Beware at DSBN meet

White supremacist and all around psycho bigot, Rob Primo, is wandering around the track and field meet. If you're here with your kids keep an eye out and keep them away from him.

The loudest anti pedo voices are usually telling on themselves.

Be extra cautious around the bathrooms.

Edit: hes not protesting. He's quietly walking around which makes me more nervous.

Help Planning

I’m surprising my girlfriend with a quick one-night trip to Niagara Falls. We’re driving in from NYC and trying to make the most of the short stay. Any must-see spots, good food recommendations, or hidden gems? Is the Hornblower cruise worth it? Wish we had a little more time, so I’d love to hear what people think is absolutely worth doing.

I built a free page that shows all the restaurant deals across Niagara in one place

Hey everyone, I'm a local developer in St. Catharines. I got tired of scrolling through Facebook groups trying to find what's on special at restaurants around Niagara, so I built a page that pulls all the deals together in one spot.

It covers St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Welland, Fort Erie, NOTL, Port Colborne, Grimsby, and more. Wing nights, pizza combos, lunch specials, happy hours — about 80+ deals from restaurants across the region right now.

rallybite.com/deals

It's free, no sign-up needed, and I update it weekly. You can filter by city, cuisine type, and see what's available today vs coming up this week.

If your favourite restaurant has deals that are missing, let me know and I'll add them. Also happy to hear any feedback on what would make it more useful.

"64 years ago, on May 17, 1964, the first Tim Hortons opened in Hamilton, Ontario, under the name Tim Horton Donuts."

I miss those days (1980s). There were rotating treats behind glass, brick wall interior, large framed portrait of Tim Horton in either Sabres or Leafs jersey, the row of stools at the counter, the dresses and lil hats worn by the employees, the little silver ashtrays on all the tables, the smell of cigrarette smoke, the ceramic cups, the fresh donuts, it was coffee + donuts, before all the additions. I got hot chocolate & a honey crueller, usually as a reward for helping my Dad deliver firewood.

What casinos have hotels? Do any of them status match?

I'm a VIP players at various casinos in the US. None of them have properties in the Niagara area. I'm planning to visit later this year and am wondering which casinos have hotels attached and if any of them status match from other casinos.

Sheraton Fallsview or Hyatt Regency

Hi everyone,

I have a high floor falls view room booked with the Sheraton in September. However, I see there are some similarly-priced falls view rooms at the Hyatt Regency as well. The thing about those rooms are they are not labeled as "High Floor" rooms, so the view might not be as good.

Was wondering if anyone has any experience with the normal Falls View Queen Bed rooms at the Hyatt Regency? If so, how did you like it, was the view worth it over getting a high floor room at the Sheraton? Thanks!

Truck Broken Into Near South Pelham

Last night my truck was broken into and my backpack was stolen. This bag is extremely important to me, its traveled the world with me. Whom ever was in my truck took my crack change purse and this bag. What has be baffled is that the contents of the bag are of little to no value, within it were some clothes and my toiletries bag for going to my girlfriends house. Its a extremely unique bag. If seen or you have it by some long shot please message me or leave a comment. I greatly appreciate it.

Lost Ring 🙏

I know this is a longshot, but I’m gonna try anyway. 🤷‍♀️😭 I was in Niagara Falls Canada yesterday, and I lost a ring that is very very special to me. It was a silver cross ring that was my late father’s that he gave to me. It might have fallen off while I was on the Niagara City Cruise boat sadly but it might have fallen off after too. I traced my steps and I’ve notified every place I was and was going for one last ditch effort here and other platforms, I’ve even prayed to St Anthony.

Date: May 15, 2016
Time: 10am to 5pm - most likely between 1:30pm and 4:30pm
Places:
- Clifton Hill
- stairs from Niagara state park to Skylon Tower lot
- all of the Niagara City Cruises area
- sidewalk and park along Niagara Blvd from Queen Victoria Park to Clifton Hill
- Grandview Gift Shop
- Starbucks near Niagara City Cruises
- fallsview Hilton
- fallsview resort/casino

My heart is broken for losing it but if anyone does find it please let me know. It would really mean the world to me ♥️🙏 I’m located in NJ. I will try to find a picture to share and update the post too.

Update: here are some pics of the ring https://postimg.cc/gallery/cvr4Vw0

Niagara Renaissance Faire

It's scheduled for this weekend at Firemen's Park. Has anyone gone to it before? How does it compare to other Renaissance Faires in the region?

Free skateboard lessons for kids this Victoria Day weekend at the Virgil Stampede 🛹

Hey Niagara! There's something really cool happening this Victoria Day weekend at the Virgil Stampede in Niagara-On-The-Lake (Virgil Sports Park, 1565 Four Mile Creek Road, Virgil, Ontario).

CJ's Skatepark is setting up at the Stampede on Victoria Dav, Monday the 18th of May 2026 between 11AM and 3PM, and running complimentary skateboard lessons for kids between ages 3 and 15. Gear included. So if your kid has ever wanted to try skateboarding, this is a zero-pressure, no-cost way to give it a shot. No experience needed, no equipment needed, just show up.

Photo by Dave Van De Laar sourced from Niagara Now CJ's Skatepark Article linked below

There are also contests with prizes running throughout the weekend, so even the kids who've been skating for a while will have something to get hyped about.

CJ's is a not-for-profit dedicated to youth development through skateboarding, and they're recognized nationally by Canada Skateboard. So, the instruction is legit and it is welcoming for all skill levels.

Beyond the skateboarding, the Stampede has plenty of other things going on:

  • Rides & Midway
  • Free Pony Rides
  • Kids' Pavilion (juggling, face painting, comedy shows)
  • Outdoor Food Court
  • Victoria Day Fireworks on Monday at ~9:30pm

Hope to see you there!

VSC Processing Time

Hi! I’ve recently been offered a job working with vulnerable populations, which requires a VSC from NRP before I can start working.

I had one done in September for a student placement, and the results were emailed the next day. But this time, it seems to be taking a while (I filed an application May 3)?

This is my first time filing an application for non-volunteer/school related purposes, so maybe processing is a bit longer? How long does it take to hear back, and should I call them?
