I want to create my own Commander Deck

Hi! I recently started on MTG and I learned that you can print proxies and even create your own. I'm a big fan of Ghost (the band), and I think Ghost universe would be great to create a Commander deck.

What are your recommendations on structure, how to design attacks/sorceries/enchantments, how to make the deck strong (but not unfairly strong), etc. Thanks!

Friend wanted this urza saga art so I splurged on the real foiling

Card came from an upcycled copy of the background card. Printing achieved using my own custom proxy method

Just got into proxies but I don't know enough about materials

I want to make the "big step" into proxies next month, and I've already decided which printer to buy (most likely an ET-2800) but i don't know which paper i should buy, what lamination is, and which steps are strictly necessary and which are optional. I heard some people use some kind of plastic-like paper and others who use photography paper, in which case is lamination needed and what are the benefits? My goal is to get cards that have a thickness similar to original cards, not too thick, nor too fragile.

Thanks in advance everyone, and have a good day!

Proxyjak's "Open Box" deals are actually out-of-spec, not open box.

Just a heads up that Proxyjak sells an "open box" variant listed here: https://proxyjak.com/products/inkjet-proxy-cardstock-white-core-semi-gloss?variant=46374459342927

It turns out these are not open boxes, they are factory rejects. This is explained in the package in an attached letter when it arrives after purchase, but it's not disclosed at all in the product listing. It is not as thick/strong as their normal listings despite them charging the same price for them.

Knowing this would have changed my purchasing decision, and I think it's intentionally disingenuous of them to hide that this paper is out-of-spect.

Since I learned about it here and from CryCry's videos, this seemed like a good place to warn others.

As far as how it prints? It's nearly identical to this stuff on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQC8QRF1) but at 3.5x the price.

Bad printing?

So I ordered some of this proxyjack paper and printed out some cards on my Older inkjet printer. The print came out way darker than it should IMO and the ink smudged a lot even after sitting for like an hour. Is it printer? Printer settings? Do I need a newer printer? Is inkjet ok to use? Looking at a OfficeJet Pro 8135e because I can get one on clearance but if it yields the same results I don’t want to buy it.

My first proxy batch: Dandán deck for a friend of mine

Im printing on 180 gr double sided glossy photo paper and laminating with 75 mic sheets. They have a similar rigidity to a original card, but they are thicker and a little heavier.

I'm still ok with the result. Gonna try 160 gr paper on my next order.

Took some pictures and made a video with the help of a friend 😁

Threw this together on a whim, I have no regrets. It's for my Ashling, The Pilgrim commander deck.

I've been making a bunch of proxy stuff for a few decks I'm working on, planning on doing a big order from Printing Proxies. I wanted some on-theme custom mountains for my Ashling deck.... I wish I was more sorry, but I'm not.

3d printed simple outline tokens

I started making these simplistic outline tokens and had to make Jimothy! Need to finish off the design and maybe add a little bit more detail to this rascal, but just had to share. The bear token gives an idea of what it looks in real life. What should I do next? I’m thinking squirrel..

This could be the best proxy idea I've thought of.

The market background even kind of matches the rooftops a bit. I can almost see someone painting them into the frame tossing that pigskin around or just them on the roof.
