for the past 3-5 years.

I am looking for local Toronto fans who will appreciate these items. There might be a couple of items I will keep for sentimental reasons.

My preference is to sell everything together as a single lot (or most of the items). You must be able to pick up the collection in person.

Thought I would share pictures first and send a message if interested. Make your own research on what is acceptable. I want it to be fair and will be appreciated. For example the poster is original 35 cm by 25 cm. James is not dead is in mint condition and a reprint from 1984 based on my research (bought in 1991 or 1992). Bootlegs will be given free to the buyer.

Morrissey Smoke Tee

Hi. I am after some advice. I had a photograph I took and edited of Moz used on an official Tour T-shirt back in 2017. The tee is no longer available to buy anywhere. I have a few of the tees left over from what was "gifted" to me by the Morrissey Merch team. I was thinking about selling them with a high-res print of the original image and maybe a copy of the email from Morrissey's management showing Morrissey's approval of using the image. Do you think people would want to buy this?

Posing in Paris - 1991 live bootleg

I picked this up for £20 in Manchester last fall, and it’s become my go-to record to put on while cooking. To me the highlights are the covers of “That’s Entertainment” and “Cosmic Dancer”, what do you all think?

Two new vinyl 7-inch releases in October- "Zoom zoom" & “Kerching Kerching”

The 7-inch discs “Zoom Zoom The Little Boy” and “Kerching Kerching” will both be released on the same day - 16 October 2026—on the Sire Records Label (Warner).

“Zoom Zoom The Little Boy” features an unreleased B-side “Without Music The World Dies,” written by Morrissey and Gustavo Manzur. The vintage sleeve image is by Tina Dehghani.

“Kerching Kerching” features an unreleased B-side “Isle Of Dogs,” written by Morrissey and Alain Whyte.
The vintage sleeve image is by Jake Walters.

All music was produced by Joe Chiccarelli and recorded in France.

Warner Music Group will release new and unseen official videos for both songs.

The discs will be available globally, but please place your orders at Rough Trade Records, or somewhere else-as you see fit.

OP's comment: Oh well it seems it's all real after all and coming soon. Only bad thing is that "without music the world dies" is ten times better than terrible "Zoom Zoom The Little Boy” and should be the A-side. I would prefer to have it in 12-inch

Various - The Queen Is Dead (1996)

After 40 years, which band should cover which song on The Smiths’ The Queen Is Dead album ?
The Smiths released the album in 1996.
A French magazine recreate the album in 1996.
After 40 years, in 2026 do you think this album should have another celebration ?

Female equivalent of Moz?

Just hanging out at work listening to The Sundays thinking they were a little Smiths coded.

Then I started to think who the female equivalent to Morrissey would be.

Maybe Bjork? Tori? Would love to hear some opinions.

I one time said that Morrissey does clown things sometimes and my mom was mad at me for 3 days.

She is always complaining about him canceling shows and stuff but I said it and she’s telling me I don’t understand, I’m a poser, a fake fan, and a liar. It’s like talking to a 70 year old about the Beatles saying I’m too young or I don’t understand. This was two weeks ago, not a big deal, but we were watching ufc 330 and I told someone that ilia topuria is a clown and she said, “oh, kind of like how Morrissey is a clown.” So crazy. Another thing is like, he does not even know who you are, I don’t worship Tony Iommi, he does not even know me, so if someone talks bad, I really don’t care.

Huge Collection

Recently started going through the posters I've collected over the last 32 years and putting them up in my ebay store. Probably 20 up with 40 or more to go through with maybe 3 to 4 new listing daily. Next I think I'll start going through my import CDs and signed items. Come on by and see if there's something you like.

Morrissey in Leeds - cancellation?

I’m thinking of travelling to England to see Morrissey in Leeds on December 19. It’ll take a fair amount of planning (and money), so naturally I’m haunted by the possibility of a cancellation.

I’ve already seen him once this year, but I’d love to catch another show before the MIAL tour disappears into the mist. Given his history of cancelled dates, I’m a little nervous about committing (especially with the recent cancellations in Vegas).

Does he have any particular record of cancelling shows in Leeds or that area? I’m also considering Glasgow.

Am I mad to risk it, or is this simply the burden of being a Morrissey obsessive? Worth it? Thoughts?

Artwork by Morrissey for the release of a 'new' Smiths single in the upcoming box set 'Rough Trade 45s: Volume 2', 'The Headmaster Ritual' with 'I Want The One I Can't Have' on the B-side. The box set is releasing on October 30.

Both Morrissey and Johnny Marr worked together for the release of this single, agreeing on the two tracks being selected. They also both contributed sleeve notes, depicted in photo two (albeit in bad quality). As he did during his time in The Smiths, Morrissey solely oversaw the selection of the artwork. The artwork features a 1939 photo of American actor Billy Halop.

The box set is available to pre-order on Rough Trade Records' website.

When did you discover The Smiths/Morrissey?

Hey everyone. Recently I’ve made a post telling about my own story of finding out about The Smiths/Morrissey. Shortly, it happened in 2025 when I watched “500 days of summer” and after checking the group out I instantly got hooked, and fell in love with their discography but now I’m curious about others' stories.

When was the first time you ever heard about them? What was the first song you listened to? Have you got any stories about becoming Moz’s/The Smiths’ fan? I’ll be really happy to read some comments about other fans’ experiences with this incredibly talented and unique group.
